The food is good but the employees are awful. Service here is absolutely horrible. Don’t bother calling ahead and placing orders, they aren’t going to begin making anything until you arrive anyways. They also hardly ever answer the phone and if they do it’s usually someone yelling«Hello? What?» in your ear. Everything takes at least thirty minutes to get, whether they’re busy or not, whether it’s a coffee or two sandwiches. Please, fire all of your employees and replace them with competent workers.

Update: I really do not like the new storefront/windows. It used to have big wide windows overlooking the street… bright, cheerful, and good for people watching. Now there are these small, fake-looking windows that blot out most of the light(and view). NOTCOOL. Because of this, for the most part, I’ve stopped coming here… what was the landlord thinking(I asked and it was the building owner, not the coffee shop people who made the decision). — While this is a decent coffee house, the big draw is the baked goods, many of which are baked fresh daily, on the premises, and made by the owner. In particular, I find that the white-chocolate raspberry scones, chocolate chocolate-chip muffins, and corn muffins are absolutely otherworldly. If you time it right, you can get stuff fresh out of the oven. The other big perk about this place is that they make very good middle-eastern style tea, with black-tea and spearmint. In general they have a pretty good selection of drinks and they tend to make them pretty well(but I don’t really drink coffee so I can’t judge that), and as a plus they actually serve a little bit of food too. There is a lot of variety of what you can buy here. The brands of tea served here are Mighty Leaf Teas( ), and a few teas from Two Leaves and a bud( )…which you can review on (like a Unilocal for teas) if interested! The atmosphere is nice and fairly diverse: there are a few tables overlooking the street and there are some cozy areas with sofas in the back, and a bunch of tables in between. A few computers in the back have internet and are generally available for use. In general this is a very good place for reading and studying. The people who work here are all very nice too. Bottom line though: I come here for the baked goods. This place has changed management. The new management is now Korean, and in addition to retaining nearly all the old items, they now serve sushi, made fresh daily, as well as seaweed salad and miso soup. One note… this place has free wireless, but it is often unreliable. I’ve found that at least 1⁄3rd of the time, it either is unusably slow, or doesn’t let me connect at all. On the other hand, there are usually at least 2 other wireless networks within range too – however – these other networks are also unreliable. If you want to count on the wireless working, don’t come here… in my opinion, Saxby’s is the only place in town offering consistently reliable(and free) wireless. Starbucks’ you have to pay, Panera’s kicks you off after a fixed time, and everywhere else is pretty much spotty from my experience.

A great place to relax and study as the atmosphere is very cozy. They have couches with lamps as well as plenty of tables to sit at. The coffee is just okay. I’ve only ordered food here once, but like the coffee it was just okay. The staff isn’t the friendliest. If I come here, I only come for the atmosphere.
