The sandwiches and salads are good and a very good value and they come with a free can of soda or bottle of water. Stay away from the hot food. It’s not terrible but it’s pretty disappointing. Chicken is always dry and/​or bland. Vegetables are overcooked. Stick with the sandwiches and salads.

First off, is this a local chain? There is a Café Side Dish on Mulberry Street. Notice that at this location they added an extra letter to caFFe. I grabbed a copy of their take out menu this morning. So if it is spelled wrong, it’s not me :) The web site listed is not up. Maybe it will be soon.
From a commuters perspective, which includes me, this café is on the north concourse which links tracks A-1−2 – 3−4 – 5 at Newark Penn Station. Also convenient to the local bus lanes.
I had the western omelet which was pretty good and served promptly. $ 5.95 which included home fries, toast, coffee. Plenty of seating. No background music. I did not check for wi-​fi.
Order at the counter. Staff were pleasant.
