Wonderful experience! Dr Chen took the time to explain my questions and was very knowledgeable and personable. Loved meatball the pug and was happy to have found Ziggys!

Very friendly employees and Dr. Chen was also great. I hadn’t been able to find an eye doctor since I moved to Southern Cali 3 years ago, I kept going back to my hometown to my old eye doctor instead of finding a new one. Well, I found my new one! Due to my financial situation and limited coverage from my insurance, they helped me figure out my finances so I could afford everything. Thank you!

I was in town for business on 8÷2÷14 and realized I didn’t pack my contacts. I had my optometrist from where I live e-​mail me over my prescription and Ziggy’s Optometry provided me a free sample pack to hold me over for the weekend. Without those contacts I wouldn’t have been able to work and the whole weekend would have been been a big waste of time and money.

Love this place! Friendly staff and Dr. Chen is great. She was very honest about my vision and what I did and did not need as the last doctor I saw told me I needed glasses.
Their hours are great, I was able to get in on a Saturday which is incredibly convenient. The day I went was slow so the doctor and I just chatted for a while after my exam. She has a very fun personality and is just a really cool person in general.

Highly recommend! Dr. Chen is wonderful, you can see she loves her job and she cares about the patients. The staff are always kind and friendly. Dr. Chen walks you through each step and process and asks crucial questions to offer you the best solution for your eyes. I always feel welcomed and cared for as well as a little more educated.

I LOVE this place! I was a habitual «wear my contacts for months and months until my eyes wanna fall off» and when I finally decided I needed intervention, these guys helped me. I now take care of my eyes and see them regularly. I recommend them 100%!

Great experience with Dr. Chen! She’s helpful, provides me recommendations when my first set of monthly contacts weren’t comfortable, and has no problem answering all my questions. She recommended some daily contacts for me and they work out great. She explained to me my vision insurance plan and what it covers. I will probably be back here again for glasses when that time comes.
And they have a cute office pug!

Very friendly staff, very thorough exam, very educational about eye health.

Thankfully, I have great vision, however if anything were to happen, this is the place I would go to. I found this place on Unilocal,and was able to schedule a same-​day appointment for a regular eye exam. The gentleman that attends the reception area was very helpful and understanding.
Once all the paperwork and initial testing were taken care of, Dr. Chen came out of her office and greeted me with a warm welcome. Then she went through all the steps, and took the time to explain everything. She was very nice and made sure that I did not feel like just any other patient. I had some complaints about a minor pain in my right eye, and she quickly determined the cause and gave me a handful of eye drops to take home. Needless to say, I left feeling great, and am a lot better now.
Although I came here for a basic exam that I like to do every couple years or so, I can comfortably say that this place will take care of you whatever your complaints are, and you will rest assured knowing that you will receive nothing but stellar treatment.
Plus, who could say no to a place named Ziggy’s?

This place is AMAZING especially if you are a parent with younger kids. Dr. Chen was great with my daughter, voice was pleasent, very attentive as far as her nervousness and keeping my daughter’s attention span going. Meatball is the cutest dog ever and Renee is awesome. Dr. Chen also was very detailed and involved me as a parent. She explained EVERYTHING! cost was fair and they even offered Healthy Families options which was great =) made me feel like they didn’t have to upsell me if they needed it.

Had another awesome appointment! Love this place, even if I moved far away, this will remain my place

All of the staff are SO NICE! Plus — they’re animal lovers! Meatball, the pug is always there to welcome you! Dr. Chen makes you feel so comfortable and remembers EVERY little detail about your vision. It’s impressive. I won’t go anywhere else from no on. Parking is convenient. Such a huge selection to choose from as far as glasses and sunglasses.
You won’t get better service anywhere else.

My husband and I looked up this location up on our provider list to get our eyes checked and obtain a new prescription for my hubby. We loved the location and website… Meatball was so cute! We have two dogs and live in Newport so we figured with the location we’d make a walk out of it from the Peninsula to Lido. Staff is great! VERY friendly and you feel at home… they let our two dogs, Sandy and Juno, come in! All of the dogs togegther were very well behaved and Meatball is a very good greeter. She loved playing and laying near our dogs.
Dr Chen is very warm, inviting, personable and knowledgable. We can’t wait to do our yearly eye checks now! And yes, Ziggy is there as well. Great classic local business.
We love supporting our local businesses. We also love that they welcome us .even with dogs! When you make your appointment, Renato is very polite as well. Your first call is also an enjoyable experience.
