Great breakfast on the weekends. Lots of choices. Delicious biscuits and gravy and French toast. Lots of choices for omelets and breakfast sandwiches. Friendly and efficient service. We love the Copper Monkey West breakfast. Just one thing I would like to see added, country fried steak.

One of our favorite places to grab a casual meal when our schedules permit after work. Very good burgers, great chips, steak salad is excellent. Service is usually pretty good, aside from the occasional minor error with the order that gets resolved quickly and politely.

I’ve tried both locations in Gainesville and have had the same experience twice.
At the campus location I was excited to try their burger which the menu touts as «…voted the best burger in Gainesville!» Really? How is this possible? The burger was dry as the Sahara and the fries were mediocre. And it wasn’t cheap. A total of $ 15 dollars for a burger, fries, and drink. Should have went to Burger Fi!
At the «Copper West» location in Jonesville, I was again tempted by their dishonest menu. «Jumbo Wings!» it exclaims. Chicken wings are some of my favorite food and I was excited. My wife and I were both dismayed when we got our order. The wings were barely covered in sauce and definitely not «jumbo.» Of average size, I would rather go to Gators Dockside (still not great but they have a ton of flavors) or Blue Highway Pizzeria and get some decent wings. It’s too bad Gainesville doesn’t have a Hurricanes location.

I ordered a BLT with fries to go. They told me 25 minutes, I arrived in 20. My food was already ready when I got there, who knows for how long. The meal was cold, bacon was undercooked and floppy. The bread was soggy and they gave me potato chips instead of fries. This was my first and probably my last experience with this establishment. Over priced and poor quality.

They ADD MORE to your bill if you want a veggie (Black Bean) Burger than if you get a Steakburger. Seriously??? NO THANKS! Talk about alienating some segments of the population.

A quick decision to get a bite to eat led to a simple and pleasant meal at The Copper Monkey. The appetizer of chicken nachos was filling for two people. There was a good selection of beers and iced teas. Out server was prompt and tuned in. A revisit for other choices is warranted. Plenty of TVs for sports watching.

As a self proclaimed burger connoisseur, I was hopeful that my lunch burger would be at least edible, if not good. Never haven eaten here, my Mom and I both ordered the Monkey Burger. O.M.G!!! Good, great, wonderful, delicious, wonderfully delicious and every other yummy descriptor imaginable. My only regret is that I couldn’t finish my plate of food. Great quality and value. WORTH THE TRIP!!!

We’ve been a couple times and have had pretty good experiences. Their burgers are really good except for once I ordered my toddler a kids cheeseburger and it was so overcooked that *I* couldn’t barely bite into it.
Their chicken nachos were outstanding and I’m in love with the Cedar Key Clam Chowder.

AWESOME burgers! Great service! (Thank you, Rachel! You’re awesome!) We’ve been several times in the last 3 months. They have daily specials, which I have found some of my fav dishes this way. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area.

Copper Monkey West is great. We go about one a month with a group of four adults and four children. The service is great, the rolls with cinnamon butter are awesome and the food selection is pretty good. I’d recommend sticking to burgers and sandwiches as that is where the Monkey excels. The Mac and cheese bites are a great appetizer. Also, they have crinkle cut sweet potato fries that come with a good dill sauce.
My only complaint is the $ 3 up charge for onion rings or sweet potato fries as a side.

Service was slow and no one was really in the place. My pet peeve, no water refills, she didn’t come by and check on us. The absentee waitress.
Monday, late afternoon 2pm lunch. Many servers, like 3 or 4 tables, but slow service.
I ordered the French Dip. Pricey ish’ but the ingredients were very good quality, the au jus was very tasty also. All in all it was a winner.
Side was sweet potato fries. The dill sauce served with it was a nice complimentary taste.
All in all the family had a good lunch. Would have probably rated 3.5 stars is service was better, and 4 if the price was better. But given the quality of the food I’m with paying what we paid so long as they keep it up. Two adults, 15 yo and a 2 yo (kids grilled cheese) cost $ 50. No appetizers ordered. Salmon salad, French Dip, Chicken Sandwich and kids grilled cheese, 2 cokes and that’s it.
We will be back. Hopefully service will be better.

Seated quickly, not crowded at all. Saturday for lunch. Waitress arrive promptly and took order. Brought out rolls with cinnamon butter which were tasty, soft and warm. Ordered the fried chicken salad. Salad was large and fresh. Chicken could have been better though. Appeared to be a thin piece of chicken breast. A fresh chicken breast cut up and fried or chicken strips would have been better than the cutlet that appeared fried and cut into strips. Plenty of dressing served on the side. Wait staff courteous and efficient. Will be back to try some of the other menu items and hopefully the rating will increase after that visit.

Updated review. I’ve had the burgers and wings. Both are excellent which makes it hard to navigate to other items. Restaurant ambience is nice. Staff are friendly. To-go orders are easy and convenient. Can’t wait to be brave and try other items.

Excited to have this new option near my office, but first impression was… meh. Had the bacon cheeseburger and fries. Burger was over cooked. Fries were bland — despite the additional 59 cents for a light dusting of Cajun seasoning. Service was friendly but slow.
