We had about 2 hours before our flight and decided to get something to eat. Well terminal C had this beautiful area set up (Wanderlust) so we decided to eat here. Worst mistake of my life. There was a lady with eyelashes like caterpillars standing there in her phone and after calling her three times then beating on the glass she finally turned around. I asked if this is where we order(idk this our first time) she looked aggravated at the question and pointed to the front. So we standing there thinking she is coming to take our order and she never does. It is not until another customer comes and does his order on the tablet that we realize that’s how you order. So we ordered the regular burger well done with fries. $45!!! No drink included. We ask the lady do we stand here at the front or go sit down she tells us go sit down and listen for our name. Ok. It 11:40 and we go sit down. At 12:25 still no food. So we go to ask about it and are told 15 minutes. Now we were the only ones waiting so why is it taking so long? 5 minutes later they calling our name and we go get our food and are told we were supposed to wait over where we ordered from. Well your worker told us to have a seat so that’s what we did. We sat down opened up our plates and I started to cut my burger in half so I can eat at least half of it( plane stops boarding at 12:49pm). While cutting juice just pouring out and I’m like ok this is going to be good until I look closer and see it’s not juicy it’s bloody! I pull the two halves apart and burger is not even cooked. I go back to the front and tell the man that I need another burger and I am told it will take 25 minutes. I then told him I don’t have 35 minutes so I need a refund. He ask why I tell him our burgers are not cooked as ordered. He says well you didn’t choose a temperature I tell him yes we did we chose well done and it is no where near well done. He is then shown the receipt that clearly says well done after arguing with me that I never chose a temperature! After seeing the receipt he then said ok I’ll give you two refunds for your food. I said alright and standing there for him to do it and he says I promise it is going to be refunded in about 15 minutes. Well he knows I don’t have 15 minutes to stand there so I ask him can you do it now. He says I will do it I promise. Well as I am writing this almost 24 hours later there still has been no refund. To my surprise everybody has had a complaint on this place and there is no contact information to call anyone. So I guess we were ripped off! So beware if you are hungry do not wait until you get to terminal c because they sit right there and it’s so tempting to eat there but trust me you will be highly disappointed in the customer service, the prices, and the food!!! The fact that there is no contacts listed tells you that don’t give a damn about their customers!!! $45 wasted!!!????????????????

Horrible! I ordered a hot dog(no jam but with pickles and cheese), it showed up with cheese and jam, no pickles, the fries were cold and nasty and for only $ 47.82 with two Stellas!!! The tablets are not intuitive or respond easily, this place is a joke. If you want to waste a ton of money and be disappointed, visit here!

Had a 5 hour wait for our flight. Sat down for a drink and burger. Burger is very plain and mediocre, liquor expensive, but it is an airport. The service on the other hand is horrible! We sat and waited over 45 minutes for he plain cheeseburger and close to an hour for a glass of water after asking 4 waiters and the iPad button service. Obviously don’t recommend. however when you have no where else to go…

What you see is not what you get. What you get is nowhere close to what they show in the picture when you order. And do yourself a favor and skip the tip. Customer service is close to nil. They will not even give you tap water till you ask three times. I am attaching a picture of what I got for what I ordered. To give the context, the burger that I ordered was not at all cooked. And the fries that came were cold.

We ate here during a layover while flying back to LA. My boyfriend, his mom and I were all pretty hungry and of all the food places in Terminal C, this one seemed to be the best option for us. First off, it seems like ALL the food places are all automated. So you do all your ordering off an iPad(that means credit cards only, no cash… at least here it was). Price-wise…I mean, it’s airport food, so you know you’re going to get ripped off. $ 18 for a cheeseburger, $ 16 for a chicken sandwich, $ 11 for a kids chicken tender meal. Chicken tenders: came with fries and 3 chicken tender strips. The chicken tenders were on the dry side and were mostly breading. fries weren’t even hot… and though the meal comes with a drink, apparently you only get the drink if you are under 12. chicken sandwich: DRY!!! Drier than the sahara desert! I couldn’t even finish my sandwich, nor even get through half of it without drowning it in ketchup and mayo just to add some sort of moisture to the sandwich. When I finally opened up the sandwich to look at the chicken, it looked like jerky! luckily it came with fries, and though the fries were cold, at least there was something on the plate I could actually eat. cheeseburger: my boyfriend said it was bland. for an $ 18 burger, it better be seasoned… but NOPE! again, fries that came with it were cold. it also took FOREVER for our food to come out. We had a layover of 2 hours and by the time we finished eating, we ran to our gate and were basically the last ones on the plane. don’t come eat here if you have anything less than a 2 hour layover. service was ok. since everything is automated, the guy only came over to bring us our water and than to drop off our food. most of the guys stayed down at the end of the counter where all the drinks were, as it seemed most people were there strictly for the booze(which also was very overpriced). Leaving here and getting on our plane, my boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed and STILLHUNGRY!

