Came here for the first time for a relaxer, color rinse and haircut. I couldn’t believe I was there for over 3 hours and the end result was just ok hair. Also had my eyebrows done by one of the stylists and obviously this was not her area of expertise. Anyway since the relaxer my hair has been fallen out like crazy. Will not be going back there again.

Great Salon, absolutely love it and they are all about healthy hair, they are all my favorite, I don’t have a favorite stylist they are all blessed as the name said, good price, you can’t go wrong!

My first time at a «doobie spot» and I was extremely surprised! The staff was friendly & nice and the end result was awesome! I’m currently transitioning & looking for different style options and this is definitely at the top of my list. I plan on going back soon(hopefully today)!

When my dominican hair salon closed in Passaic and I moved to essex I was desperate to find a nearby Dominican salon and I found this one. Everyone is welcoming and they go by sign in sheet to avoid any problems arises because it is in Newark. The girls do a great job(especially Nikki) and prices are decent for a wash and set. The biggest issue is the WAIT. its ridiculous. Waiting for 30 mins just to get your hair washed and into rollers when dryers are available is just crazy to me and then another 30 mins after getting out the dryer to get your hair blown out. Weekends are packed and You have sometimes can go up to 3 – 4 hours t this salon… But like i said they do a great job with your hair.

Excellent service and results! My hair is 100% African-American natural and after my deep-conditioning(for natural hair) and blow out… I swear I look Latina. Lol. They actually care about your hair and take their time getting it to look right. I will certainly return to this salon the next time I’m looking for a «permed» appearance. Actually, one of my coworkers said he was disappointed in me for perming my hair again! He couldn’t believe that natural hair could get results like this!

I started to go to some other doobie salon and thank the precious Lord that I didn’t! This place is in the hood and being from the hood, I do not mind revisiting here and there, especially for a laid doobie. Upon entering I was promptly greeted and asked to sign a book. I love this system because it keeps everything flowing and holds everyone accountable to the order in which they came. The«doobiologists»(as I like to call them) were friendly and made me feel very welcome. I had already washed and preconditioned my own hair which was a good thing because my wash wasn’t really all that. However, that was cancelled out by the fact that she took the time to separate my transitioning hair and comb through each section. Other doobie shops just rake a comb through there without much concern for how my scalp feels about it. I was rolled by the same woman who washed my hair and sat under the dryer. Once my hair was dry, Ana called me to her chair and began to pipe my roots with that hot behind blow dryer. Father in Heaven!!! That dryer was hot!!! But Ana blew on my roots to cool it quickly as it hit my scalp. I appreciated that immensely! We talked for a bit and she wrapped my hair. The cost ended up being less than where I usually go. When I got home and combed it out(I usually wait a few hours) my hair was laid!!! Looked like a fresh perm! I am beyond satisfied and will be back every two weeks. I hope this excellent service continues.

The first time I went there was on accident bc I was lost. Im very scared of getting my hair dyed at a salon I’ve never been to. The ladies there were very educated on dying. I trust them with coloring! They ask a lot of questions about your hair. My hair was very bouncy and soft. I use my own products. The place is clean. They are very fast an hour and 30 mins to 2 hrs. They play Christian music which is soothing. We all know that dominican salons treat dominican customers the best but what I experienced here, they are sweet to everyone.

WARNING: DONOTGOHEREIF U WANTHEALTHYHAIR! I came in on a friday adlnd asked for a blow out. The stylist explained to me that she will wash, rollerset and blow dry my hair. After the wash, she decide s to SKIP rollersetting the hair and instead blowdrys my wet hair for about 35 minutes. I had never been to this kind of salon but this didn’t seem right. After a VERY painful blowdry and my constant request for her to rollerset first to straighten my roots, she uses a flatiron! To top it all off, she charges me extra for a trim. I have washed my hair since and have DAMAGE that I have to cut off. THIASALONDOESNOTCAREFORTHEHEALTHOFYOURHAIR. I HAVETOBIGCHOPDUETOIRREVERSIBLEHEATDAMAGE.

First two times I went were great. They were really friendly and worked fast. They get really 2 ½ stars because for this 3rd time I went there to get just wash and set. I got the 10 $ deep condition which I was okay with. After everything was done. They tried to charge me 45 $ for it all when all I got was rollers, no blow out, no flat iron, none of that. Just ROLLERS. &&& my hair is short. The head lady claimed I got a different type of roller, when honestly that was not explained to me from jump and all the rollers look the same to me. So she claimed they were more expensive so she just quoted me any number. They don’t realize they just lost a customer. I’ll find a new place to go to. They definitely just jipped me! Never looking back.

Amazing prices(my hair is thick/full and shoulder length African American natural hair: $ 20 for deep condition + doubie) …friendly service and so many beautiful babies coming to visit! I had a couple ladies started in front of me but there was practically no wait. In and out in less than 2 hours. Wish I could give a full 5stars but the heat was a bit harsh directly to my scalp, but as a Traditional Dominican salon I guess it’s to be expected. Make sure you get deep condition if you have an extra 25 min. I love movement and bounce in my blowouts and I got it here! Thank you ladies! I’ll be back.
