If you are looking for unique, quality furnishings and décor you must go to the Red Bird Trading company. Over the years I have traveled from Kennebunk Maine to Newburyport in search of something special for my home and they never disappoint. The owner Carrie has unbelievable Good taste when it comes to buying for her shop. She has been extremely helpful and has given so much of her valuable time to assist me. Every time I go there I find the décor refreshed with something new to feast your eyes on.
I have purchased a carpet, sofa, a chair, Moroccan end tables (which she had custom made for me), Lighting and lots of decorative items. I have also found the staff knowledgable and helpful.
Their upholstery is 8-​way hand-​tied springs! and kiln dried hardwood frames, which are hard to find at their price point today. Quality, quality, quality!
I sing Red Bird’s praises to everyone and I highly recommend their other shops (Wish Basket and Nola).

This store is just amazing! Beautiful furniture — and very, very chic décor. I have furnished my entire home with merchandise from Red Bird and Wish Basket — the owner also visited my home to give me suggestions and tips. Wonderful store with wonderful helpful staff!

Why so unfriendly? Seriously? I can buy a lot of the clothes they sell here at Nordstrom. I went in this morning after a nearby haircut to check out the selection of Free People that I had noticed on an earlier quick drop in. TWO salespeople were present: neither bothered to say hello to me. In fact, they continued their conversation about hair gel (I wish I was kidding) most of the time I was in the store. Is it really too much to say HI and ask if they can help me find something?

The most unfriendly, unwelcoming people work here. Beautiful home décor but don’t expect to get a hello, a smile or an offer to help you find something. This place needs an employee overhaul! And so does their sister store, Wish Basket.