I hate places that are set up like this. There are no servers, just food runners and bussers. I hope they are paying their people federal minimum wage. Shame on whoever owns this place

First off, you tip prior to receiving service, which probably explains why it is so horrendous. Food was way overpriced, which is to be expected at the airport but I wasn’t satisfied with my meal. 17.50 for a margarita! 15 – 17 for a burger.

The concept is so cool, with iPads and literally a bar seat right in front of my gate. Unfortunately, the food looked absolutely nothing like pictures and was so expensive. we were excited to have stumbled upon what seemed like an awesome find, and walked away disappointed.

This is part of newark’s C terminal– which consists exclusively of United-type ventures, it seems. What you have is a central bar with iPads and plenty of charging– something nice when you’re between flights and low on batteries. Ordering is done with the iPads, unless you flag someone down to order. Everything is expensive, with a standard burger with fries running $ 14.5. Beer starts at $ 7.50 and goes up to about $ 10. Adding bacon is a $ 2.50 upcharge. Despite this, I was hungry and had time so I took a chance. The food is decent, but not worth the price tag. Burger tended to be a bit dry, the bun was tasty though. Quality-price ratio is way off. Five guys has a better burger for half the price. Then again, five guys isn’t an option — this seems to be the best option for terminal c(which isn’t saying much)

Love the setting, its in the middle of the concourse. You can sit down have a drink, order your food and also charge all your electronic gadgets at the same time. I ordered the Build your own Bloody Mary and its good. I was surprised that it was very potent for an airport bar. I also ordered the Classic Burger, again you can customize it the way you want. I like the idea about the ipad ordering system. The service was also very good. The server greeted me as soon as I sat down and asked if I need any help using the ipad ordering system. He was very attentive. The burger was delicious. The music was also great, and I actually loved it. Overall great place to hang out while waiting for your flight.

We missed our window to grab something in NYC to bring w/us for the flight & saw Wanderlust on our way to the gate Not really craving their veggie burger combo offering, we asked about the possibility to sub out the veggie patty on 1 of their other burger combos. At first the guy said no but then went to ask his manager & came back & said yes — yay! So the Mr & I ordered the Truffle Burger w/the veggie patty & paid the higher truffle burger price. Unfortunately, it wasn’t all that trufflie Seemed to be a homemade patty w/quinoa & lots of smokey peppers — the patty was soft & crumbly & this was definitely a knife & fork burger… & overall, have to admit it was probably best suited towards the original combo listing of California Burger, w/guac & veggies. but it was nice of them to make an «exception» & sub the patty out. Now we know better So save your money & stick to the burgers they have listed — they don’t mix & match well. But given this is an airport eatery, they are probably focused on getting items out quickly so there is little room for customization — and given we’d be willing to try the quinoa patty as part of their California burger, have to rate this place as A-OK for now

Stopped here on a very long layover in Newark. After getting my steps in by walking through all of terminal C and checking out all of the bars and restaurants in the process, I picked Wanderlust because they seems trendy and had a decent amount of people without being overly crowded like some of the bar strips. Starting with the positives, the service was good. The bartender greeted me as a sat down and asked if I knew how to order from the iPad. He also brought water and a sample of a wine when I asked if their rose of the day was sweet or dry. They also had great music playing. You would think you wouldn’t be able to hear what music is playing when you’re in a noisy strip of airport, but the airport has done some sort of architectural voodoo and made it possible. The music at wanderlust was like listening to my own iTunes playlists, good indie stuff. I can’t speak to the food since I didn’t end up ordering food here, but I appreciated that they had a gluten free menu and that they had a decent variety of food. The prices seemed astronomically high though even for airport food. I went to order a Cobb salad for $ 15 and then saw it’s an additional $ 7 to add chicken. I don’t really appreciate having to add something that’s already supposed to exist on a salad since a Cobb generally comes with chicken included, and I certainly wasn’t about to pay $ 22 for an airport salad. The greatest downfall of this place though is that they’re located directly across from the bathrooms. I surprisingly didn’t notice this fact until they cleaned the bathrooms and the overwhelmingly strong smell of disinfectant and bleach assaulted my nostrils. It was so bad that I had to cover my nose while I collected my things to go. Definitely not what you want to smell while eating. I ended up staying for a drink and then hit up a convenience stand for a less fancy but far cheaper salad.

