3 stars. Ordered the capreses and eggplant parmigiana(average at best). Also tried the zigolinis pizza, prosciutto Di Parma pizza and Mista salad, Zigolinis salad, and ceasar salad(best of all 4 salads). Everything is average. Service is always slow.

This place has good salads and flavorful pizza but is fairly expensive. The service from the cook to waiter and manager were bad to say the least. The cook burned the pizza and didn’t bother to cut it properly. The Aussie waiter had an attitude and didn’t bother to report our concerns to the manager who was also a slacker as well. Just don’t expect good service at this place.

Ordered the Diavalo pizza via seamless, where a 20% off discount was offered. Was happy about the on time delivery considering some of the negative reviews on Unilocal, and the pizza did look good upon arrival but I was not impressed as soon as I picked up a slice. It was completely soggy throughout, as the thin crust was just unable to hold the toppings. The soppresata was good but the«spicy oil» wasn’t spicy at all and I could tell the mozzarella wasn’t the fresh kind, rather the processed off-white kind that Polly-o makes. That being said, I would give this place another shot but try something different.

There are lots of vegetarian options here, and the space is great for a date, but the food isn’t good. My salad was limp and the dressing boring. I had soupy, saltless, tasteless eggplant parmigiana as an entrée. And there was spotty service. Overall, not a great meal.

Went on a recent trip to NYC. It is located in Hells Kitchen, a little west of Time Square area. It is just far enough away from Times Square that the usual tourists are not there and it is a quiet place to enjoy a meal before a show. It is a small, but very tastefully decorated pizza place. It is not a pizza by the slice place but serves two sizes of individual, thin crust, wood buring oven pizza. I had the sausage pizza and it was outstanding. The small size was perfect for one and the larger could be shared by two. Our waiter was really nice and the crust on the pizza was great. This place is highly recommended. It only has a tables for up to 4 so it is not good for larger groups.

I LOVE pizza so I figured Zigolinis would be the perfect place to have dinner. We ordered a few cocktails and the Zigolini salad to start. We chose the margherita di burrata after talking to the waitress. I was really hoping to enjoy this pizza but when I went to grab a slice, it literally flopped down and all the cheese fell off. The edges of the pizza weren’t too bad but the middle was completely a sog-fest(for lack of a better term). Sadly, this will not be my new pizza spot.

Zigolinis whipped up one of the best pizzas I have ever had. A pizza that still haunts my reverie, though months have passed since we met. A pizza that I have failed, on numerous occasions, to recreate. Oh, and they made it at 3 a.m. Artichoke, pecorino, truffle oil, and basil. Ambrosia for the weary(or maybe just drunk) soul. Visit Zigolinis on a Friday, rather than a Saturday, and order the 12″ over the 8″. On a Friday night, you’ll be met with great service and a killer playlist… the Shins, Grizzly Bear, and Modest Mouse. The dub step blasting on Saturday night didn’t pair quite as well with truffle oil. Needless to say, the vibe was completely different from one evening to the next… as in, shwasted 30-somethings in leather pants taking pictures of each other’s butts? The Saturday night special. Additionally, the quality of the 12″ was noticeably better than that of the 8″. Sure, it could have just been a fluke, but why risk it? It’s not like you won’t finish the 12″… if you can’t, ship me the rest and I’ll reimburse you. However, we also tried the 7-cheese, and I will say you’re bettering ordering that as an 8″. It’s a cheesetastic mindf*ck. Overall, Friday’s experience was 5-star and Saturday’s was 4-star. Since I can’t get over Friday… 5-stars wins this round. A tie-breaker is in order, and soon.

Celebrated my friend’s pre-birthday dinner at Zigolinis. It was a small and intimate restaurant! Apparently there was one waitress waiting on all the tables but I wish she was a bit more attentive. My friend and I shared the Prosciutto Di Parma Pizza, which is superbly delicious washing it down with Passion Fruit juice. I tried some of my other friend’s wheat penne with meatball… boy that was so delicious! Definitely a great pizza spot if you are craving something small but its fulfilling. I will be back soon!

Zigolini’s is a nice little joint on 9th Ave to grab a bite to eat. The food is good here, and it is open late(4 a.m.) so it’s a convenient spot in Hell’s Kitchen to grab a late night bite to eat. I’ve ordered delivery and grabbed a meal there. Each time, the food has been good. The pizza here is tasty, but, unfortunately, the last few times I’ve ordered the Diavola pizza here it has been very soggy… you can’t pick up the slice. you will need to use a fork and knife(that’s why I’m giving this place 3 stars). My BF has enjoyed the salads and pasta dishes here, and the my favorite menu items are the various pizza options. The ambiance here is upscale casual, with a cool bar with most of the seating in the restaurant. If you’re in the neighborhood, this is definitely a place to try.

