Minh Tailors

Minh’s Tailor is run by a pleasant and skilled woman named Gabrielle. She is very fairly priced (I believe she charges $ 14 for hemmed pants with a several day turn around, or $ 20 a pair for one day turnaround) and does very good and dependable work. I sew as a hobby at home and I can say that doing a good hem on a pair of pants or skirt is easily worth the time of $ 20, especially jeans. All my items are always ready when she says they will be ready. She once hemmed a complicated, several layered A-​line satin and silk wedding dress I had for only a very reasonable price and did a beautiful job. Just make sure you communicate clearly when you have to pick up the item by and confirm she will be in for pick up.

Minh is the best! She’s super sweet and did a quick alteration for me for a very reasonable price (I think it was around $ 10 for a shirt hem). Highly recommend!

A bit pricey, but I got what I paid for. Had extensive work done on a jacket, and the care was evident in the alterations. Will go back.

I have gone to Minh for years… getting pants hemmed and dresses alter for my daughter’s prom. I went in yesterday to have my Mother of Bride dress altered and was so taken aback by how RUDE Minh was to me. With out getting into details, she changed her quote for the work and I questioned her, which led her to very aggressively start ripping all the pins out of my dress. I asked her to calm down and stop and she would not. I stepped back and told her to leave the pins and I would go and she then told me she would charge me $ 50 for the pinning time. I said I would not pay that and she continued to rip the pins from my dress. I was shaken by this experience and told her I would never come back. She did not seem to care. I am not sure what her problem is but I would highly recommend NOT going to Minh as she seems to be very hostile!

I found Mihn very expensive, which I would have been more than willing to pay if the work matched the cost. But I found the work sloppy. I had sleeves shortened on one blouse, and they came back different lengths (and my arms are the same length, which I know because I went and checked!). The other alteration, another shirt, was also sloppy, similarly uneven from one side to the next with jagged lines that don’t lay flat and fabric that now buckles and bubbles. I will not go back.

I’ve been using Minh tailor for years! She always does fantastic work I’m always pleased!
