Love love love the wings! We enjoy it every time we go. We have never been disappointed by our meal. The décor and feel is a lot nicer than you would expect from the location. It’s a great dining experience all around.

I’m so glad that my brother moved to Delaware to give me an excuse to come back to this place. Maybe it was because I started off my meal with the Double Black Diamond martini, but this was a great night with really tasty food that didn’t disappoint. I went with my mom, little one, and my brother for a dinner coming out to visit him in his new place and this was a great choice. Back to the martinis – I had two and could’ve had like 2 more. They were so tasty and simple! Just citron vodka infused with sweet pineapple! I love a clean drink that hits the spot. The food– right up my alley. We ordered the crab cakes and lobster spinach dip for apps and everything was really good! My mom and I ordered the same exact meals(didn’t know until they were brought out LOL) baby back ribs, sauteed spinach, and fully loaded baked potato. The ribs were falling off the bone and the sauce was perfect. My brother ordered the blue cheese filet mignon which he said was really good. We sat in the bar area so we were able to watch the slam dunking contest during All-Star weekend which added a bit of fun. Service – yeah, our server was sweet and knowledgeable. I enjoyed the ambiance with a beautifully lit bar, TV’s, and fireplace. It added to the good feel of the night. Will return!

I normally don’t have high expectations of a restaurant located in a strip mall but I was completely blown away by Firebirds. I truly couldn’t get over how delicious the food was that I ordered! From the very moment you walk in you will be greeted by beautiful décor. I was instantly in love with the décor and wished they had a Firebirds in Chicago. Firebirds gives off a date night or anniversary dinner vibe. The place is dimly lit but the music doesn’t really fit the vibe. The music was very uptempo and reminded me of the clubs and lounges that I’ve to over the years. All of the employees that I encountered here were extremely positive and helpful. Our waitress was extremely outgoing and gave us her opinion on the foods when we had a question on it. I love eating at a place that the employees seem like they enjoy working at the restaurant or would actually eat the food. I was extremely pleased with the salmon, spicy mac-n-cheese and sauteed spinach that I ordered. I knew the food would be good but I didn’t think it would be so good that I would’ve considered eating at this restaurant for every night I was in Delaware for work. Initially the mac-n-cheese felt a little too spicy to the point that I was gulping down my water but once I got used to the spice level I couldn’t help myself. The salmon was cooked perfectly! It wasn’t too fishy tasting and it was extremely moist. I was surprised by the amount of sauteed spinach they gave me because normally I finish the spinach well before everything else but I had so much that I only got through 50% of it. When you come here you definitely have to order dessert! My coworker ordered the popular crème brûlée cheesecake and raved about it until we landed in Chicago. I ordered the mousse and it was delicious but I regretted not ordering the cheesecake. The food prices range by a lot but you can still get a delicious meal for a little under $ 20 but the specialty and well known dishes will require you to shell out a few more dollars. If I lived in Delaware I would most definitely visit this restaurant again. This is a must visit place even if you go only once. I am in love with this place and will recommend it to anyone that I know who is passing through the neighborhood!

This restaurant is fabulous! The drinks are delicious and make you feel sexy, and the ambiance is beautiful! And the service! We were seated at the bar, and our waitress was always there to check on us… but not in the annoying way. I ordered the peppered steak, and it was incredible. My fiancé ordered the strip, and it didn’t come out the way he wanted it. Our waitress immediately took it back and a manager came to check on us, and even brought out a perfect new steak, himself! We will definitely be returning!

Their signature drink, the Double Black Diamond, is fantastic. I always have a steak when we go; my preference is the black pepper. My wife has had various non-steak entrees(in a steakhouse?!) and has been quite pleased every time. I see a few reviewers have ordered medium steaks only to have the steaks come out pink inside. This is something else I like about Firebirds: their staff will push you towards having your meat cooked properly(i.e., RARE). Just another feather in their customer service cap.

Good food, okay menu options & service, great atmosphere and location. Came on a windy & cold winter day and it was nice to stand by the warm fireplace while waiting for our table. Ordered a citrus grilled chicken breast with pineapple salsa. It was better than I expected. This was a work lunch so we didn’t get drinks, but the bar is well stocked and the craft beer selection looked relatively decent with a mix of regional and local breweries on tap. Our server handed out individual mailing list sign up flyers when he brought the check, which seemed sort of annoying and wasteful since we all just left them blank.

