Microsoft Store

This is also another great store in the Christiana mall! They have their line of Xboxes to one side, then in the middle they have their 3D printer and their computers, then on the other side they have their phones and their tablets. It’s really an amazing layout! If you ever get the chance, go visit it! Trust me it’s worth it. And the overall look of the store, and where they placed the store is incredible! It’s not as good as the Apple Store, but I was personally impressed when I saw this store. So congrats Microsoft, you get a 5 star review!

My first Microsoft store, similar in layout and design compared to the Apple Store elsewhere in the mall. Display models of Windows phones, tablets, fablets, laptops and gaming consoles set up so that you can see how it works and how it feels for you. As well, there are Microsoft employees available to help with your issues.

I ended up buying my first Mac instead of another PC, but the sales guy we talked to here was knowledgeable and helpful, and I’d definitely go back if I was looking at PCs again.

I have been excited about the new Microsoft Surface RT for months. Since Christmas shopping I have been randomly popping into the store to check out the Surface and the new Windows 8 phone and each time I was able to speak with the very helpful staff who answered any of my questions and let me play with the devices.
So last Wednesday when I finally went into buy a Surface RT, the associate who helped me, Ossain, was nothing but helpful and even sat with me to set my Surface up and answered every question that I had. I was over the moon.
Well a few days went by and I found out once I was one on one with the Surface it wasn’t to be. I decided that I wanted to return the product while I was in the 14 return period. I dreaded having to go back and return the costly product and the accessories that I had bundled with it. I was afraid that I was going to be hassled and pressured by the staff because I was bringing it back.
Well to my surprise when I came back to the store to return it tonight, the staff was nothing but amazingly helpful and upbeat. Even Ossain was there and remembered me from last Wednesday and was sorry it didn’t work out. There was no pressure to keep it or implied tone that maybe I was doing something wrong with the product. 100% money back return. I just said that it wasn’t for me and they made returning everything easy. Stress free easy.
So if you are going to buy a Windows 8 product and you’re comfortable with the operating system, I highly recommend going to this location.

So this is my first experience with a Microsoft store. What you have here is store that’s similar in most ways to a Apple store. However in this case, it’s smaller and more cozy than the Apple store in this mall.
I wanted to check out a Surface Pro computer and was able to sit down in front of one almost immediately. After a few minutes of fiddling around with it I moved on over to the Nokia Windows 8 phones and checked one of them out.
All in all the store is nice. It’s laid out very well and you can see and touch items really get a sense of how they work. My only complaint would be in the time I spent here not one employee came to me and offered assistance. I spent about 15 minutes in the store and thought that was pretty odd. Not a complaint, just an observation.

The Microsoft Store is located inside the mall, in the wing where the Apple Store used to be. I guess I’ll start by stating the obvious. It is modeled after an Apple Store. However, aside from Microsoft software and some accessories, what they sell is laptops and tablets from other manufacturers like Samsung. This store is a good place to visit if you want to try Windows 8, for example. There is no selling pressure that I could tell and employees are there to answer questions. There is also a Kinect demo outside the store that you can play with.