I have been to this location multiple times and I have ALWAYS enjoyed the food, the ambiance, and the service. The food: The bruschetta is phenomenal. The bread is tender, light, and addictive! I could eat the bread as a meal. Honestly, Zigolinis could package the bread and sell it alone it is amazing. This past visit, I ordered the bruschetta and an 8″ Margherita pizza with extra sauce and overcooked– as I prefer a pizza to be. It was simply perfection. The ambiance: A great location on 9th Ave with a quaint feel to it. Not too big, not to small. I do not recall any music playing in the background, but if there was it was at the perfect level. The large selection of alcohol creates a very visually stimulating experience, but my favorite place to sit is back by the pizza oven where guests can watch the pizzas being made. The service: I have always had great service at this location. Everyone is overall friendly and very courteous. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and eager to assist in anyway. I have never seen this restaurant overly crowded– which surprises me because of the incredible food and service. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Edit: THESEPEOPLEARERACISTANDFAKEANDTHREATENEDMYLIFE !! They told me to goto an asian place cause I’m asian and said if they saw me again I’d be in deep shit and wished i got assfucked by a baseball bat. I couldn’t make this up if I tried. After posting the below honest review, I get two messages cursing me out, both by fake accounts that gave this place a 5 star REVIEW. «Johnnie B.» — (account now deleted by Unilocal for violation of several policies) «Alessandra C.» — Alessandra, you are dumb bitch. burrata IS mozzerella, you moronic slut that posts pics of your ugly feet. and I have had plenty pizzas in rome and venice, tastes way better than your shithole establishment. Johnnie B. if you are my waiter, you provide shit service. if you are the owner, go blame your cook and waiter not me, the turd was holding the door open with his smoking friend and left me waiting for food for over 45 minutes in an empty shitty restaurant. obviously he failed to put my orders into the kitchen. and I pray to see you and see what you would say to my face. YOUTWOCANGOPOSTYOURFAKEREVIEWS on other made up accounts cause these two have been reported. Original Review: This place is fucking horrible. I came here at 9:30 P.M. on a Monday Night. No one was in there and I check Unilocal.4 stars, why not. And i mean zero other patrons there. A party of 4 we order and the food does not GETTOUS until 10:20. What the hell is that about? There was one server and one person baking the pizzas. I ordered one pizza, one argula dish with fresh mozzerella, and one baked chicken. The salad did not come at all for 15 minutes, until i asked for it a second time and then out comes a small 6″ plate with some arugula and literally mozzerella the size of a half dollar coin. Shit was $ 12… it tasted bland and I could have gotten that at the grocery store for $ 3 tops. Once again, NOONE was in the restaurant and the single waiter had the audacity to fucking go to the door, hold it open in the middle of February, and chat with his friend that was smoking outside. are you kidding me? THis lasted for over 5 minutes, as i was waiting to speak to him to ask where the fuck was our food. Then the pizza came. In short, it tasted like shit. CAPIZZI that is on 40th and 9th ave is SOOOO much better. I have eaten great pizza. Zigaloni is terrible. The pizza came out soggy. So soggy that as soon as i lifted the slice, it limped like a crêpe. I actually rolled it up into a crêpe and cut it with a fork. It was that bad. It was almost as if they tossed the pizza in the oven for a good 5 minutes because it was undercooked, doughy, and cold/room temperature, yet i waited over 45MINUTESFORTHISPIZZA! The baked chicken dish was terrible. It was three pieces of thin chicken breast that you can get at Food Emporium for $ 2.99 and it was baked until it was like a dry sponge. it came with a lump of arugula. $ 16. Finally, my friend who had a small 8oz bottle of coke in her bag decided to try to open it. asked for a bottle opener, and the waiter said, «sorry you cant drink that here. if you want coke you can buy one here.» She is super polite and quiet, the shy asian type. and said«oh ok, no thank you.» Finally when we were done with our food and waiting for the check, the waiter comes over(the one time that he wasnt bringing the food) and asks if we needed anything. HE then asks again, «you know if you want a coke you can have one for $ 3.» TL;DR — Go to CAPIZZI. It is 7 blocks away, it is in the port authority area, which is its only flaw. its not cheaper its the same price. but god damn it is on a whole other level of quality and service.

