The bar is a fun local place with a neat patio but the bathrooms smell AWFUL!!! You can smell it from different parts of the bar even. Nasty!!! Please take care of the putrid smell…

Marti was so friendly and my friend Mary and I had a great time. Mary’s daughter was here last week and said they had a great time. Jeanie and jebny were working that night and made them feel so welcome. This will be my favorite place when I am in town.

A perfect Sunday afternoon… great selection of brews on tap all at happy hour prices, NFL playoffs on TV with the sound turned off because local musicians were having their weekly jam. Great tunes. Definitely a locals bar but nearly everyone in the place initiated a conversation with us. I felt like I was home at my own pub with friends. Definitely will make sure to drop by any Sunday I’m in Newport.

Waiting for a table at a local restaurant, we decided to take a walk down the street and grab some beers while we waited. Hopped in about 6:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. The place was pretty empty save for a couple locals smoking out the front door. Local fishermen, probably just getting off work and heading for a pint.
Bartender was friendly, willing to let us take a couple sample sips while figuring out our pints, and generally happy to please.
The beer was as expected (I had a Rogue Dead Guy Ale which tasted EXACTLY like Rogue Dead Guy Ale), others had different selections including a rump-​kicking pint of Maibock.
Four of us in and out for $ 12, such a deal. Decent place. I may come back next time I’m on the coast and see if I can catch some of their live entertainment.

This place is a riot! My other half and I stopped into this local dive bar after escaping the awful Rogue Brewery when visiting Newport recently. We were cold and wanted beers– this place was right there so we went in. What a great discovery!
First, there was a fun and lively band on stage and the players were all in their fifties, clearly locals just jamming for fun, and the crowd watching were all their family, friends, and other colorful Newport natives. They were all so friendly and fun! We sat at the bar and enjoyed some cheap, tasty beers and chatted with several folks and we found ourselves just sitting back and smiling, taking in the scene before our eyes.
This bar has a pool table, small stage, tons of tables, a large bar, and the usual dim lighting. Service was spot-​on and quick, prices cheap. We loved this place and will definitely return on our next visit to Newport.

Best dive bar in the world!!! In my opinion that is. We went to bay haven for the first time last year on vacation and were so looking forward to coming back this year on our trip. The bar did not dissapoint! The people there are all very friendly and the bar tenders are super nice. They have great deals on drinks, like crazy cheap! I think at happy hour the beers were 1.75, and that’s for darn good beer! Not sure about the other stuff but people seemed to be drinking it all up so it must have been a decent deal. This is for sure our favorite bar in Oregon!
