6÷28÷16 I think they have a different chef. Came Here to celebrate our 2 yr anniversary. Everything we ordered last time Plus a little more. The scallops small plate was not great. The Brussels sprouts were mushy. The cream sauce was nonexistent. The mussels were way too spicy. My husband LOVES spice and was really struggling to eat a few. Nothing tasted the same. 3 stars for the swordfish. Can’t go wrong with it. Went to two stars after watching a cook in the back eat a something with his hands and not wash them Unsure how soon we will be back.

Excellent! We had been here once before for drinks with friends and decided to try Sunday brunch. It doesnt look like much from the outside, but it is adorable inside. The food was delicious — get the crab cakes — so good! The focaccia bread they serve is ah-mazing. Service was prompt, friendly, and professional. We will definitely be back for dinner sometime soon.

Just ate the worst meal I’ve had at a Restaurant in a long time. My wife and I each ordered the Shrimp Scallops & Haddock Entrée. What we received was a small piece of 2 day old Haddock on a bed of Instant Mashed Potatoes and uncooked Spinach. There was a Ritz Cracker Breading on top of the Haddock but I defy anyone to find any Shrimp or Scallop in it. Ate here before a few years ago and had a great meal — won’t be heading back anytime soon

Went here the other night and had the greatest ribs ever! I highly recommend this to everyone.

First… oysters were $ 3 each which in an out of the way bar joint off season is really, really silly! So we ordered the seafood chowder and regret we didn’t ask beforehand to see it so we could see there was almost no seafood but an entire potato in one bowl. Maybe 3 tiny bay scallops shriveled to ¼″ diameter. That plus a $ 6 beer. never again!

Mediocre food at a premium price. Always overcrowded and loud. Great view of the sunset over the marsh at the bar so maybe stopping for a quick drink would be better than staying for a meal.

Last Saturday we decided to take a drive and try a new place — this is where we ended up. What a great place, though you wouldn’t know it from the outside. Outside it looks like a dive, and the décor inside is, um, interesting… Tables are close together and we were seated cramped in a corner between two tables, but the food is surprisingly good. Oysters were delicious– we got raw with mignonette and their tempura style with Sweet chili soy glaze. The tempura ones were tastier than I expected. We got the swordfish special– which was excellent and I normally don’t like swordfish, but this was flaky and not dried out. We also got the Scallop & Shrimp Carbonara — this dish was good, but the portion was overwhelming– I got 3 meals out of it. Service is friendly and food /wine were brought out quickly. Definitely a place I’d go to again.

Yeesh… cool décor, but the food was not very good. Stopped by after an excursion to the Parker River Wildlife Refuge for a quick bite on our way home. Got the shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was not de-veined well at all. Lots of black stuff still in the vein and smeared all over the shrimp. I spent a lot of time scraping the goo out and the wait staff never even noticed(or at least didn’t say anything). I also had the sweet potato soup and it mediocre at best. Not quite hot, and it had an off taste. Cost just short of $ 50 for a really light lunch(and no alcohol)…not quite worth the money, or the trip to get there.

About four years ago I visited Plum Island Grille with colleagues from the office. I had one of the most memorable meals ever, living their Thai Seafood Stew. I dreamt of returning some day. Today I finally did with my daughter. I was not let down. We shared a shrimp tempura app. Three jumbo shrimp cooked perfectly with a walk nice light emporia batter, and an equally pleasing dipping sauce. They still offer the Thai Seafod Stew, and it is still awesome. Plenty of scallops, shrimp, fish, along with veggies, swimming in a nice Thai curry coconut milk broth that had a nice little kick. I sopped up as much broth with extra bread as I could. My daughter was equally pleased with her shrimp and scallop carbonara. Plenty of shrimp and scallops with linguini and some veggies in a cream sauce. We finished with desert, going with their Mexican brownie. It was one of the moistest brownies I have ever had kicked up with some cayenne, then topped with cinnamon ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce and caramel. Wonderful. Our server, Mackenzie was awesome. I did not think the plates were small as some have reviewed. My daughter could not finish her meal, taking half home. One of the easiest five star reviews I have handed out.

