Oh how I love this store… it’s gorgeous and it calms me just to walk in the door. The sales peeps let you look in peace and I always find tons of stuff I would just lurve to buy… if I were a rich girl that is. Since I’m not a rich girl, I look and get tons of design inspiration. Oh. I’ve bought the odd candle here and there over the years and I’ve picked up a few things on sale after the holidays but as for everything else in here… it’s just for me to look at and… dream on baby… dream on.

Run for your life !!! Oh, how they talk a good game but their design services are truly less than adequate… ok, let’s be truthful, simply sophomoric. If it’s in a catalogue then they can order it, but as for vision, they kept complimenting me on my suggestions and saying ’ good idea, let’s do that’. Yes, their showroom is beautiful, but Mr. Butera must have created it as the designers they gave me must have done their creative training on-​line. Dated, tired designs that were popular 10 years ago, and didn’t fit into a modern home. No thought; no flair; no intelligence… try other design firms or trust yourself, or you’ll end up with what looks like the high-​end version of Target (or Sears). Over rated, under qualified and mid-​level taste is a compliment.

I had read many wonderful things about Barclay Butera online. He is very experienced and his press is amazing. I decided to go into his Newport Beach location and get some ideas on my new residence and instead I ended up furnishing a few rooms! This place is amazing. Only the best design services. The staff is friendly and warm, no snobby attitudes. I loved every minute of my experience and I especially love all of my new custom furnishings.
Since the furniture is custom it does take a few weeks to be delivered and installed but you really don’t have to wait any longer than ordering from Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel… plus… you have something original that none of your neighbors will have.
If you really want a ravishing living room or bedroom be sure to go to Barclay Butera. I worked with Ray and Kristin and they were absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to start another room!
