I’m sort of afraid to write this review, because I don’t want anyone else to discover it! Like I’m the first one to visit the beach haha. Love this beach. It is so large, from the street to the water it must be 500 or so feet. I’m not the best at estimating distances but it is pretty far. Sand is clean, I saw no garbage anywhere. Water was cool and refreshing. I didn’t think it was any dirtier or cleaner than any other stretch of water you will find in Southern California. I didn’t see any trash in the water, that’s my main concern. Sadly, truly clean ocean water only exists in places like Norway. Anyway, it is a really beautiful beach with great views of the sunset and surrounding area. I went on a Sunday around 6 pm and it wasn’t crowded in the least.

I was looking for a quick way to get to the beach and get out. I think this was a good spot. I pulled right into a local parking, walked maybe 1 – 2 minutes, and there was a nice small private beach for the kids. If they get tired of the beach there is a small park near by.

4-stars for the views, ez access if you score a parking at the end of Seashore drive. 3-stars for sand quality & cleanliness. 2-stars for water quality issues, but I don’t come here to swim. Come here to enjoy the Ocean sounds, View of Catalina Island, an awesome Sunset!, people watch, but think twice about swimming here. This area is below the mouth of the Santa Ana River. I like this area since it’s not congested with a nearby Pier, or large parking lot on the beach. Go on a Sunny clear day for the best view of Catalina Island, and an awesome Sunset!