4 star bar for sunset. 4 star restaurant for a private function(a friend’s wedding in my case). 3 star for general dining due to small portions and some mediocre food. Went last night to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Lovely table, relaxing setting and good drinks. Unbeatable sunset venue set a great mood. Cheese plate was unnecessarily stingy(and arrived missing 2 of the 3 cheeses), and the ribs were overcooked, dry and generally unappealing. But based on the quality of their salad/garnish and the fresh ingredients at hand the can easily elevate their game to undisputed 4 star across the board.

Small portions of food and very expensive! The only thing that’s great is the deck for the sun sets !

After biking, birding and swimming on Plum Island — we found a perfect spot for some drinks and a light dinner. We sat at the bar — which has many windows and watched a storm beginning to develop(which later turned to hail storms on our way home). The service was good and the company at the bar — even better. Very friendly and conversational on both sides of us. I got some oysters on half shell and then the seafood chowder — the oysters were top notch and the chowder chock-full of shrimp and seafood, potatoes, carrots and celery. Deb got the crab cakes and beet salad — both were delicious, although the crab cakes were small. The dark and stormy drink was perfect for the day and our ominous trip back to Norton during the early evening.

I have such a memory of being here as the sun went down with a good glass of beer, a little above average food and excellent staff. The sun going down here though was something else and the crowd was just perfect for it.

They do the best with what they have. It’s basically a Summer shack structurally. It’s a little funky. A member of our party got food poisoning there once. The bar side is a crap shoot. It’s a little dubious that the bottles of liquor sit in the sun all day long. Can’t be good. The bar can be sticky at times… cleanliness IS questionable. Staff is loyal to regulars and dismissive of the rest… never a good idea. BUT, they do have some creative dishes and you can’t beat the distance from the beach!

Meh. Very expensive for what you get but what do you expect? It’s the beach. It’s a really nice atmosphere and the servers are great. I wish the menu was better. It is small and a bit boring. I would love to see lobster or clams on the menu — that’s what we go to the shore to eat! Most patrons are elderly. Probably due to the $$

The food tasted good but unfortunately the portions, especially for the price, were ridiculously small. Definitely not ok — we ordered the FISH soup and there was literally not one piece of fish in it. It tasted good but there was not one piece, it was all potato. My mother ordered the crab cakes appetizer and yes I understand appetizers are not supposed to be big but it was literally two crab cakes slightly larger than a quarter, tasted really good, but not enough at all. I got 6 of the tempura oysters and it honestly seemed like they chopped oysters and then fried them, it was not a whole oyster and it was mostly batter. The wine we got was really good, a Pinot Gris from Oregon but I won’t go back for a $ 44 bottle of wine. Service — ok, nothing special. Probably won’t go back because the portions were that small and I can’t forgive a fish soup with no fish in it.

Lovely restaurant that has a view of the marshes, but food was mediocre at best. If you are here for the ambience and feel, go for it, but don’t put your hope too high for the food.

Unimpressive. The drinks: boring with lower quality alcohol The service: bland– not very attentive or friendly… although I wouldn’t say non-attentive or unfriendly just not attentive or friendly in the way I expected from the location and pricing. The food: Small portions on big plates or small items enlarged in cheap ways. I ordered the Scallops. It was 4 scallops on a giant plate. I ordered the shrimp. They were fairly small, poorly deveined and the breading on them was twice as thick as they were. The view: I asked for outdoor seating and was sent to a room that looked more like an enclosed porch with windows on one side overlooking a field. It was a beautiful day and the windows weren’t even open. What a waste! It seems like the sort of place that wealthy single middle-aged locals go to in order to feel like they are hanging out in a hip beach bar only there’s no beach in sight. It does seem like a slightly classy beach-y hangout though.

Here on a Sunday about 3:30pm looking for something to eat in the area after visiting the beach searching for snowy owls. This place looked inviting and the parking lot indicated it had a decent business. We first entered the dining room side but, even though there were patrons, were told it was closed but the bar portion was open and had the same menu. Its décor was a little less formal but still attractive. They had 2 Rieslings by the glass offered which were both from Washington state. I ordered the Bonny Doone and was happy. They brought out warm bread and there was olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table with which to prepare a dip. That was enjoyable. I then ordered the angus burger with manchego cheese(other cheeses were available such as cheddar and gouda) and fries. It came with a great bread but, on the other hand, there was just too much bread for the burger. It seemed a little overdone for medium that I requested. All-in-all, the burger and fries were ok, just not outstanding.
