First off, very good customer service. Place was clean and management seem to be on point! For $ 6.69 I got the 8″ Bootlegger Club. Sandwich hit the spot if you are looking for a more fresh option then Subway. Keep it up!

The ONLY reason I ever stepped foot in this place was because they were giving away $ 1 sandwiches for their customer appreciation day. Ironically, I was not a customer up until this point, but I took full advantage of their offer. If you hadn’t known about customer appreciation day, you might have confused the line around the corner with that of the daily soup kitchen at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church. Jimmy John’s was everything I expected: nothing worth waiting for. Even for $ 1. I’m not sure I would go back here even if they charged $ 1 every day. I left wondering which establishment was worse: this or Subway.

I Love Jimmy Johns. I know, short and sweet. To continue, this is a nice place. Sandwiches are very American. Freaky fast. Clean. My favorite is the beach club. Eat up.

Delivery really is «Exceptional Delivery» as Jimmy John’s states. The Newark location on Halsey got my order to me in no time. Plus, placing the order was easy and they were way friendly over the phone. I highly recommend this location for delivery orders and will most likely order from them again.

No matter what city or state you go to, you could always count on Jimmy Johns to provide a quick and tasty sandwich. They are one of the few chains you could actually count on standardization. I have ordered the same sandwich, the country club, in 5 states and I have yet to be disappointed. It’s great to know what you’re going to get and there is no surprise!

I’m really surprised by the reviews here. Its a simple sandwich place with simple bread(that is pretty yummy in my opinion) and great customer service. I have been there maybe 4 or 5 times and each time the staff has been awesome. I walk in and I am always greeted warmly, my sandwich is made super quick and I’m out the door(sometimes I’ll eat in). Its a great little lunch spot(or place to go when you are craving a sandwich).

Love the unwhiches here(lettuce wrap) as well as the multigrain bread. I always customize my order(they have a list of freebies) so I get exactly what I like. They are also really fast so when I need something quick they are my go-to.

Very small sandwich! 8 inches for the same price as a Subway footling. I tried them to see if they were any good and it is quite bland. It looks nice, but that’s about all it has going for it.

One star because it was clean. One more star because we didn’t get sick. Other than that there’s not much to comment on. Unless you wanna mention two sandwiches off the $ 5.25 menu cost $ 13.38. Yup, THAT’S two small sandwiches ONLY. Without drinks. Without a bag– because we had to carry the sandwiches down the street in our hands looking like complete idiots. Next time, I’d rather hop in the car and drive to Quick Chek or better yet, Blimpie. The time and money spent on the commute will feel like a bargain compared to the mini-me-mini-monstrosities!

I stopped in this place while driving downtown. I have seen some ads about this place and I’m upset I stopped in. When I entered I wasn’t greeted at all and the staff seemed ready to go home. I ordered the Lulu and a turkey sandwich. The sandwich was made quickly however I wasn’t told that it was prepared until minutes later. The 2 sandwiches where left at the end of the counter without being placed in a bag. I asked for a bag and the employee pointed to the bags behind the counter smh. Besides the subpar customer service the sandwiches are below Bodega deli Heros. JJ should not advertise their sandwiches as being gourmet it’s very very misleading. Needless to say I won’t be back.

JIMMYJOHN’S SUPEROVERRATED !!! Is QUIZNO’S STILLAROUND? ANDWHYARETHEYTRYINGTOPUNKME!!! After being lured in by the overbearing advertisements I finally decided to stop in and see what the fuss was about! Sooooooo pissed off that I didn’t go to my usual Deli spot! WHAT A WASTEOFMONEY… The bread was supposed to be the«best part» of the sandwich. NOT!!!(SHOULDHAVEKNOWN by those reviews!) SMH Nothing was fresh or tasty about this place! Now I need to have an ACTUALDELISUB to get the taste of this bland nonsense! Papi at the bodega hooks it up better than this!!! and he doesn’t pop unnecessary bullshit. SMH! PS: $ 1.50FOR A FUCCKKKINNPICKLE!!! WHAT A WASTE!!!

Pretty good sandwiches. Better than Subway. The bread is fresh. But when someone asks me «Would you like a pickle with your sandwhich», I am thinking free or something like 50 cents. NOT $ 1.50 for a huge pickle. Service also needs improvement, ie.) put my to go order in a bag and not rudely tell me to pack it myself. Food is 3 stars…1 star off for sneaky sales tactic and poor management.

It’s a glorified Subway… want a real sandwich? Go to Hobby’s or order from Hero King

It was okay… I’ve been to other sandwich places that make theirs twice as better. It’s decent for Newark — because there’s nothing good around the area(besides better bites) to eat. I had #4 — Turkey sandwich and it wasn’t had bad. I’ll update the review once I try other sandwiches and snacks.

Anyone who works in this part of Newark knows there’s pretty much nowhere actually good to eat. There’s a handful of acceptable establishments, but nothing I would consider tasty. It was nice to see someplace new to try. I ordered the #6 Veggie on regular French bread. Its provolone cheese with avacado, cucumber and mayonnaise. Certainly not the ingredients I would choose for a cheese sub, but I wasn’t opposed to trying it. The best word I could use to describe the taste is «generic». The bread wasn’t horrible but really had almost no taste. It was as if I was eating a mayonnaise sandwich. I couldn’t really taste the other ingredients. Its was a sandwich you sorta«get through» as opposed to enjoying each bite. They only have fountain soda; I would have preferred to get a 20 oz bottle since I was taking out. Seating looks acceptable if you want to stay. Since #6 is the only vegetarian option, I won’t be going back. I’ll be across the street at Queen Pizza who has pretty good bread and their cheese sub is far superior.