A modern Italian eatery with menu variety and attentive service. My husband and I chose Zigolinis because it was near our hotel and the Unilocal reviews were decent. We walked in to a nearly empty restaurant(we were early for dinner) and were offered the window seat at the front of the restaurant. The server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. As an appetizer, we ordered the garlic foccacia, which was garlicy delicious. I drank a house red wine that paired well with the meal. I ordered the house specialty: meatball pasta al forno. The meatballs were light and airy, which I enjoyed. The pasta dish had been slightly over-baked making some noodles blackened and uneatable. Zigolinis’ menu has some variety between pasta dishes, pizzas, salads, and paninis. Despite this, the highlight of our meal was the service, not the food. Zigolinis has a lot of potential, but with so many other eating establishments nearby, I will try another restaurant next time.

Came here on my first night during a business trip and ordered the following: –Mediterranean salad: It was so delicious with some kind of vinaigrette and lemon juice. I wanted to eat the whole thing, but needed to save room for the pizza! I still think about this salad though because I want to know what they used as the vinaigrette! –Primavera pizza(arugula, mozzarella, artichoke, cherry tomato, EVOO): tasted so amazingly fresh and light, but definitely filled me up. It was very good and crispy. –Sparkling sangria: This was good as well and hit the spot after several hours of traveling. The restaurant was small and the décor was nice. I thought the place was cute and the lighting was a bit dim, which I liked. It was quiet, but it was also a Tuesday night at around 9pm. My server was really friendly and she’s the one who suggested I try the sangria when I didn’t know what drink to get. I used a 20% Unilocal check-in offer which helped with the bill. It wasn’t expensive, but it wasn’t cheap either. This is a place I could definitely see myself going to as a regular if I lived close by.

I love this place. The staff is amazingly friendly and the truffle artichoke pizza with sausage is divine. I love coming here early for happy hour or late after going out. This place comes highly recommended. One of my favorite pizza places in the city.

Went late night both times to share a couple pizzas and some beer. Front windows open made it almost feel like outdoor seating. Serve was always pretty spot on, but the pizzas tended to take a little while(at least that meant it was fresh???). Who cares though @ 1am or 2am in the morning. Tried both the zigolini and the prosciutto di parma pizzas. Prices aren’t bad(pizzas are around $ 12 – 15 each… well late at night) and we used a Unilocal«check in» instant discount also which took off 20% both times. I would absolutely go back for a late night meal or even for an easy dinner.

Very energetic vibe and great bartending! Plus, it carries a rear combination of nice drinks and good food straight out of an oven! Gets a lil’ crowded on a Saturday night, but it is the more the merrier, very friendly atmosphere, so you’ll have fun! And you will get 20% off your bill if check in on Unilocal

I really enjoyed this place! Glad my bf and I randomly stopped in here for a drink, it ended up being one of the most enjoyable nights I’ve had in a while. Music level is perfect, it’s loud enough to give it just the right amount of nyc trendiness yet quiet enough to have a conversation . The pizza was pretty good, good enough that when I return(which I intend to) I would eat it again. 14 $ for a decent size pizza isn’t bad. The drinks are 11 – 14 $, and are big and strong. which is nice given most places in nyc you pay 14 $ for a trendy, tiny, weak«cocktail». The drink I had was wonderful. Sparkling mojito, it doesn’t taste strong, but don’t let that fool you, it IS strong. Our bartender was extremely cool, wish I remembered his name… They have delicious sounding sangria… only bad thing was it ‘s only served by the pitcher, meaning I couldn’t have sangria… bf doesn’t drink it, and a pitcher by myself? probably not pretty. they had a sparkling sangria(prosecco, coconut rum, peach nectar and mint… yumm!) I’ll be back for that, with a friend to split it with :)

It was a gorgeous Saturday night. We were hungry for pizza. A friend recommended Zigolinis, and from the many times I have walked by, I never thought of stopping here. And now I can’t WAIT to go back. There were 5 of us and we got seated immediately. We ordered immediately. The food. For starters, we ordered a mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto dish was that very well balanced. And light. For pizza… we all ordered different ones, and we had a chance to taste them all. They were all magnificent. Thin crusted. Fully flavored. Especially the seven cheese pizza. But the prosciutto pizza was amazing as well. I think I will have a hard time just deciding which pizza to have next time. Wash it down with a glass of Peroni… and presto! Oh and if you check in here the first time via Unilocal, you get 20% off your entire bill. SCORE!

Pretttty pret-ty good. Popped in here for some(shock!) pizza. K and I shared the Prosciutto Di Parma pie and the Regina Margherita. The regina was not bad, but the prosciutto was quite yummy. Of note, the crust at Zigolinis is really something different, some thing good. It’s kind of like toasty, heftier naan. It’s a nice addition to the neighborhood, so I’ll be back, but I wouldn’t recommend this place as travel-worthy eats.

One of the encouraging new additions to 9th ave. Being a resident, I get excited when any new establishment opens, especially if it’s not a Thai Restaurant. The pizza was good, wine selection was good, prices were fair. all around goo experience.
