Mediocre. The fries are not crispy and they are undercooked. The pizza is underwhelming. The garlic knots are overcooked. The boneless wings were aiight. The broccoli bites were OK.

I have nothing bad to say about Pat’s Pizzeria. The staff treats you like family, the establishment is always kept clean. Took my mother out to eat there, and she was very pleased with her shrimp Alfredo dish. I recommend this to all

I like pat’s. They’re open late, the food is consistent, the buffalo wings are crispy and the Prices aren’t too bad compared to their competitors. It’s also easy to order online through hungry hens and they have a bunch of daily and exclusive hungry hen offers.

I used to like this Pat’s location, but today we got to see that sometimes they drop the ball. And not only drop the ball, but make excuses for it. We got an order of 20 piece boneless wings. I posted a picture of it. It looks like they grabbed all the leftover pieces out of the bottom of the bag. The only reason they apologized for the mistake was because my roommate was adamant that the order was unacceptable. The general manager insisted that what we got was what their boneless wings aways looks like, but also said that they were busy and the cooks were just grabbing(the chicken) and just throwing them in. Given the excuses, I’m worried that this is what Is to expect from now on. Follow up: The general manager promised the remake of our order would be delivered before 15 minutes. She said that when we said we’d go with a replacement if we could get it within 15 – 20 minutes. She insisted that the order would be put at the head of the line and go out with the next driver. She even said it’ll be done in 10 minutes. What a liar. 40 minutes later and still no delivery. Another call back to cancel. Different manager. Same«busy» excuse. Not even an attempt to contact us to let us know it’ll take more than triple the time that was promised. What they«try» to do can be appreciated, but what matters is what they actually do or don’t do. The order was refunded, so we got our money returned, but too bad they couldn’t return our faith in them. The initial mistake was one thing, but the entire follow up process was disappointing.

This place has the best pasta dishes… Went here with my wife and had a great meal with great ambiance. I would highly recommend it.

Newark has many excellent restaurants– I am a Newark native and know most of them well. This is my go to place for a quick, simple dinner, eat in or take out. This Pat’s(it’s part of a chain, but my understanding is that locations have separate management) is simply an excellent combination of quality and value. Pizza, especially thin crust, is wonderful. The sandiwches we have had(mostly chicken with various toppings) have all been very good. The calzone is perfectly done and large for the price(a ‘small” will feed four to six people in our experience). Service is efficient and knowledgeable. One of the pictures I saw here was live music; it’s my understanding this has been discontinued. Pat’s is ‘safe’ for non students– unlike some of the places downtown on Main Street, it doesn’t seem to get overrun by college students. I like students myself but haven’t been one for a few decades and know other baby boomers who will avoid places in Newark with large student clientele. If you’re a real foodie there are many other places you will like better. If basic creations for good value appeal to you, this is the place.

Pat’s has good enough food and a decent atmosphere. The real downfall is the service. We waited 15 minutes for water after we ordered it, 45 minutes for appetizers, and almost 2 hours for food. The food is pretty good, it just doesn’t constitute waiting around that long. I’m a server myself and am generally very empathetic to anyone in the food business. I’m not sure how much of this was the server’s fault and how much was the kitchen’s fault. I rarely complain but wow. Good food here, not so good service. From now on I’ll stick to delivery from Pat’s Pizza.

Just ordered from Pat’s on and the experience was great. They had A LOT of really good student specials at unbeatable prices/quantities. Delivery driver showed up maybe 30 minutes after the order was placed and everything was there, hot, and delicious. Great waffle fries, pizza, and chicken nachos.

The pizzas are decent. The waffle fries are pretty good – so are the other fries. The mozz sticks, chicken fingers, and other standard fare are nice. No complaints there, that stuff gets 3 – 4 stars. The sandwiches, however, are lies between two slices of failure. Maybe it was because this was a delivery order, but I ended up getting three of the worst, most overpriced sandwiches possible. They were the flounder filet sandwich, the grilled chicken sandwich, and the grilled veggie rustic sandwich. Out of the three, the fish was the only decent one. The chicken one came naked on the bun – maybe we had to ask for tomatoes and lettuce, but the chicken itself was barely seasoned anyway. The veggie sandwich took the cake: the layer of diced veggies was so thin that you couldn’t see it until you opened up the sandwich, and then it looked as though it was meant to be toppings to a real sandwich instead of the pretend Bizzaro-world version of a sandwich they charged over $ 8 for. So if you have someone in your group who can’t eat dairy and doesn’t eat meat, don’t bother wasting your time with the veggie sandwiches at Pat’s. I can’t imagine the other veggie sandwiches are any better. It literally looked like a cheese steak on fancy bread that was missing the cheese and the steak – actually, that’s a lie, because I’ve seen cheese steaks with more toppings than that sandwich had. I almost want to order it again just to photograph it. Knocking an extra star off because bread that kind of glanced at some vegetables before making its way out the door does not constitute an actual sandwich.
