My GF and I came here for Newport restaurant week. They had a prix fixe menu for $ 30 which included salad, pizza, and a dessert. My gf got the salad and I got the caprese, when comparing the two the caprese was much better. For the pizza we decided to get two different ones, the fungi and the pepperoni and sausage, both pizzas were different and had great flavor and the crust was thin and chewy. Lastly for dessert, we had the salted caramel butterscotch pudding. I think that was the main reason why my gf wanted to come here. Overall it was a nice casual date night meal. The place has a good atmosphere, and its not too loud so you can easily carry on a conversation.

I was craving some truly exceptional Neapolitan pizza one Saturday. I found this place on Unilocal and made an early dinner reservation. We arrived for our reservation at 5:30pm. Walking in, I immediately noticed Pizzeria Mozza’s upscale, warm, bustling and friendly vibe. I was also struck by the heavenly smell of Neapolitan cuisine. Seated promptly, breadsticks and water(our choice of flat or sparkling) were brought immediately. We brought a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner, but we almost decided not to open it — corkage is $ 30 a bottle, which I think is a bit steep this far south of LA. After extended deliberation and a consult with our very helpful server, we decided to order two entrees to share, as well as an order of Pane bianco with extra virgin olive oil and the Cauliflower fritti to start. The appetizers came out just as our server was pouring the wine. It looked like precisely what it was — a couple of big chunks of fresh bread, crusty bread with oil. Even knowing that there was a pizza coming shortly, we were starved and couldn’t resist enjoying the delicious bread with garlic-laced melted butter. It was gone in a flash! The cauliflower tasted so good, it was difficult to believe it was actually GOOD for us :-) A pizza as one of our entrees was a foregone conclusion. After looking at some food porn on Unilocal, and a final consult with our waitress, we decided on the Bianca with fontina, mozzarella, sottocenere & sage with sausage added. For the other entrée, we decided on the Chicken alla Diavola — chicken with cipolle, rosemary-smashed potatoes. When our entrees came, I found that the chicken was excellent! I had been dubious about ordering chicken in a place noted for pizza, but I was delighted to have my fears allayed by the wonderful taste of that dish :-) On to the pizza! first up, the crust is doubtless the best Neapolitan style I’ve had in quite a long time. It’s not too crisp, chewy, tangy, tasty, and not too soft. It’s also perfectly cooked both in the middle and at the edges. The sauce is zesty and perfectly seasoned to compliment the toppings without overpowering them. I toyed with giving this place five stars, but that $ 30 corkage fee made me decide to stick with four. Still and all, this is an exceptional venue, and I recommend it highly. I’ll be back! Tip: I noticed the outdoor patio on the way back to our car. It seemed like it would be a pleasant place to eat in good weather.

My husband and I came in for lunch. I am not a fancy girl when it comes to my pizza. I have travelled the US and have had the privilege of eating many delicious pizza’s including one if my favorite places New York! Let’s not forget Chicago home of the deep dish pizza. Hands down this is the most delicious pizza crust I have ever eaten. Oh! The pizza was delicious to! I will definitely return.

Overall a 3.5 experience. Service: great service! When we arrived for our 9p reservation on a Friday night we taken to our Thaler right away. Our server was prompt and cordial. The staff all help out which makes serve prompt and efficient. We never had to ask for more water or for our plates to be cleared off the table because there’s someone around to do it! Food: it’s a solid 3. We ordered watercress salad with avocado and walnut which was just alright. The dressing was very salty and citrusy at the same time! Pizza: specks with pineapple and jalapeño– this definitely has a kick with the first bite as I bit into the jalapeño! The flavoring was good but the pizza was over cooked and so the dough was too dry! Pasta: orecchiette with sauce– pretty tasty but the pasta was definitely undercooked. I didn’t care for it. Dessert menu didn’t look interesting enough to order anything.

Food was good… seriously… just good. Pizza was good… i didnt think it was great… but good… drinks were awesome. Tall white guy with blonde pony-tail was our server and bartender. he was GREAT… everything else was sub-par. Mainly the general manager who was sitting at the front door and didnt greet anyone as they walked in… not even a smile! Super disappointing… the server was running ragged trying to serve everyone as well as bartend… and this GM just sat on his butt and didnt even offer to help! What a poor excuse for a GM… service definitely needs help… oh, and parking sucks too! if it weren’t for our server… i would have given ZERO stars…

Been here before and had a great experience. This time, not so lucky. I order the Brussels sprout pizza. Waiter came back and said they just sold the last one. So then I ordered the Speck with an olive tapenade. It was completely inedible. Super salty. Where after one piece of pizza I felt nauseous. Service was unbelievably slow. By the time we got the waiters attention(my husband had to go up to him) everyone else had basically finished eating. When I told him that the tape fade was extremely salty he said it was because it was the olives… typically salty. I’ve had tapenades before and yes, they are salty, but this was like eating a salt block. Even the crust on the pizza was salty. So then I ordered the Marguerita pizza. Which was fine. Well, that night I got food poisoning. Completely sick. I think it was the tapenade but could have been the other. Either way it was a miserable experience. They got 2 stars because the rest of my party enjoyed their food and didn’t get sick. Very disappointed.

While I do prefer the LA location for the food, this one is not as full and closer to home. Much newer and nicer location, though the food in LA just cannot be beat! I am obsessed with their pizzas and went with the marinara here along with a salad and it was a perfect light and tasty meal. The real winner here is the crust, I don’t know how they get it so light and airy, it really is the one place I can eat an entire pizza for lunch and not feel heavy and tired the rest of the day. Service is exceptional and the food comes out quickly. Too pricey to enjoy all the time, but given the quality, it really is justified and worth trying out at least once!

Un lugar delicioso, sabor de Mario Batali. Pedimos una pizza meat lovers y una lasagna. De postre pedimos un strawberry gelato pie altamente recomendable. Un poco caro pero vale la pena en una ocasión especial.

Our pizza was a bit burnt but we were starving, so I scarfed it down anyway. The bitterness of the crust was a bit much :(Service is on and off — sometimes they’d swing by and other times POOF they’re gone and nowhere to be found. My drink was nothing memorable. I had the cocktail with vodka and some flower infusion… it was under their signature drinks. Barely any alcohol in it which was disappointing and at $ 13 I’d expect some kick out of it. My favorite was the baby kale salad with sardines. Oh! And the tri color salad. The pizza, when not burnt, was actually pretty tasty. Ask for some jalapeño peppers for more of a spicy flair to your pizza(they give it to you sliced and fresh — none of that pickled nonsense). Overall, I’m in zero rush to go back. Yeah, they make a great salad and the pizza was in general good(when not burnt) but inconsistency in quality(and service) is keeping this Unilocaler elsewhere at that price because it can get EXPENSIVE. Thank you ANDY for fixing the charges. For your info, Fresno and jalapeño chili will be charges $ 2 per order. If it wasn’t for Andy we would not come back.