I really need to get over my hate of restuarants in strip malls, automatically I feel like they will be terrible… with that said, Firebirds exceeded expectations! I drove from Philly to meet up with a friend just for lunch and wanted to try something different, reviews on line seemed good and location was easy to find. We didn’t think to make reservations for a midweek lunch, so we walked in and were shocked how many people did in fact make reservations! Thankfully there were a few high top tables by the bar that were open. Let me say the AMBIANCE of this place is EVERYTHING! I love the oversized bar wall filled with bottles up to the cieling, all colorful and large. There is a giant fireplace seperating the bar area and table area which was perfect for this particularly wintery day. We started off with drinks, I got the premium margarita made with real lime juice which I LOVED! It was made to perfection, not too strong and no gross sour mix. My friend got a Cosmo which she said was excellent and came with the fanciest garnish too. We had a lovely waitress who had lots of patience with us talking and NOT deciding on what to eat; I landed on the Firebird burger(fried onions, cheddar, bacon). I really loved the burger, it was cooked really well, not dried out at all — I like well done meat. The sauce that came with it was so good I didn’t even bother with the ketchup. I also liked that there were options to a side, not just fries, I decided on tater tots which were crispy and delicious. My friend picked the fish Mahi tacos which came out looking perfect! I am very picky about ordering tacos in non-Mexican restuarants, but these looked the part, she absolutely loved them. Both meals were very filling, I couldn’t even finish my second half of the burger and my friend only ate 2 of the 3 tacos. Why did we not finish? To save room for drinks and desert of course! I was talked into splitting a Crème Brulee Cheesecake — a mixture of two deserts I normally don’t love. But this particularly one really worked! It was magnificient! I loved the crunchy layer of burnt caramel leading to a smoother cheesecake bite. It had a berry drizzle to add some tartness, and after all was said and done, I could’ve taken a slice home! We stayed to girl talk for a few more minutes and I loved that even though there was a clear lunch rush, our server did not rush us or get annoyed. This is definitely a place I would return to and recommend for not just lunch but even a date. If I was any closer I would definitely return for happy hour, as the menu prices are discounted too.

We come every now and then. We booked here for New Years Eve for an early dinner. We were provided a private room which made the atmosphere all the better. We had a great time with a great server who fully explained everything about the food preperation and the wine being consumed. We really appreciated their attention and care.

Sometimes service recoveries make a stronger impression. Thank you John, the manager, for providing that by a superb service in being genuinely apologetic for an overcooked steak and long wait for entrée. Rob, our server, was also very attentive and genuine. Because of them both we would be back for another try.

Well The restaurant has potential. The staff — hostess and waiter were great. The appetizers came quickly and they were excellent. Then we waited for more than 45 minutes for our main course. Four of us — two French dip sandwiches, one smoked burger and one meat loaf meal. The Salt content was excessive — on the fries, the dip and the meatloaf. I’d go back and stick with the appetizers.

I loved my experience at Firebird’s. We sat out on the outdoor patio. In December. They have it heated out there, so it’s nice and toasty while you eat. We got the happy hour specials. Get the nachos with the dip. They’re amazing. Very cool atmosphere, paired with delicious food, and great service. I’m adding this place to my restaurant rotation!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Do not done here unless you want to get sick. My wife and I came here to celebrate moving in to our new home, expecting a decent dinner. Boy were we surprised. My wife ordered a burger, cooked medium. It came out completely rare. Colder than rare, even raw I’d say. Purple ground beef. They took it back and the manager had to ask whether she would like a new burger or not. Unacceptable. Who wants to eat a burger that’s been cooked, cut in half, then recooked? Not us. I ordered the star of the menu, the prime rib, cooked medium. It came out already cold. I was going to eat it but she mentioned the temperature when we asked that her burger be fixed and they said they would bring a new cut that was warm atleast. The second round: her burger was cooked completely well done(she ordered medium), and I was given the same cut of meat I had picked at, still cold, except now it was slightly wet on top and had an odd texture to it as if it had been microwaved. The manager returned to check on us and got rude and defensive when my wife said the prime rib appeared to be microwaved. Third round: a new piece of prime rib, still cold as if it had sat out for hours. Long story short, this place will make you sick. They comped our meal, but who really cares because they ruined our celebration. Servers were rude, the manager seemed less than capable of performing her job, and the food was disgusting. This restaurant is an embarrassment.

I was a very disappointed with the service here. I really wanted to like this place because the first time I came here I had no real complaints only that my food was a little cold. This time everything was wrong from the begin, starting with the waitress rushing us to order then when ordering I specifically asked for a well done salmon and what comes to the table? Medium rare salmon. The manager comes over to ask do I want the same piece of salmon thrown back on the grill, uh no thanks. I probably will not be returning to this location.

Definitely worth a return visit. Always seems to be a wait, but we were seated quickly. We ordered a wide variety — steak, chicken, fish. All were very good, but red meat was the star. The sides were enjoyable as were the deserts. Drinks were better than average. It can be pricey if you’re drinking but overall prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size.

This first paragraph is for my prudish stalker who doesn’t understand the Internet is not her’s nor is it anyone’s job not to offend her. The waitresses are stunning. They are all young college age hotties in tight black pants or skirts. They also have(which my wife remarked on) these little silver metal belts slung low around their hips. On the skinny one’s it adds some depth and shape to their hips. On the one’s with that new booty thang(that it seems even white girls have now) wow. This alone is a reason to come here. The owners of this place must have thought this out and realized, that in 2015, an age of same-sex marriage and tolerance– sex sells! So there lady! Now on to the review. This is a nice, okay, really nice chain restaurant. There was nothing about it that I wouldn’t recommend. The food is a little better than average– not great– but solid. The presentation is earnest, it was hot and fresh. I had ribs, the spouse had a grilled salmon. It was busy, in that way that good places that do a lot of business are on a Friday night. They take reservations, that sort of lets you know that there is enough business to feel like they can turn away a walk-up. It’s a little scary to have the hostess tell you 45 minute wait for a table… we solved that by taking a seat in the bar area. You can get full service there. If you do that on a busy night, accept ahead of time that your server has been pulled from her regular tables-so the attention was a little sparse. She was good, it wasn’t obvious– we were wrapped up in our own fun anyway. This is a good solid location. If you are in the area and want a nice place in a strip mall… go for it.
