Best breakfast in NBPT. Right off the rotary tucked in between a hair salon and a printing place is FM station. The best eggs Benedict around and the nicest server/owners try it out they serve breakfast all day

A great find for breakfast. I love the options for vegetarians like myself. The food was fresh and yummy. The service was wonderful and the place was clean. I definitely recommend.

Friendly service, food made from fresh ingredients, great place. The California Benedict with avocado was awesome! I’ll be back. :-)

We were there at 8:30 on a Saturday morning and sat right down. The two dishes were the sausage and Jack omelet and the California benedict. The hollandaise sauce was perfect and this dish included fresh avacado. The sausage and Jack omelet was prepared well and was a perfectly folded square. Both dishes were fresh and the service was very quick and pleasant. The dining area was super clean as well.

Breakfast here was fantastic! From the outside you wouldn’t think twice to grab breakfast here, but the inside is clean and the staff is super friendly and the food is out of this world! My husband got the Brazilian omelet and I got the breakfast burrito — both were very tasty and the ingredients were very fresh. I wish I lived in the area bc it would be my breakfast spot!

Tucked away and fairly difficult to find, but SO worth it. I had a delicious fruity pancake stack with homefries, bacon, and eggs over medium. I like to judge a good breakfast place based on how well the bacon is cooked(Crispy, but not crunchy) and how perfect they can cook an over-medium egg. They nailed it! Very small place, very local with tons of regulars and travelers waiting on the nearby commuter rail station. You might have to wait for a table, but it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re passing through town.

Just tried it for the first time, but not the last. Great food and fast, friendly service. Small, homey place. Just like I like it. The homemade hash and homemade baked beans are exceptional. The California Benedict was also very good.

Love this place. The food is always good and freshly made. Sometimes it does take a little while that is the reason 4 and not 5 stars but it is a small place that makes it all as you order unlike a lot of other places that have 400 pieces of bacon and a other common items sitting. The service is usually pretty good with few hiccups. One of the best places around and we have been everywhere. It is tight but who cares, love thy neighbor and get over yourself, no one cares what your talking about.

Yuck is all I have to say about Fm Station. Came here this morning before a trip into Boston on the commuter rail. A friend recommended Fm because it is right next to the train and convenient. I sat at the bar for a quick omelet which took a bit longer than I’m used to, nearly 30 minutes. Simple to make, ham and cheese omelet for about $ 9.00. Grabbed on oj and coffee. The oj was a very tiny cup and must have been a couple ounces and expensive. Coffee was $ 2.00 and I only got one cup served which was odd. Thought coffee was free refills but not for me I guess. I had to inhale the food because I only expected to be there 30 minutes but instead was running late for the train and now because the service was terrible. The place was a little busy but not packed. The waitresses kept missing me and as I said didn’t refill my coffee. I’m not one to typically be interested in the wait staff bugging me every 5 minutes but here, the waitress didn’t not even ask if I wanted a coffee refill or how my meal was. Other people at the tables were getting fed much quicker than me, which again was weird. I came in before a table of 4 and am out after they left. How was that possible? Parking is a shared lot with the other businesses so hope you get a parking spot if they are busy. I didn’t see any outside seats although I doubt you would want to because of the location this place is at the Newburyport circle with a lot of traffic down there. Not a lot of space to move around inside so forget about coming here with a group and forget about bringing your kids. this place is more for commuters or business people who are looking for a bite to eat. although I dont’ recommend the breakfast. haven’t been here for lunch and probably wont. either. I don’t’ recommend Fm as a place to visit for breakfast because if its busy and you are seated at the bar stool, don’t expect to get out of there quick and expect that others will finish before you after they have been seated after you. I suggest going to another place cheaper and better service. It was loud there too. So loud I couldn’t hear the train outside.

So quick, easy and delicious! I got the veggie burrito but as a platter. It was so fresh and a lot of food. I was definitely full for hours. The Green tea was organic which I appreciated and the waitress was so quick and friendly. WE went back the next day for breakfast but it was closed. Highly recommend; however they don’t serve booze, so not a good brunch place.

The breakfast we ultimately received was good, not great. I think as far as omelettes go it was extremely skimpy. 3 pieces of portabella mushroom in a portabella mushroom omelette for 8.99. Not really what I want to discuss. We arrived and sat in the seats at the window bar. Although the place was full the waitresses, passed by us several times, not once asking if we wanted coffee, offered menus or even a glance. Finally we waived her down, her blank, vacant stare was the start of our experience about 15 minutes after we arrived. So we did eventually get coffee and place our order. We waited over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Once the food was tossed on the table, we never saw the waitress again, she never checked if we needed coffee or anything. I got up and went to the counter where she was standing to ask for more coffee and our check. We observed two parties come in and sit down, then they got up to leave because the servers are just totally clueless when it comes to how to serve and greet guests. So the quick breakfast we were trying to achieve actually took up about 90 minutes of our time which really was a lot of time for some ok tasting food. It seems like it could be a very successful business but the owners need to get wait staff that is engaging, quick and able to hustle. The kitchen cooks need to perhaps step it up a notch to move the food out quicker. Good luck and try harder to get some capable staff and I think the place would do a lot better.

