If there was an opportunity to provide zero stars, I would. I have been calling handyman services for two weeks. This was the first business that actually answered the phone. I was ecstatic and close to tears when they answered. My closet shelving unit fell down and I’m living in chaos. I simply want to hang up my clothes.(A tad melodramatic, but you get the point.) The lady that took my appointment for an ESTIMATE last week was extremely professional and friendly as she listened to me. I just need to repair a closet, I explained. I saw your review on Unilocal and it was awesome. I received an appointment for an ESTIMATE the following week. As a matter of fact, the appointment was for today at 10 am. I take off from work and at 10:30 no one has shown up. I call the number and ask if the repairman(Keith — I even jotted down his name) was running late. The lady was nice and put me on hold. She came back and said their trucks were down and they could come out mid July when the trucks were repaired. I remembering instant messaging my colleague with this story and explaining I can’t believe this. But I’m like maybe they are a small business with one truck and it’s down. But why didn’t they call me YESTERDAY to cancel my appointment. My time is valuable. But, at this point I decide not to leave a review. According to the business profile, it’s owned by a veteran. My dad, step-dad and brother are each 20 year veterans. So, I’m like occasionally things fall through the cracks. But, then I’m checking my email and receive this sorry excuse which contradicts what the other lady told me and all I can think is I HATE a liar. At 3 pm, I get an email that my appointment needs to be rescheduled for August because they have too much storm related work. First, the other lady told me mid-July. Second she said the trucks broke down. Business ethics = major fail. How do you send an email HOURS after my appointment? Customer service = major fail.
