This place is horrible. I have bought wine from here multiple times and on too many occasions, the wine was bad (as in it was improperly stored) and sour when I opened the bottle. I finally got annoyed and decided to go back and ask for a refund and they not only refused to give me my money back but wouldn’t even let me exchange it. With as many wine stores in this neighborhood, you should avoid this store at all costs.

Out of all the good to excellent wine stores in the area this place is my favorite. It’s not as high end and fancy as some of the wine stores near by but they’ve won me over with their solid selection wines and spirits at prices lower than most of the other stores near by. The owners are friendly and make good suggestions too.
It’s a great place in terms of quality meets price. That said if you’re looking for pricier wines ($ 50.00 and up) this won’t be your port of call. Better off going to Bottle and Soul on Lexington where i go when i’m planning on spending a lot. But as source for well priced great daily drinking wines you won’t find better than Wine Emporium.

Why are there only 2 reviews here?! This wine store is awesome. Staff is always very friendly and the layout of the wines is well organized. There’s a small refrigerated section in the back for chilled prosecco, champagnes & white wines — great variety and well priced. Don’t recall the hours of operation at moment but whenever I walk by, day or night, they seem to be open. I believe open til 10pm on week nights if not mistaken … Glad to have this shop around the corner from me.

I love this spirits/​wine shop, and am glad it is so close to my apartment. It is one of the few in the city to have a wider selection of Beaulieu Vineyards and Sterling Vineyards varietals. It also has the widest variety of Smirnoff flavored vodkas in the city (that I’ve seen so far). The staff is always very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. You can find wines from different regions of Spain (not just Rioja) and from as Far East as Turkey. Lately I’ve been coming here for Spanish Rosé since it is one of the few places that have it available refrigerated in the neighborhood.

I love this little Wine store. they are a hidden gem between 80th/​81st street on 2nd. They have the greatest selections, prices and are so friendly all of the time.
