We have always purchased very durable SAS shoes from this store. Tonight was a horrible experience (possibly with new management?). I walked into the store looking for wide-​sized shoes. The saleslady who was busy conversing with a salesman blurted out, ‘We don’t carry wide shoes here!’ after I tried to get her attention. Then when I asked that I’d like to check out any wide-​sized shoes, she just bluntly countered ‘We’re running low on wide shoes.’ No sense of customer service AT ALL! Hmmm. If she’s having a bad day at work, it’s still no excuse for a rather rude treatment of a customer. I just left to order the shoes on-​line… This happened this evening at 6pm.

I bbought a pair of Clark Klogs atTakkens Newpark Mall. Took them home, walked around the house, took them back the next day because they were hurting my feet and Richard Walker Manager in Training wouldn’t refund them in a beligerant manner. I sent an email to
to register a complaint. Can’t afford to have a $ 50 shoe that hurts my feet. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

I’d been calling Takkens for a couple of weeks questioning if they had adult Saltwater sandals in my size and in the color red. Rich answered 5 of my calls and he was always courteous.
Fast forward to Thursday, July 10. I’d just left a HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE hair appointment that left me crying in car. After calling and venting to my husband, my sister, and two good friends, I decided that I wanted to blow $ 40 on a pair of sandals. I called up Rich, my size/​color of Saltwater sandals was in stock, and he held them for me.
I showed up at the store and he remembered my name, got my shoes, and made the transaction quick and painless. He was very friendly, he knew my 661 area code was from the Bakersfield area, and conversation with him was very easy.

Richard the manager was so extremely helpful. He called stores all around the state to find me the right size of Uggs so that I could finally start wearing my christmas present! Then he had them delivered to my home. The next time I’m looking for shoes I will buy them here!

Hayward, CA
Good selection of shoes, with many of the leading brand names. I prefer SAS Shoes because they are made in America and very comfortable. But wait you can bring the entire family as I am certain they have something for everyone. I even noticed some iddy bitty high top sneakers. Another plus is that shoes here look good, the shoes don’t have that my feet are so big I can walk on water look, and the sneakers don’t look like I just escaped from a fly by night circus.

The CSR was very helpful — brought every shoe out, and gave customer reviews. Already a skechers worshipper, and the CSR didn’t need to work as hard as he did (came in wearing skechers!) — it was kinda cute being spoiled!
