Yuck… I was disappointed when I first came here back in 2006 when it opened. I was expecting something close to Jamba Juice… But nope, I got mushy colored liquid instead. It tasted powderyish, don’t ask me how or why. I’m gonna have to stick with Jamba from now on. I don’t know what I was thinking… What kind of name is Robeks anyways? Oh well… Maybe it’s gotten better in the past 3 years?

Yay Robeks! I like coming here for a guilt-free treat. Like everyone says, it’s WAY better than Jamba Juice. The drinks aren’t super sour like Jamba but they aren’t super sweet either. I like getting the jr. size light smoothies with added whey protein. Jamba Juice always tastes funny when boosts are added, like you can taste the boost. None of that weird tasting stuff here. The menu is large in selection size, and they can customize as you wish. I like how they offer many tropical fruits here like pineapple, passion fruit, guava, etc. The workers are high energy, nice and accomadating — and it’s hardly ever really busy at this location.

I actually used to work for this Robeks when it first opened in July 2006. =) I personally love their drinks way more that Jamba Juice! They are so much more flavorful and you don’t get those nasty chunks of fruit clogging your straw. Also, Robeks drinks have less sugar than JJ. Even the smell of fresh fruits when you first walk in is appetizing! I definately recommend Robeks as an alternative to Jamba Juice.

I dont goto Robek Juice or Jamba Juice that often but. Trying out both I can’t find a difference in way they make their juices/smoothies. Dont get me wrong though, I actually like both of joints. I just wonder if they have the same parent company or something. Both would give you free boosters(Robek: Protein or Jamba: Energy and etc.), both offer some great juices and smoothies, and both has some very interesting fruit combinations. The only thing I can see different right now is Jamba Juice now has their breakfast items. I give this the same rating I will give to Jambda juice. A good solid 3 STARs.

Surely a delightful change from Jamba Juice. I totally agree with Joy C.– their drinks do taste like the actual fruit, and they don’t ruin its flavor with other unnecessary ingredients(like J.J.‘s over usage of sugar). They also have a few flavors that J.J. doesn’t offer(i.e. Guava). So the next time you get that fruit smoothie craving, skip Jamba and give Robeks a try. You won’t regret it :)

Robeks in Newark is owned and operated by a completely different owner then the Robeks in Fremont. I love Robeks! Totally different taste and offerings then your typical Jamba Juice. The smoothies and fresh juices actually taste like fruit. Among my favorite is the polar pinapple, awesome acai, and the lifeline. If you have been to the Robeks in Fremont or read the reviews, let Robeks in Newark redeem the Robeks name.
