I just moved to NBPT, work from home, and come here for lunch a few days a week. It’s awesome! I’ve tried almost everything and I’m never disappointed. They also serve beer and wine, so my only wish would be for more bar room, and focus in the late afternoon/evenings on beer/wine tastings. They have a great little bites menu for it. Awesome casual atmosphere for it as well!

Obviously their coffee is amazing I had a vanilla laté and my BF had a med hot black coffee. We split a chicken Cesar wrap which was also delicious. Something unique is that they also serve beer on tap we did not indulge but maybe another time we will. They two guys working the counter were very enjoyable people to be around. «There are no sorry’s in coffee» Thank you for such a nice experience

Great atmosphere, good coffee selections, and yummy sandwiches. Staff is very friendly and efficient. My only(minor) complaint is that their sandwiches are a bit overpriced for what you get, but it is Newburyport, so not too surpising. All considered, I give it a thumbs up!

Highly recommend the 442 with soy. It’s a chai latte with 2 shots of their delicious espresso. They have plenty of tables to relax and enjoy your drink.

Cozy little spot in the downtown area. Great staff and delicious treats. With so many other choices in town, I’ll still pop in to mix it up from time to time. Great place to sit and read

This is a seriously great café! Their coffee is good and so is their dirty chai. Their wraps and panini’s are very delicious. This is where I buy my coffee beans to take home to brew. I get the diesel dark roast coffee, it’s nice and smooth. The service is good and very nice. If you are looking for a place to do a little computer work, this is a great place to do so. I see people on their laptops all the time.

After going to the atomic café in Beverly was very pleased that the Newburyport store was just as good. Serving fantastic coffee based drinks from lattes to cold brew iced coffee they do it all. They also serve tasty sandwiches and pastries!

Stopped in here on a Saturday night as my wife wanted a hot chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had 6 – 7 beers on tap and a dozen more in bottles. Server was not knowledgeable about the beer choices, but they had a decent selection. Sat at a booth to enjoy our drinks and all of a sudden music changed from coffeeshop-esque to death metal. Not our style and it did not seem to be popular with the patrons around us either.

Awesome to have a new coffee shop, café and bar right on the main drag. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, locally roasted coffee. Skip the Starbucks for this spot, and support a local business! You can also pop next door to the bookstore and support a longtime fixture.

I started with Atomic because I’m really interested in photographing latte art. Well, they have a great artist on staff so that’s a bonus. Even better is their double shot lattes are really good. No, really. The staff and baristas are very friendly and accommodating so when I ask my latte to be prepped by the best artist in the building they are very willing. Here’s the clincher. Spendy, and that’s why they get 3 stars. With tax a double shot latte is $ 3.48. That’s a little rich for my blood but I’ll continue, for now. Build me a great latte with some incredible art and I’ll be there.

This is a fine little café that serves up an excellent cup of coffee and even offers a nice selection of beers and wines for something special. I particularly like the walk-through proximity of a well-stocked bookstore that comes complete with a helpful and knowledgeable staff. For a small café the Atomic offers quite a variety of pastries, sandwiches, and specialty plates all of which are prepared fresh daily or as ordered. I recently sampled the deviled egg plate(available after 3:00) and it was fresh and ample enough to serve as a light supper. Staff is friendly and efficient which help since there are usually plenty of customers on hand. WIFI is provided and, to my experience, hassle free. Great location in the heart of Newburyport. Easy off-street paring nearby.

Great spot to relax in downtown. Do some work, catch up on the feed, and enjoy a dank cappuccino.

Attention Aussies and Kiwis: this place makes a really good Flat White(or as they call it a cappuccino)! I tend to order the small Cap because it comes in a standard cup size — large is REALLY large. They also make a great breakfast sandwich — I recommend the Everything Bagel, Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. The staff are incredibly friendly and after a few visits they will even remember your name. Good spot to stop, have a cuppa and utilise some free wireless. The only down side is that sometimes there are a lot of people crammed into their café so the noise gets a bit overwhelming — but hey, that means they are popular and doing well, so good on them!

Love this place! If you care about good espresso you’ll live it here. Milk was steamed perfectly and they know their stuff here, and it shows.

Grab a coffee here and be happy. The coffee here is outstanding — 5 stars. The sandwiches are also really tasty. A little expensive, but really good. 4 stars What brings this place down is the service. I’ve tried it a few times and even when it’s not crowded the wait times are outrageous. Like 35 minutes for a sandwich outrageous. The staff is also a little«too cool» and aloof — even for a hipster coffee spot. If you are also super cool or don’t mind waiting an absurd amount of time for your food — because you can look very disaffected while waiting — than by all means order food. Otherwise, just get an iced coffee to go and enjoy it with the unabashed relish that will make the staff think you are lame.

The new cold brew is fantastic, and for lunch the sandwiches are on point. Just love the vibe in this place for getting work done(plugs galore) or just sitting and having a coffee. Also there’s nice patio seating if you’re into that and it’s not too much of a scorcher out there.

Great little coffee shop. Strong yet smooth cappuccino made with their own roast. The pastries looked forgettable so I skipped those. Atomic Café does have sandwiches, but I didn’t try any. They also have a selection of draft and bottled beer and a few wines. There is a nice sidewalk seating area that is a must when the weather is good.

The cappuccino is wonderful and will spoil your taste for coffee at all other locations. The breakfast muffins are great. The breakfast sandwiches are greasy but tasty. The staff is always positive and helpful even when they are slammed by business. It is not unusual to have the line all the way to the door. I love the coffee but do not recommend buying your beans here. Good meeting place — I’ve had a number of business and personal meetings here and it always works. Don’t know about wifi as always use personal hot spot.

Pretty good café. Milk in espresso drinks was flat. Probably the best option in NBPT though. Nice open space.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning. There were some really high highs and some really low lows so here goes: Pros: –Awesome iced coffee. Better than Plum Island Coffee Roasters, in my opinion. –Great food. I got an egg, cheese and tomato wrap and it was fairly big, flavorful and freshly made. –Very cute interior. –They also have lunch sandwiches that sound great, tapas plates and wine and beer! Cons: –Service was incredibly slow. We ordered a bagel, three breakfast sandwiches and a few iced coffees and it probably took about 20 minutes to get everything. –The staff asked my sister-in-law what kind of bagel she ordered a few times after she ordered it. They then«ran out» of the bagel she ordered(after giving it to my husband when they«ran out» of the other kind of bagel he had ordered). Long story short, the staff appeared to have no idea what kind of bagels were actually in stock, nor did there appear to be any communication between staff members. –The final straw for me was that my sis-in-law’s bagel had literally the smallest amount of cream cheese I’ve ever seen on a bagel. I have no idea what the hell was going on but it was bizarre. Did they run out? If I had ordered a bagel(which thankfully I did not), I would have been rip shit. I will definitely come back when in the area and hope for better service. If they had their act together on that front, it would have been a very solid 4 stars.
