We have been using this station for gas and car repairs since we moved here in 2002. Eli is honest to a fault — he does not sell you things you don’t need, tell you things that need fixing that don’t, or overcharge for parts. So many times, we will bring a car in and the repair is much less serious and much less expensive than we expect — now when does that ever happen!
We could probably get gas cheaper elsewhere, but loyalty has its rewards. Eli takes care of his loyal customers and by this I mean, when you need something in a pinch, he is there for you, and will bend over backward to make it happen. When we have needed an urgent repair, he has come through for us. He also has advised us that it was okay to hold off making an expensive repair that really didn’t have to be done right away. And more than once he has given my husband a lift home from the garage when he’s dropped off one of the cars.
Honest, talented mechanics who ask after your pets and remember the names of everyone in your family are few and far between. We are fortunate to have that in Eli.

I’ve been going to Eli, the owner of Story Ave Shell, for years now. He’s honest, no-​BS, fix what needs fixing and don’t sell you stuff you don’t. He remembers his customers, and takes care of you. His labor fees are more than fair, and he doesn’t inflate parts prices.
Once you find a good mechanic you trust, you have to spread the word as a public service. Go to Eli – he’ll take care of you!
