Pooka Pure and Simple

Have you ever had this moment in your life where you are truly in awe with yourself, you litterally want to bite into yourself? Well maybe I’m just a little weirder than most, but this is what the Pooka Pure and Simple line has done to me. Since its days in Orange, I wanted to go over to their store and purchase their products. I’m a fan of supporting local businesses, women-​owned businesses, and black-​owned businesses and this covered all three! But I never made it over there. They have since expanded and moved over to Downtown Newark and I came across them at a street festival on Halsey Street, better known as the Halsey Pop-​Up Street Festival (kool name, right?). Immediately the aromas of their table caught my attention. All of their scents, coconut lemongrass (think of a soft vanilla scent with a faint hint of lemon drop), Caliente Man, Island Mimosa (a soft tropical punch scent), and last but surely not least Pomegranate were present. In the end, it was between Caliente Man and Pomegranate. Unfortunately I can’t really describe Caliente Man but I will say this: if my man wore this butter, I would have a hard time separating from him… yes indeed! But wow this Pomengranate body butter had a hold on me… its strong fruity scent was not overbearing or cliché (a la Victoria Secret or Calgon scents) at all, it was flirty, sensual and delicious. Since purchasing it, I often take a whiff of it, or rub a small amount on my hot zones and literally sniff myself away…
Overall, I love this body butter, it is a delicious scent, ultra moisturizing and just overall a great product. My only downside is the size. I purchased it for $ 14.99 and if I don’t mix a little bit of it with some olive oil to spread all over me, I would probably finish it in less than a month. So my tip to you is to scoop a little bit with your middle finger, mix some non-​scented oil (olive oil, sunflower oil, but NOT coconut… blech) and rub it all over your damp body.

I LOVE the Body Butters! They are the best when the skin is slightly damp. I hope that they are made in larger sizes sometime soon.
My ONLY issue (non-​product related) is that shipping takes a long time. It’s worth it because I support the product %100, but I hope that regular shipping can be expedited or create other shipping options.
