J Sisters Salon

A couple of months ago I moved to Newhall and was looking for a great stylist (you know how hard they are to find) I was paired with Samantha and am I ever grateful!!! Color, cut, blow out and get your brows done by her. I also really like all the fun jewelry, purses and gifts! It is difficult to get out of here without picking up a cute and great buy. You have got to go to J. Sisters salon!

Love J Sisters Salon! The atmosphere is so welcoming, friendly and clean. This salon is by far the very best in SCV. Everyone is friendly and sweet, and make you feel like you’ve been friends forever… even though you just met them! The stylists are talented, outgoing, and provide beautiful services. Prices are reasonable and I highly recommend this salon!

April Herrera did my hair today. She was amazing. Super sweet and my hair came out so fabulous. Ombré and a trim. The salon is so cute. I felt very comfortable. Will absolutely recommend!!!

My wife and I started going to Sarah on the recommendation of our hairdresser of many years when she moved to San Diego. My wife was very nervous about going to someone else but now couldn’t be happier. Everyone is very friendly and professional. Owners are great!

Come see Renee for the best and most personalized manicure and pedicure you’ll get. You need to make an appointment because she’s in high demand, but she’s worth it. I have been seeing Renee for over 5 years and would recommend her to anyone.
Renee is professional, warm and welcoming, and just plain fun to be around!
Today she gave me my pre wedding mani/​pedi and as usual it turned out awesome!

We love Michelle. She’s been taking care of us for years — 11 to be exact. She knows how to work with all hair types. I have super thick hair, my daughter has combo hair and a lot of it and my son is super picky. All we do is say, «Michelle, do what you think will look best.» And she doe. WILL NEVER GO TO ANYONE ELSE!!!

I have been a client here for several years. Christine is my personal stylist/​colorist and always does a wonderful job. Salon is always clean and well maintained. Shabby/​Chic. Great salon!

I have been going to Carlynn forever! She is the best of the best! I love her and she always knows exactly what I want! The shop is comfortable and cute too! I moved to West LA and still make the drive to come see her!

Cute little shop, conveniently located off Lyons Ave. Bought a Spreebird coupon for a cut, color, shampoo and style. Learned when I booked the appointment that color meant single process only, NOT weave with foils, and that if I wanted a weave if would be an addtional $ 25. Not a big deal, paid it but honestly a little unfair… this information should have been CLEARLY outlined in the fine print. Anyway, color was pretty good but she only gave me a partial which again was not outlined in the fine print. The stylist (not mentioning any names) had NO personality whatsoever… I mean if you are trying to build your clientelle (after 25 years in the business in SCV… strange) you might want to lighten up a bit and give a little more effort in this area.
The worst part… THE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD! She chopped my hair in short layers on top just like a short 80’s crop style haircut! It has been two weeks and I am still stuck in bad hair day mode! Ugh… this one is going to take more time I’m afraid. Anyone who knows what it is like to have a really bad hair cut that is so short, all you can do is wait it out… it SUCKS! I am so upset! I mean what was she thinking???
Might be a good idea to find someone who is a bit more up with the times next time… she is obviously stuck in 1982. Surprised she didn’t have a can of Aqua Net at her station!

I bought a spreebird deal for a moroccan oil treatment, shampoo, haircut and blowdry for (29.00) from Leanne. I had a good experience. Leanne was sweet and very friendly. The shop is cute and clean. I normally only get a trim and Leanne did exactly what I wanted. I could take or leave the Moroccan oil treatment. I have som Ojon treatment that I bought at Sephora and I love that. It was very similar except the Moroccan didnt have a strong fragrance. Her regular prices are very reasonable too.

The salon is beautiful and the staff is very courteous and professional. My only concern is the price I was charged for a hair cut and weave. WAY too expensive.

i have been coming here to Sherlyn for about a year and a half and i love her and this salon! i have changed my hair style a couple times and Sherlyn always does what i want and i end up loving my hair! the salon itself is really cute and very clean and well maintained. the staff is fun and theres always great girl talk. you wouldn’t expect such a cute place in a strip mall in newhall but its great. ill be coming here for years to come!

I have only gone to 1 girl at this salon, Sherlyn… she is who all my friends, boyfriend, kids etc go to. Super cute salon, very girly and welcoming. I have gotten a couple up-do’s from her and she does a great job! I hate that ‘done’ look, i like it more natural, and she always gets the look I want. A few of my friends get their color done and I always think it looks great :) The only downside might be the location, because it is in a strip mall, but you’ll always find parking, it just might be a little compact.

I’ve never been much of a salon type of guy, but my girlfriend said the barber made me look too military… a few of my buddy told me to go to J Sisters, and see Sherlyn. I got my hair cut and washed, and she made me feel comfortable, and I left looking and feeling amazing.
I go in every 3 – 4 weeks, and she’s also colored my hair now, and has even squeezed me in with only a few hours notice a couple of times! I’ve also taken both my son & daughter to her, and have never been anything but happy.
Overall, the service, the staff, and the experience have me and my friends coming back over and over!!!

I can’t vouch for the other girls, but Nicole is the best colorist in SCV. I’ve had people in West L.A. compliment me on my color and I always tell them to come here and ask for Nicole. They can’t believe I didn’t get it done in Beverly Hills!
