Walgreens

I stopped by while in town for a weekend convention. I needed to transfer a prescription I had filled at a different location, the gentleman helped me quickly & I was out the door in less then 10 minutes. I was amazed at how quick the service was & I was given no slack about having to transfer the RX like I have had happen at other locations!

I can only comment on the staff of the photo department but Michael and Anthony were very helpful in resolving a problem with an order today.
I had decided to take advantage of a very special (75% off) deal which came via email for a 10×8 print on wood. I had some great shots of cardinals on our bird feeder and I ordered one in my name and one via my partner’s account because the offer was limited to one per person. Because we were going to be in Newburgh I arranged for pick-​up there even though it is not the nearest store to where we live.
Unfortunately when I got to the store I discovered that both had been printed in landscape format whereas the pictures were portrait — I hadn’t noticed that the system defaults to landscape and there is no preview unless you go into edit mode. In any event they were not what I was expecting, or wanted.
The technician was very helpful. He offered to re-​do them if I had the digital files with me (I did not) and so he gave me an immediate refund and arranged for me to have them printed at Kingston. There was a slight complication because I would not be able to use the voucher for a second time but he phoned Kingston and when I went there later on I was expected and there was no hassle.
My only reservation (which is not staff-​related) is that the prints appear to be uncoated — just prints mounted on wood blocks — and for the $ 5.00 I paid they were a steal but if I had paid the full $ 20.00 I might have expected some form of protective coating. In fact I am already looking at resin coating options so that they can be wiped and perhaps provide protection from fading.

I like this Walgreens. The staff are helpful, the store is well designed and I’m able to pick up lots of items without heading to the supermarket next door. If you get their member card and combine with coupons you can get some great deals. I’m a fan of their generic over-​the-​counter medications and their ice cream!

This walgreens is new to the area so if you’re a fan of Walgreens you will be excited about this location. It’s actually pretty large in size but in my opinion comparable to CVS in size and products.