Met an old friend from high school here for breakfast right after the new year. I had my three year old son and she had her six year old son. The place is a little small inside but we were able to get a table. I arrived before my friend and my son was hungry, so I asked the waitress if she would bring him some toast while we waited — she was happy to do so. She was also very patient as he changed him mind twice about what he wanted to drink. We all ordered pretty standard breakfast fare: eggs, bacon, home fries, toast. I also ordered a side of grilled vegetables which was a welcome surprise to find on the menu and also very tasty. The home fries were delicious. The bacon was well cooked — crispy but not burnt — and the eggs were all cooked to order(our orders ranged from over medium to over hard and we all got what we asked for). The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. You can’t ask for too much more than that!

I decided to head over to this hidden gem with friends on a whim. And I’m so glad I did! I don’t think I’ve had a better Eggs Benedict… ever. The place is small and cozy, the service excellent and food wonderful. We will definitely be back to try more delights! The Coconut pancake special looked awesome, too! I’ll be trying that next.

I have been to this restaurant four times now. The first two times wowed me, the last two were meh. The reason for my score is that for my first two visits, the owner was cooking. This guy is phenominal with food, but unfortunately he started training someone else to cook. This new person just isn’t good. Both of my last two breakfasts were slightly over cooked(everything!). The last time I was there, I saw why. He kept leaving the grill to go in the back room. Absolutely no care shown toward the food. I won’t be going back until I hear the owner is cooking again. So sad.

I went here with my friend(she’s in Dover and I’m in Beverly) for a halfway breakfast. It is JUST as good as the other reviews say. I had the most incredible blueberry coconut pancakes and both of us had home fries that were done to perfection. I would definitely go again. Only downside is actually FINDING the place. GPS doesn’t recognize the address… try going to the end of state street, getting on the rotary getting off on the exit across the guard rail from Minuteman Press and then finally taking the turning lane back towards it. Delicious… worth the difficult entry.

Stopped in at the station for the first time today for breakfast. Food was outstanding ! Healthy Greek Omelet was fresh and tasty. The breakfast potatoes herbal, warm with just a little bit of crunch. I have been looking for a good quick and delicious breakfast place in Newburyport for some time now and am glad I finally found it. Deducted 1 star due to prices but I am willing to pay an extra couple of bucks for a fantastic breakfast!

Came here today for breakfast. There are around 11 tables, seats 38. You’re almost elbow to elbow here between tables but this is also not a place where you stay for a long time. This FM Station Restaurant is a quick drop in place to eat — on the run. It’s too small for large parties and kids running around. The meal prices are typical for this area of Newburyport — range for an average breakfast $ 8 to $ 12. On this visit I ordered their pile up or works breakfast(can’t remember exact name) but it was 2 eggs scrambled, 3 sausage links, home fries, 2 French toast, and 1 small OJ for about $ 14. Coffee included. My guest had the 2 meats meal. Total cost for the two just about $ 25. A bit pricey and I think we may have been charged for the coffee. The OJ was a small 4 ounce for $ 2. I can buy a bag of oranges for less and squeeze more juice. Quality of food was good. Didn’t have a plate full of greasy food. So, I’ll accept the expensive bill for little to no grease. Taste was better than average. Quantity was weak but enough to fill stomach and probably because of little grease. All in all, had a better than average experience here. I would recommend as a quick place to eat breakfast.

I so wanted to give this hidden gem five stars but there is just one tiny little flaw that gnaws at me which I will get to at the end of this review. Let’s start with everything else that is terrific. First off, I have never seen an omelet so perfectly rectangle. The care taken in its design is reflected throughout. The fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned egg and cooked exactly the way I like it(a bit well done with a hint of brown). The bacon is cooked perfectly for me anyway. Not burnt crispy(though they will do it that way if you like it) and not undercooked either. Coffee is better than most and the service is attentive. Even the home fries(which I don’t normally eat) are better than most as they are seasoned and are of the red bliss variety. I have heard the French toast with caramelized bananas are excellent and the coconut blueberry pancakes look outstanding but have not had the pleasure because I keep ordering those wonderful omelets. Okay, here’s the thing. The chef uses a big tub of butter to butter the toast that tastes like margarine. I wish they had a website so I could suggest strongly they break down and get Land o’ Lakes or something similar. If they do that, this place is a homerun!

FM Station is the best breakfast place on the North Shore. Located on the West side of the Route 1 traffic circle across from the court house, they serve all of the usual breakfast fare; eggs, panacakes, waffles, etc. And all of those are great. But what makes FM Station stand out are the specials that are listed on the big white board. French Toast stuffed with camelized bananas and the Berry Explosion pancakes with a special sauce are both great. The eggs over easy(done perfectly), the home fries, the breakfast sandwiches, the blueberry pancakes all are a cut above any other place I have been. The prices are reasonable, the place is clean and the service is friendly. Combine that with the great food and you have a winner.

After the closing of our favorite breakfast place in Newburyport, my wife and I decided to check our this place. Very bright, clean, and the aroma from the kitchen was amazing. We were greeted promptly by a very friendly server who raves about all the selections on the Specials board equally. We had a custom built omelette and a Brazilian omelette off the specials board. WOW!!! I think we found a new spot. Enjoy this wonderfully tasty and tastefully appointed gem. Bön appetit!!!
