Food was below par. I paid for 30 dollars worth of food and they left out some of my order.

Open on Christmas, so that’s a huge plus. Excellent staff, and good prices. Large menu and many options. Now, having eaten the food I would not recommend the egg drop soup. Probably a 2 out of 5. I won’t be saving the left overs. Chicken fried rice, great. Egg roll, not too bad. The crab meat Rangoon, I’ll pass next time, odd texture, and just not appetizing. Probably will be choosing a different Chinese place from now on.

Really great food and really fast. I had the Kung Po chicken and the portions were huge! It came with fried rice and crispy wonton strips. I thought the chicken looked a little weird, kind of rubbery, but it tasted great. I ordered takeout and it was ready in no less than five minutes. The restaurant itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly.

So last night I had a craving for Chinese food. Today I got home and searched for an old go to, well they were no longer at that location, thank God. I was«forced» to try Lucky Bamboo. It was the best Chinese food I’ve had! I tried a combination hot pepper(chicken/shrimp) it was very tasty. Egg rolls were great. Kids loved the Lo Mein noodles and my wife raved about the General Tso’s chicken. I’ve heard stories of Lucky Bamboo but never been. Now it’s my default Chinese restaurant. And the food was ready very quickly.

Pretty decent Chinese food. The General Tso’s chicken had a great flavor but the chicken itself was really chewy. The egg rolls have cinnamon in them, which was unexpected and not super appealing. The veggie lo mein was good, lots of veggies!

I haven’t been here in years, and it is so much cleaner than before. They’ve remodeled and enlarged the restaurant, so it’s much nicer. The food was better than expected, and the service was good. I had the red Thai curry, it was good(not great) and was very reasonably priced. Over all it was a nice meal, and I will be back.

I had heard good things about this place, so I decided to try it. The service was very friendly. I really enjoyed all of the interactions with they employees. The price for the lunch special was very reasonable. It took several minutes, but the food came out fresh. But here’s the thing, the meat was terrible quality. The flavors were okay, but the chicken was basically not edible. It was… Chewy?

Really enjoyed their food. We had the Kung pao double delight, fried potstickers, eggroll and fried rice. The kung pao double delight was delicious with the perfect amount of heat and lots of flavor. The rice was just okay and the only thing we really didn’t like was the sweet and sour sauce that came with the eggrolls. There was a strong cinnamon flavor and my husband said it reminded him of applesauce. All in all we really enjoyed dining here and will definitely be back.

Wife and I ate lunch here one day this week, and was very pleasantly surprised in what we found. The meal started out with hot sour soup for me and wonton soup for the wife. She said hers was very good, and mine was far above average. In fact mine was as good as it gets. Next up crab ragoon’s. They were prepared different then most we’d had and were ok. Not great, but ok. Next, egg rolls. Now, the egg rolls were above average. Very tasty. Watch out for the Chinese mustard though. Wow was it spicy hot! Next I had the Schezwan beef and the wife a scrimp crêpe dish. The beef was above average, and the shrimp dish ok. So, how did we rate our first time experience at the Lucky Bamboo? The food overall is above average, the staff very friendly and accommodating, the facility clean and the prices well below normal. If you want very good Chinese food at bargain prices you need to try this place. I think the food is as good as the finer Chinese dineries in Columbus, with much lower prices. Will we be going back? Darn right we will! Just as soon as we get a craving for Chinese food!

Very amazing Chinese. Ordered the green curry shrimp and the appetizer platter and sizzling rice soup. This is really good food and the prices are great. Everything is really fresh and yummy. Go there tonight. You won’t regret it.

Once again my fellow Unilocalers done me good. Went for dinner. It was good Chinese. I love to eat Chinese when traveling for business since my wife doesn’t like it much so we go elsewhere at home. Because it was my first time I ordered both an Egg Roll and the Crab Rangoon to go with my Mongolian Beef. I liked it all. The Crab Rangoon was a little different than most places in it’s composition but it was good. The Egg Roll was good even though it was all vegetable and not even the little bits of chicken/pork usually in there to add at least a little protein. But I still liked the Egg Roll… better than the Crab Rangoon even. The Mongolian Beef was very good and a good sized portion. I will go again and will try more things like the Kung Po and Hunan dishes. It is good to very good if not great Chinese and probably is the best Chinese in the Newark area. Tab was $ 20 with tax & tip for the Crab Rangoon(4), Egg Roll & Mongolian Beef w/Fried Rice.

Very good Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is very pleasant and service is extremely fast – it was busy when we were there and they didn’t miss a beat. The food is much better than most«fast-food-chinese» type restaurants, but not quite as good as an Asian Bistro. Makes sense, right? Having said that, it pleasantly exceeded my expectations. Had the sweet and sour chicken, they brought enough to feed 4 people, it was hot, fresh, the veggies were crisp and the chicken was white under the breading and the fried rice was done right. And I had PLENTY of leftover to bring home with me. Husband got a veggie egg roll, egg drop soup and Seafood Delight — and he was delighted! Enjoyed the flavors and almost finished everything. Their menu is extensive, including Thai and they have a separate lunch menu. Parking lot is ample and it was easy to find them. We will enjoy frequenting Lucky Bamboo now that we live closer to the area.

We like to come here when Apple Tree Auction house has one of their 3 day auction events. The dining area is cool and clean and the service is very fast. Noticed most of the booth seats have been reupholstered, and are comfy. The food is very cheap at lunch, we haven’t seen or been for dinner. Hot and Sour soup is VERY spicy, Egg Drop Soup is some of the freshest I’ve ever had. Rice has always been moist and cooked correctly. Nothing fancy, but the Newark-Heath area doesn’t have a lot to choose from. The bathroom could use a little cleaning, but not bad.

Best Chinese in Newark Ohio! We order carryout almost once a week because the food is great, prices are more than reasonable, and you’ll have more than enough for lunch the next day! I can speak highly of what I’ve had here, which includes Mongolian beef, Thai red curry, Chen’s Stirfry(carrots and zucchini… order it spicy!), and orange beef. Also, they have always been patient w/me ad I customize my dishes to make something spicier, to add peanuts, etc.

The food is a level above chain Chinese. Dinner is kind of expensive. Service is hit or miss, sometimes the servers are rude. I love the green chicken curry with string beans as its an actual curry and not cheap tasting at all. They do have many selections on the menu. They have very thick breading on the breaded dishes, not light enough for my liking. My husband and I get the lettuce wraps, imho, the best dish on the menu. Worst thing I have had was a fish curry. It was so overwhelmingly fishy I could not eat it. If it weren’t for the super fishy taste and more fair pricing, this rating would be 5 stars.

Good, tasty, basic Chinese food that’s served incredibly fast. I don’t know how many hundreds of people work in their kitchen, but I’ve never waited longer than ten minutes for my food. Amazing. Also a great place for take out if you want food fast. Atmosphere is that of an old Denny’s, because I think it was a Denny’s or some other chain at one time.
