I wanted to like this place… The hash browns were swimming in butter flavored oil, the toast covered in the same oil, and not actually toasted. The pancakes are just odd. Very, very sweet. Lots of vanilla and a hint of cinnamon, which sounds good, but tastes like cake batter. Without syrup, they are too dry and cakey, with syrup, much too sweet. I will say the sausage was amazingly good. If I were to go back, I would try biscuits and gravy to go. There isn’t a single comfortable place to sit in the whole restaurant.

Loved the atmosphere! Super cute place, thought it was only a grocery store but saw café on the sign, so we stopped in instead of getting fast food. Grocery area for fresh deli meats, cuts of steak, Amish cheeses, locally canned pickles, jams, jellies, pumpkin butter etc. also funky sodas similar to POPS in refrigerator area. Old-fashioned candies, and a basket of fresh baked buttermilk biscuits by the register! You order food at the counter & sit anywhere you like, your food is delivered to you & drinks refilled by a waitress. Our food was good, my chicken on my salad had no flavor whatsoever — but everything else on my salad was great. The people at the food counter, and the register in grocery area were not the friendliest, they seemed agitated with every question. Other than that, we loved it.

We showed up just as they were preparing to close. We felt bad, not realizing they closed earlier, so we trid to leave. They would not have! They seatd us with a smile on their face and gave us incredible service. The hot link was delicious and i cannot wait to go back for one of their giant burgers. The deli meats, cheese, and other items look delicious as well. The store portion had Amish jams and jellies on hand too! The décor was very country chic with cool old toys and some period style signage. It would be a great place for a quick road trip cruise for car clubs oa nice day!