Ordered the surf hamburger, they brought me a bun and patty. I asked why, they explained that i didn’t select any options and right away blamed me for ordering incorrectly. I asked why there wasn’t any lettuce or sauce on it, they said I was wrong and that the sauce was«right here» digging through the serving cart. Despite forgetting the regular sides. Not a big thing if they say«we made a mistake» but they were adamant at staying correct. The hamburger was expensive, dry and I could only muster a few bites out of it before giving up. The try’s were over salted(the kind you find at the bottom of an old McDonald’s bag) So if you simply love hospital and people who will argue every step of the way, this place is great. Otherwise opt for the airplane food.

This is a burger joint in EWR Terminal C. Lots of tables with iPads to expedite ordering. I found it too late and ordered to go which was a clean and efficient process. At the other side of seeing the kitchen is a spot to order yourself on a computer and choose any customizations. There is a waitress of sorts who bags the orders as they are ready and to help with any questions on ordering, paying or menu. The burger I got was very good and I ate it about 30 minutes later on the plane. I’m confident it would have been delicious if I got to eat eat while it was still warm.

An overall disappointing experience. I am pro technology and pro convenience but when using the iPad to order doesn’t allow you to completely customize your burger it is absolutely useless. The server said he would verbally tell the chef, but when my burger arrived it had the unwanted grilled onions. The server apologized and fixed the order but when it arrived I had to box it up and go directly to my gate. This coupled with overall slow service makes this an unwelcome destination for an airport eatery. Dissatisfied and underwhelmed.

I’ll keep this simple since this place has a bunch of conflicted reviews: — SERVICE: so-so, exponentially worse the busier they are — PRICE: expensive, burgers are 14 – 18USD, price per portion is so-so, at least you get fries with your burgers — FOOD: pretty good, I only got the classic burger and fries. Burger was actually cooked at medium rare as I asked, patty was soft and juicy but lacked flavor, although the special sauce along with the pickles helped cover. The brioche bun was a nice complement to the burger too and didn’t get in the way of the patty at all. Fries were okay but didn’t have quite the crisp I like in them. Would I go back? Eh, I’ll probably see if I can try some other burger places first, but if I have money and time, I know I can get a solid burger here.

A huge strip restaurant/bar right in front of my gate? I’m over an hour early for boarding? This spells trouble for me and my wallet! This is definitely a cool concept with its convenience to the terminal gates and fancy iPad ordering systems(a bit tricky at first when trying to figure out if your order went through or not) but the prices are just too high. I had 2 Brooklyn Lagers, and a order of fried pickles which ran me just shy of $ 30. Of course airport prices are known to be high, and its to be expected, but I was still a bit taken aback. If you treat it like a place to grab a quick drink and relax before your flight, then its totally worth it. The iPad has full access to the internet and tons of apps, there are cell phone charging stations at every seat(bring your own charger) and TV’s galore to sit back and watch. Overall it was a nice way to kill an hour before my flight, just a costly one at that

So these long strip restaurant type businesses are convenient for travelers. Wanderlust is a burger type restaurant/bar. They have a huge staff, running around with sour looks on their faces. Even with all the cranky staff, it took over 15 minutes to deliver a bottled drink. The salad for $ 13.50 was TINY! It would not even register as an appetizer salad on most menus. It was good, and had Kale, goat cheese, pickled onions and almonds. However the best bet for your money is with the burger combos. Charging stations and purse hooks at every station which is nice. Unless you are 6’4″ the seats are way too far from the bar and uncomfortable. Ehhhh it’s an airport what can you do?

Haha funny how sometimes reviews can be accurate! This place sucks! So… Note I did not order food so this is not a food review. Kind of a simple review really… And keep in mind it’s jersey so bad service is normal(sorry just being honest) AND every place near here seems to have even WORSE reviews! The cost is WAY too high, quality appears very poor for the food, everyone working here is miserable, I watch tons of employees walk by with no interaction to the guests, and worst of all for me, I have zero faith in anyone making any drink other than pouring a beer. Imagine high school employees not caring just barely working… Yet it’s busy. Weird! Add to it that no matter where you sit u r facing everyone else… Awkward! So my 13 dollar draft beer? It was good! Now I am leaving to go somewhere else…

This was a new experience for me… At the airport, I think this setting is perfect. It was easy, fast and convenient and I think for airports when people always are rushing this is great. Outside the airport, I like human interactions. You do all ordering on i-Pod and before you even get to pay your drink is already there… by the time you have two sips of your drink, the food is there. I loved it.
