Pronto Cafe

I am rating Prontos based on their «OATMEAL». I’ve tried Famous and Annabella’s and nothing compares to this oatmeal. It’s nice and creamy and has great flavor to it and the best part it tastes homemade. A small costs $ 1.95 and a large costs $ 2.95. Definitely a must try. Don’t even have to add anything on top of it.

Pretty mediocre. The food is okay, but it’s far from great or even good. The restaurant’s ambiance is what you get when you try to do something as cheaply as possible – it makes a McDonald’s look lavish by comparison.
This place is fine if you’re a student looking for cheap eats or a nearby office worker looking for something fast, but no one would go out of their way for the food or atmosphere here otherwise.

The specials are pretty good, and I love me some Garlic Knots! There’s always a wait, but they deliver relatively quickly… however when you order by phone, they usually get something wrong or leave something out, so I prefer to walk over, weather permitting. The salad bar is pretty good too. And the wings are also good, though not hot.

When I first moved to the University Heights area in Newark, I had no clue where to go to get some tasty food! When I asked people in the area for suggestions, the one place that constantly came up was Pronto Café. This recommendation was a home run!
What i love most about Pronto is their cheap «create your own salads». One can choose between lettuce or spinach and up to four veggie ingredients, meat is extra. And you cant beat their delicious garlic knots for $ 1.50. If you are looking for something on the savorier side, try the beef gyro. The beef gyro is tender, juicy and filling!
Pronto provides a great fast-​casual atmosphere with tasty food and fair prices. It’s an excellent place to grab a quick bite to eat with friends and or to-​go.

I love the specials but you have to get there early. They run out quickly. The turkey bacon is a bit weird.

Don’t be fooled by their 99cent pizza specials on Mon & Weds. It was the greasiest pizza ever. I usually soak up the oil with napkins. I had to use about 10 napkins and there was still grease left. Gross. I feel the pimples forming in my face. Never getting pizza from here again.

Ok so this place is a toss up for me!!! There food is pretty good no complaints but they can’t get there orders right. Every time we order from this place know matter how many time we repeat the order someone always seems to mess it up. Either they bring the food one order at a time or they always forget something or add there own shit to your food WTF! This is bad for business and a inconvenience for an office full of hungry women. Prontos café please get your orders together!!!
