As far as diner food goes the food was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The place was clean and bright along with being recently renovated. Great place to stop along 95.

Placed an order for takeout yesterday. The lady who took my order over the phone was nice enough, and I was quoted 10 mins for the cheeseburger. I was literally down the street so I got there in about 5, the manager who I’m assuming I spoke with over the phone was at the register and cashed me out. I was informed it would be a few minutes which I knew so there was no problem. However when my order was ready the manager handed me a lopsided bag with the burger in the bag sideways and then the side of mandarin oranges(that come in a little bowl and should be placed with the burger) were put in the bag first and weren’t in the takeout container therefore they spilled all over once I got in my car. To add insult to injury even though the burger was fresh and I got it as soon as it was done, the bun was rock solid and cold. Next time I’ll stop at McDonald’s.

I was not to happy with this place. We went in a group for a birthday party sand everyone received their food, but me. That sucks when you have to play catch-up the rest of the night. Food was average, ice cream was great, but service for me was lacking. Now the management did comp my meal, so that was an upside.

Visited this location on Saturday night at 11:15 pm for a late-night breakfast. The server came to our table as soon as we were seated. So far so good, right? Not so fast… Server asked what we wanted to drink, and we ordered two coffees. Oops! No can do because«they’re cleaning the coffee machine». I said, «I thought you were open until midnight, so why not clean the coffee maker at midnight?» He replies, «We wanted to get done early.» What this tells me is this restaurant lacks competent management, but I suspect the late-night manager is likely a 20-something kid who also wants to be out the door minutes after closing time. Bottom line — breakfast without coffee? We left and went to Waffle House.

Awesome diner! Our waiter(Andrew) was very nice and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable, and food is good. We ordered a lunch special; a turkey brioche burger with avocado and a side of gravy mashed potatoes, it was delicious. 5 stars!

Went last night with a group of friends. Haven’t visited a Friendly’s in 21 years because I’ve lived in parts of the country without, but looked forward to what was one of my favorite places as a child. Overall the experience was not as good as it should have been, but it wasn’t awful. Out of 5 of us, two of us received incorrect orders. One specifically requested no mayo on her sandwich, and it was covered in it. I ordered the *munchie mania* with sliders, loaded waffle fries and buffalo tenders. I received 2 of three correct, but instead of buffalo tenders I got mini mozzarella sticks. I also did NOT receive the ranch I asked for for the tenders I didn’t get – and the sliders were missing pickles, dipping sauce, tomato and lettuce… and the fries were missing their dipping sauce as well. The server informed the three(who’s orders he’d gotten correctly) that ice cream came with their meal. He then disappeared for about 20 minutes before returning to take said ice cream order and bring us checks. Upon receiving check, one party member discovered she had been charged for the ice cream she was told was free. She would NOT have ordered the ice cream if she hadn’t been told it came with the meal. The cashier at the front fixed this issue – but it really was just a comedy of small errors the entire time we were there. We travel to this part of DE frequently for work, and will give it another shot – it just seemed like it was half-assed on both the part of the server AND the cook. PS I still tipped over 20%, because on my receipt the server had put my order in correctly, it simply was either put together incorrectly OR he grabbed someone else’s munchie mania tray. A little bit of extra attention to detail on behalf of the staff could easily raise my 3 stars.

It’s a Friendly’s, not 5-star dining but you’ll get a good meal, reasonably priced with good service. Hadn’t been to a Friendly’s in years but was staying at a hotel nearby. The fried clams are awesome, just like I remember them. Trying not to good too fried, I got a side salad instead of fries. Some of the lettuce was a little wilted but I don’t think tons of people come here for salad. Service was great and they even gave me a drink to go. I’ll be back if ever in town again.

I had nice breakfast with some brothers on a Saturday morning. I ordered the Southern Breakfast, which is a new type of breakfast outside original menu. It had many things included, like two eggs, two sausages a few baked potatoes and so on. The environment was pretty good for group chatting. Also, we had some ice creams after breakfast. And everything here was under reasonable prices.

Was a regular till today. Got seated and then ignored, lots of staff walking around but no one said a word. I guess that explains all the empty tables. I won’t be back any time soon!

Hittin’ Friendly’s is like hitting any diner place. You know its going to be greasy and makes you wish you never walked in the door, but it turns out to be satisfying. The redeeming factor for Friendly’s is the ice cream menu… shakes, sundaes, splits, etc…
