Visit today at 10:15 As i wandered the aisles and saw the nice selection i was wondering why the low reviews for this store. I soon found out. When i had to ask an employee where something was he barked at me «aisle 4″. Ok people have bad days. But this continued. Checking out there was only 1 register open with 5 people in line and i noticed the barker and another employee just standing around shooting the breeze. How about opening up a line? Didn’t happen. But the worst was next. A lady who was 2 people in front of me in the checkout line was obviously older and possibly from another country. She was using her debit card and was a bit slow but doing just fine. The lady at the register chastised her in a joking way but trust me, no one in line mistook her comments to a customer as funny. This caused the customer to push the wrong button thus cancelling the transaction. Again the checker jokingly said » lets try this again. But I’m letting you know i get off at 5″. I found this to be exceptionally rude to a customer.

This store is ok in a pinch, but im with other reviewers its pricey and outdated. The last time I went there, I wanted a rotisserie chicken, so I went to their usual spot and they were out. So I proceeded back to where the fried chicken counter is, and saw a rotisserie sitting there in the case, I asked the girl working the counter if I could have that… she said«sorry no thats for an employee, and we wont be making anymore tonight»…Really. Also Ive kinda been creeped out by one of the managers that works there, he’s a very touchy in your ear kind of guy, I dont need to feel uncomfortable and like I need to hide and rush around to avoid employees… I will just take my business to shop rite from here on out. This is not to mention the horrible parking lot they have out front, where you need to carry mace or a gun to feel safe walking in.

Acme market is a bit pricey. Especially when you compare it to Shoprite. Sometimes on my way to work I will stop by here to get some snacks for the day. In the morning there is usually only one person on the registers so there can be a wait. Restrooms– In the back of the store behind the two big black doors that go into there wearhouse. Go through the doors and make a left. Parking– Huge lot. It can get tricky getting out of there because you are forced to go right. Cost: Not the best place to find a bargain.

This place is too overpriced! They are no different than Pathmark or Shop Rite, so why the hight prices. Plus, this place has limited items. They have ok slaes and notify you by email about their sales in the stores. Really, if I want high prices for food, I’d go Whole Foods

Wow, skip this store. Everything needs an Acme Discount card to give you a decent price and this store just feels dirty and old. You’re much better off at say, any other grocery store in the area.

This Acme is in the University Plaza strip mall at Chapman Rd and Route 273. Lots of parking, although I noticed that the parking lot was pretty full when I was there on a Tuesday evening. I thought product selection was decent at this supermarket. I didn’t find most of their prices to be appealing compared to Pathmark, so I was there only for the peanut butter special. The biggest problem with this supermarket is there was only one person at the customer service counter and so the line was long and I had to wait quite a while to get my Acme SuperCard.

Oh, Acme, why do I avoid you like the plague? Is it because of your overpriced groceries or the fact that you all your sales require the use of the«Acme» card(Pathmark doesn’t, by the way)? Or, that you even force me to use paper coupons?! Or that you don’t carry some of the most basic items. I don’t know but you pretty much suck.
