You’d think its expensive, because it looks so HIGH END. But you walk in and realize, that while this is not your everyday cheap wears, the price for unique items is at your reach. Staff is lovely, and its a respite from walk on a hot day — not only because of the ac, but because of its airy, bright and won’t kill your wallet (spiking your blood pressure) shopping experience. Lovely. Simply LOVELY. Something for young hot women and us middle aged attempt at fashionista middle agers! LOVELY service.

The most deplorable cold hearted bitch of a saleswoman in the history of clothing stores! In late January I brought in a skirt that my mother had bought my sister for Christmas. On Christmas Day my sister committed suicide. I was hoping they could simply credit my mothers account since the skirt was obv unworn still with the tags. The saleswoman told me «no returns after January 10^th» — not even store credit! I explained the circumstances and that my, now deceased sister lived in California. Her reply? «No returns after January 10^th»
They are a disgusting store and I would encourage people to avoid them like the plague on principle alone. Who treats people that way??? I crumpled up the skirt and threw it at the door. Horrible unfeeling people with crap overpriced merchandise.

Bobbles and Lace in Newburyport (and Andover — I didn’t see Andover on Unilocal) — are both amazing. The customer service is great, every time I go in, the girls are bright, cheery and super helpful. I was in Andover this past Saturday afternoon looking for a dress and matching accessories. The 2 women helping (I forget their names) were SUPER nice and helpful! They dropped what they were doing to look around the store to find me all the styles of dresses I wanted to try in the sizes I needed, even helped custom match a necklace, earrings and a bracelet! I love this place, and will keep going back and recommending to friends — amazing, colorful and super stylish collection that is constantly updated each week. Store is also always need and clean and bright. Thanks again, you girls saved me for the wedding last weekend! :)

Great place for fun clothes and costume jewelry

I saw Bobbles and Lace from across the street and nearly got myself killed running towards it. The outfits in the window displays are adorable and the logo has a bow. This store might have been made just for me.
I walked in and was immediately trapped. They have the jewelry tables set up almost like a barricade– there was one other person shopping and one employee re-​stocking scarves so I could either wait or try to crawl under the table. I just stood there until the other customer moved to another area– the employee could have cared less about allowing me access into the store.
I made my way around the perimeter and couldn’t find anything that interested me. Maybe it was just an off day. But the outfits in the window must have been the last of their kind because I would have gladly tried any of them on. The shoes are displayed in the cheapest looking way possible– all lined up, out of their boxes, basically saying «here, you find your own size. We can’t even be bothered”– I didn’t realize I was in Payless.
The only thing that really interested me was the jewelry. I found a few pieces I liked, but instead of noticing and asking if I needed any help, the employees chattered among themselves. I could feel their eyes on the back of my head and decided to just leave with my money. It’s really a shame, but sometimes the ambiance of a store is more important than the style or price.

This shop is amazing. I thought everything was going to be expensive because, well, it’s a boutique in Newburyport. But everything at Bobbles is actually super affordable, and what’s worse for my wallet, everything is adorable. Much of the jewelry is under $ 15, as are the belts, hair accessories, and even some of the clothing. I picked up several pairs of earrings for next to nothing, as well as an awesome slouchy shoulder bag for $ 50. My friend grabbed a pair of studded pumps for the same price (there is a small but cute shoe collection.) Everything is Forever 21-​cheap but much more unique, and not as likely to break if you so much as sneeze whilst wearing it.
It’s probably a good thing we arrived shortly before closing time, otherwise I would have sold a kidney or two in exchange for more stuff.

After many trips to downtown Newburyport I had yet to be able to step foot in this store, well I’m glad I finally did! I fell in love with so many amazing items! They had items for all different types of people, all different tastes. The prices were reasonable although I wish I could of seen maybe a section in their store with sale jewelry. The girl I spoke with upon checking out was very friendly and pleasant. All in all I will surely go back, for both myself and for friends!
