You will love Newman if you:
1. Speak Spanish as your primary language,
2. Have zero desire to spend time amongst things like trees, clean air, etc.
3. Like the smell of broccoli, hair perm, and other various odors constantly filling the air.
4. Don’t mind driving least an hour to do anything cultural or educational.
On the plus side housing is cheap and there are a lot of employment opportunities (well, for non-​citizens of the US at least)

Modesto, CA
I travel through this city quite a bit in my job. They have some very nice shops here and some excellent restaurants. It’s a friendly town, clean and easy to get around in, unlike Patterson with all of it’s confusing roundabouts.
Like Patterson, Newman has easy access to I-​5 which is nice when I’m in a hurry to get home.
