Nailed It Salon

I have never had such an awful experience at a nail salon. I told them I wanted a full set with gel polish. She tried convincing me to only do gel and then said, «But it’s up to you.» I picked a full set… She had told me another set would just damage my nails and I thought she was just giving me her sincere advice. I realized she just didnt know what the hell she was doing. I had two ladies working on my nails. One asked the shape I wanted… The other girl starts shaping them… Four square nails later and she says to her coworker «By the way she wants them round.» Then has the nerve to ask me why I didn’t tell her. She asked me so I thought she did her job and communicated. And the one shaping them had a complete attitude with me with me the entire time and was very rough with my fingers. The shape of every nail was completely uneven and screwed up I had to ask the other tech to fix them. They screwed up the polish and got it all over my cuticle so she snipped my cuticle on every finger to fix the polish… It still looks like crap. I look at my nails finished… The shape is still very uneven, polish is spotty… and the worst part… My nails are very bumpy and uneven. I paid $ 65. Worst experience ever. Any time I go out I leave a tip. Even when service is slow. I didn’t leave a tip at this place.

It’s not very often that you come across a nail salon that cares this much about their customers. What really sets them apart from other nail salons is their unprecedented care for the clients, and attention to detail during treatment. For example, I just had a regular pedicure here, and the man doing my nails spent over an hour on my nails making sure everything was perfect. At comparable nail salons in Newport, for the same price, I’d get half that kind of effort.
They always do an amazing job, and ensure that the customer is 100% satisfied with the job. And they even offer a discount for Balboa Island residents.
The salon is spacious, comfortable and clean. Everything and more you could ask for from a nail salon.

Awesome place in the middle of Balboa. My kids got a 15.00 mani/​pedi and I got a GREAT pedi! Same day, lovely women, everything was great. We’ll be back next year for sure!

Great nail salon on Balboa Island! They have new chairs and new décor but the best part was the mani and pedi did not disappoint! Their products smell amazing, not chemical. They are super sweet too!

I’m so glad this place opened on the island. This was hands down the best gel manicure I’ve had in a long time. Very highly recommended! Tanya did my hands and someone else did my feet, and both were courteous and highly professional. Can’t wait to go back.

I too am surprised by the bad review — it almost makes me wonder if it was for the wrong place.
This place is awesome! It is extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff is efficient and friendly. Tanya, the owner, takes extra care to make sure you are comfortable, and she truly cares about the well-​being of your nails.
Bottom line– this place cares so much more about customer service and client relationships that they do about rushing you in and out of the door with a mediocre job. You won’t be disappointed by this place — it is one of the best kept secrets in Newport!

I am really surprised at the negative review because the ladies were so professional and very good. They also spoke perfect English which was nice to be able to communicate with them. My girl friend thought they were great too. And the pedicures were $ 25 which is very competitive pricing, actually low for Newport. Give them a try, you’ll be glad you did!

The décor of this place was cute but the quality was extremely poor. I paid $ 40 for a gel manicure and the polish wrinkled and the thumb polish slid off within hours. These are gels that are supposed to cure within minutes!!! I have been getting gels for a long time and this has never happened. My friend got a new set of gel tips and 3 of her nails broke off in 4 days. She also got poked so hard her nail bed started bleeding. This place is terrible. I haven’t been this disappointed in a very long time and the services are pricey. I do not recommend going here.
