Zap Lube Oil Change

Nope. Staff seemed friendly enough, but when I came back to check on the car they told me I needed a «motor flush», which would have turned a $ 30 change into $ 160. Luckily, I called my dealership, who I got the car from only a few months prior, and they told me that was ridiculous because my car has low miles and I had just gotten an inspection, so I turned it down. These guys will pull a fast one on you, no matter how nice you treat them. Crooks.

Exactly what everyone else before me has said. Went in for an oil change, then they told me I needed $ 300 worth of work. I went with the middle of the road «repairs» which it turned out, I didn’t need at all. To top it all off, my check engine light came on two blocks out the door. Avoid this place at all costs!

Scum bags! $ 89 for oil change was abt to cost $ 460!
The mechanic try to trick you to wash the engine change this and that. He is the worst guys ever to take your money. Do not ever go there!!!

Yes going in for an oil change they will advise you to get other stuff cleaned out/​replaced etc. They are trying to make money. With regards to service and friendly staff they are great.
Wish they had a better environment for people to sit while you’re waiting on your car but hey it’s Atlantic Ave. Definitely would go again.
Spent $ 230 on a engine clean, oil change etc. If you are firm but friendly they will cut you a good deal

These guys are clowns I went in for a $ 30 oil change he comes back with $ 300 worth of repairs. I insisted on no Flush just oil change, no to power steering flush, just oil change etc. I double checked with my mechanic. These guys are CROOKS. I will never go back.

I would be very cautious about coming here. My first experience was positive: they changed my oil fast and charged me the standard fare. The second time I came was not as simple. One of the guys working on my car told me that my engine was full of dirty fuel and gave me a laundry list of random repairs that amounted to $ 291. I told him that was too much money and only wanted a regular oil change. Then told me they could give me a better deal and just give me the oil change with an «engine flush», which would clean it out for and increase it’s longevity. I had no idea what that was, but it seemed like a reasonable proposition. Unfortunately, that was a big mistake on my part because I later learned that cars should only get an «engine flush» when they have low mileage and haven’t received an oil change in a long time. That didn’t apply in my case (my mileage is over 100,000 and i get my oil changed on a regular basis). I realize that a lot of mechanics overcharge their customers and will encourage you to make excessive repairs. But these guys were disgustingly dishonest. They charged me for something that was completely unnecessary and potentially harmful to my car. I’m never going back there again.

These guys are fast and the free car wash is nice touch also. I ‘m always in and out in fifteen minutes with Zap Lube.

I’ve never posted a review on Unilocal before, but I went to Zap last weekend for an oil change and car wash and damn! it was a good experience. The oil change was quick, professional, and very affordable (~$ 32). The car wash is one of the drive through ones, which I always thought weren’t very good, but I’ve never seen my car so clean. Seriously, it was shining top to bottom. I got the fanciest option, $ 9 I think, and it was completely worth it. With that wash you get a kit to clean up your tires and make then super shiny. You also get to use the vacuum hoses after the wash for the inside. The folks who work there were all extremely nice. I couldn’t recommend this place any higher.
