I would have only given this store 1 star if it had not been for Ron in their tech dept. He deserves 5 stars. The rest of the employees deserve 1. I purchased a computer and McAfee protection. I asked if they could install the protection. The salesman told me it was easy to do and I should just do it from home. I followed the instructions but was unable to install it. I took it in the next day and someone who knows very little about computers tried installing it. Not only was he unsuccessful, but while he was trying a virus entered my computer. He didn’t realize this. He just told me the protection was all set up but their internet server was unable to download it & I could finish from home. I went home and was unable to do anything on the computer. I called the store and Ron was now working. He realized there was a virus. I took the computer in demanding my money back — which they would have given me — but Ron asked that I give him some time to fix it. Ron was wonderful. He got rid of the virus, got the McAfee installed, made Comcast my default page as I had requested and now I have a working computer.

I really like this store/website. Main problem with the store is that it seems like everything is just kinda thrown wherever. Most of the televisions aren’t on. Selection is good. People are nice. Store just needs to be cleaned up a bit. Also wish they sold apple products but that’s not the stores fault. Overall pretty good store.

After going to Geek Squad, I was very disappointed. I was told my hard drive went and it wasn’t worth fixing my 1 ½ year old laptop and that I should purchase a new one. I am so glad I decided to research my options and go to Tiger Direct. I was out of sorts and a little abrupt expecting to be taken advantage, but after 5 minutes if talking to my sales rep, I was at total and complete ease. I explained my situation and he asked if I had my computer with me. I brought it in and was able to get a new hard drive, a year antivirus protection and labor for under $ 200 and a $ 50 rebate. This guy could have sold me a refurbished computer for $ 400 which I was prepared to do but they were very honest and helpful and did not under estimate my intelligence by being a female. I will be recommending their service to everyone I know. Tiger Direct will now be my first go to for any and all electronics.

Every employee in the store appeared to be clustered in just inside the front door, so coming into the store was a little like when a football team comes out of the tunnel onto the field at the start of a big game, only with no pompoms. We were in the market for both a desktop and a laptop, but the selection was lame and the prices were meh, so we ended up buying the laptop elsewhere and ordering the desktop online from a different supplier.

I’m a TigerDirect/CompUSA fan without a doubt… whether online or in the store. The Newark store is a little farther away from my house than the Dover store. but everything I said in my review about the Dover store applies to this location too. I like the fact that you can get TVs, desktops, monitors, laptops, printers, ink, peripherals, computer parts, cameras, cell phone accessories, music players, small kitchen appliances, etc, etc at reasonable prices with easy access to reviews(computer terminals in the aisles that link you to ) and if you want a human, associates are only a beckon away without hovering over you while you lament on which thing to buy.

I love this store. The staff is knowledgeable. The prices are good and the selection is vast. We make the trek up from the DC area(and it’s not just for the tax-free shopping), the store is just that worth it.

It’s nice to walk into the new and improved CompUSA(now owned by ) and actually speak to someone who knows what they’re talking about. Prices are average however you’re going to find things here that you’re not going to find at a big box store like Best Buy. This is a computer store so you’re going to find computer parts and accessories. That’s it. Check them out. I think you’ll be impressed with the new ownership.

This store opened mid-February and at the time I visited, it was so new that you could still smell the varnish. Customer service right now is great. There aren’t very many people who know about this store yet, so there aren’t very many customers. The result is you have about two dozen people who aren’t busy with anything and are ready to help find whatever you need. Indeed, even though I was just there to take a glance at prices, I was asked by at least 3 people if I needed assistance. The greeter was pretty nice too. I thought they only have those at Wal-mart. Whether service will remain good later on when the store actually does become busy remains to be seen. Parking: well, they have their own lot at the end of Geoffrey Drive and right now, you can park within a few parking spaces of the store so I don’t see it as a problem yet. Prices: I did a check of a number of things for which I knew prices at other electronics/computer stores and CompUSA is about average. If you live near this CompUSA, it may be worth shopping here instead of going to Micro Center. On the other hand, the prices at this store don’t make it worth driving too far out of your way, unless your only other choice is Best Buy. For now though, it’s brand new and shiny. I’d go just to see it before it becomes worn and drab.
