Star Parking

I always park here when going to events. Yes there is no self park here which I understand because if they allowed everyone to park, there would be 10 feet between vehicles and they’d lose money. I’m sure it’s for insurance purposes. The staff is friendly and efficient and you can’t beat being 50 yards from the entrance of Pru Center. Try getting out of the Meadowlands after an event and you’ll appreciate this parking.

I completely disagree with the last reviewer, Jason. The entire staff was courteous, respective, helpful and treated my car with great care. I didn’t have to worry at all. Please read on: I was able to get last minute tickets to Frozen Disney on Ice for last night. When I started to check into parking, I was annoyed to find out that I should have reserved a parking space as well. Who knew? The parking lots next to the Pru Ctr. were sold out. The other lots associated with the Pru Center that had space were ½ mile away from the center! I was in a panic. It was so cold last night and only my 6 year old daughter and I would be going. I started googling and calling around. Enter: Star Parking and Libby, my angel! A live person actually answers their phone! How rare these days! I told her my situation and she asked me my name and the type of car I was driving. She told me exactly where to go. When I got there, a wonderful spot was waiting for me. Their lot was steps away from the Prudential ctr and the street was blocked off to only cars parking so we simply walked down a safe pedestrian street steps away from the entrance to the center. When the show was over, we returned to a lot that was well lit, with several attendants so I felt very safe. I simply drove out and I was on my way home. No fuss, no traffic jam. A true pleasure! If I visit the Pru ctr again, I won’t even hesitate to call Libby again and park there! A super class act! Thank you Libby and the entire staff!

While this lot was convenient, situated right across the street from Prudential
Center, I would not park here again. At $ 25 just to park (for an event at Prudential), it’s
expensive. But then when I pulled into the lot to park, I was told that my
Chrysler Town & Country minivan is «oversized» and would be an extra $ 5. A minivan… Oversized… Whatever.
I got a little angry.
I was also under the impression that I would be able to park my own car… this
is not the case. The attendant took the car, drove it literally 50 feet away, into a dirt parking lot, and walked back over to hand me my key. What was the point of that!!!
We had stopped and bought subs on the way to Newark, and had planned on eating in the car prior to going into the event. Due to the «no self parking» policy, we ended up
eating our sandwiches on a jersey barrier outside Prudential Center. Nice.
The one star is for the proximity to the arena. Otherwise, it rates zero stars. Staff was pushy, rude, unfriendly, and just general assholes all around. Parking charge is a ripoff, and the parking lot turns into a nasty, muddy pit if it rains (it rained the night I was there, the lot was a mess).
This place sucks. I can honestly say that I hate Star Parking and this lot. I’ll take my chances with parking on the street from now on.
