What an improvement no more clutter! New staff and new management! So refreshing. The 9 after 9 menu is superb! Fresh ingredients for all the drinks. What a world of difference this new Gully’s is. Wow!

Only beer on tap is local brewery. No choice if you want a draft. Ordered burger and got a loaf of bread and the thinnest piece of meat I have ever seen. Oh, and it was $ 16.
Save your $. Find somewhere else.

Wtf did I just eat? 1. Ordered burger med rare, was well done 2. It was $ 14 for a fricken burger served with CHIPS in a SMALL basket 3. The bun was TWICE the size of the burger, the party was thin, meager, and 2.5 inches wide on a bun 6 inches wide. 4. For $ 14 you got two translucent slices of tomato and lettuce, no onions or pickles. No slaw, just a handful of chips. 5. Ketchup was served in packets, like McDonald’s… $ 14 burger with ketchup packets? 6. The menu is 9 items long, very few choices… All over priced for the quality/​demographic. A Cobb salad is $ 14 then $ 6 to add protein… A $ 20 salad? 7. My drinks are served in plastic??? That’s gross, maybe for nightlife I could understand but not 7pm dinner service. Tacky and cheesy to say the least 7. Drink prices are outrageous as well. Cups are small, and PLASTIC.
I keep hearing some fancy restaurant group from the city bought this place and wants to change it, make it more «trendy» or «hipster.» Ok, I get it and I agree and feel it’s a great idea, can do well, and it what Newburgh needs. Honestly though, nothing this place does make sense at all. When I’m in Brooklyn I don’t get plastic cups, my $ 18 burger is phenomenal and well worth it.
I wouldn’t hear the defense either that they can demand the price for the location etc because the prices my be comparable to the other establishments on the waterfront, but the quality abounds over this place as well as the portions. I read many other negative reviews on Unilocal and facebook, clearly im not the only one who has had a bad experience. When will they wake up?
Ps. The only people writing positive reviews for this place are the ones that work there.

Came here yesterday to get out of the heat and enjoy a drink on the water. Ended up getting the apricot glazed pork shanks (called «wings» on the menu, I think). Absolutely delicious. Hung out, had a few beers, enjoyed the atmosphere, joked around with some of the people there about the boats passing by, and toward the end of the afternoon, they had some live acoustic music, which also added to the chill vibe. Loved it.

Even newer owners and management team are killing it. The menu has lots of options, all though the Chef sources only from locals, so it changes every day. Great beers on draft, also supporting the local breweries. Live Music and a DJ on the weekends. Came for open mic night on Wednesday and had a great time.
