Super great book store! So nice to be able to pick up a book and browse through it. Great selection of mysteries, and my favorite, photo and design books.

What a great find! My girlfriend is a huge book lover– was an English major in college and can’t get her hands on enough reading material. However, I stopped in here with her one day(not a big reader myself) and even I fell in love with the place. There is a huge selection of books that really suck you in. There is no online database or strict organization so you really just have to dive in and browse, which makes visiting the store an experience in itself. The owner is so kind and encourages browsers. I love how he gives you a bookmark with every book purchase, very nice touch. He plays beautiful piano music and has globes and cozy chairs scattered throughout the store. A bookworm’s heaven. You also can’t beat the prices. My girlfriend was so excited to get all of the Millennium Trilogy books for $ 12 one afternoon — what a lucky discovery! The 3 books would run about $ 10 each in a chain bookstore. We love this bookstore and love visiting often. Because you never know what you’ll find it is so much fun to stop in once a week or so and see what’s new on the shelf.

Although I’ve lived on the island my whole life, I didn’t end up here until fairly recently. It’s a great place to buy and sell used books. Several times I’ve brought huge bags of books in. The owner goes through them and will accept most of them(provided they’re in good condition). Then you can take cash or store credit… of course I get store credit so I can get more books. They have such a huge selection for a tiny place that it’s overwhelming. You could spend hours in there. The books are priced fairly and you can find a lot of newer books that would cost so much more at Barnes & Noble. One of the biggest draws of this place(other than all the books of course) is the private lot behind it, since parking is always difficult to find in Newport.

I’ve been coming here with my dad for 17 years! There’s a great selection, really reasonable prices, plentiful parking and the owner is just as nice as can be. You can often get 3 or 4 books in perfect condition for the price it would cost at any Barnes & Noble. Plus, you can’t beat the neighborhood for finding a nice place to get a cup of coffee and read your n

Any time I visit Newport stopping here is a must. I typically always walk out with some beautiful books at a good price, the music that plays in the background is fun, and can be kind of trippy at times. Parking in the back is a huge plus! This store always reminds me of the book store on Neverending Story for some reason. Love it!

I’ll never live long enough to read all the books I have and those I want to get but I still can“t resist buying more when I go to a great little spot like this used book store.

They also have a couple shelves of nautical books. I’m gradually transplanting it to my living room at home. For a small, used book shop they have a remarkable selection. If you’re looking for a particular title, check here first before you go to a big-box store — you might find the book for half price.

A Newport tradition, I first visited this shop six or seven years ago and it has not changed much since then. You will find your mass market books, popular titles as well as some true gems and collectables. I picked up a History of Freemasonry book from 1927 there today for ten dollars and I am thrilled with it.

Great bookstore. Used book shops are hard to find these days so I was pleased to find this gem on my last trip to Newport, RI. The prices are very fair and they have a large selection.

This is a gem of a used bookstore. Somehow, they always seem to have the book I’m looking for. As well, they are constantly buying books so the new fiction tables in the back always have the latest and greatest in terms of what’s on the must read bestseller lists. Many times, I have purchased books here that my friends paid 3 x as much for at the chain bookstores. You can stay as long as you’d like to peruse the selections. Great place, a must visit!

I like this place a lot. Aside from being cheap, it has the ambiance of a creepy little bookstore, full of things no one will ever buy and weird old men. There’s a worthwhile poetry section that I found some gems in, a decent music section, as well as art history. There’s a thrift shop next door so you can’t beat the dual convenience that is purchasing a classic read and a porcelain unicorn.
