Let’s start out at a 3 star average. +1 for the garage. Easy and inexpensive. As others have mentioned, you can even park here to avoid the mess of downtown during games. +1 for the river view and access to Purple People bridge. –1 for the business offerings. I don’t particularly enjoy any specific vendor at the Levee, but I love the views and walking across the bridge. A lot of people come for the AMC, but every time I’ve gone to it you could hear the next theater’s movie during quiet moments. That can quite ruin a good film. Food offerings I would file as tolerable, but it’s a nice spot to bring visitors.

The main reason we come here is for parking for the Bengals games. It is so reasonable — $ 3 on Sundays during the game, and the TANK picks up and drops off right in front on the curb. If you’re hungry before or after the game there are so many options! We keep walking by Redondo Tacos. Definitely will have to try this restaurant next time! Parking is easy and reasonable!

Came here for the Taste of Newport this Fall. $ 3 for pretty decent sized samples from restaurants at The Levee? Yes please! It was a pretty small affair but I got to try some of the places I’d never frequented before. The Levee itself it’s much to write home about. I think people mostly come here for AMC or the Aquarium. The whole shopping part of this place doesn’t seem to have ever really taken off and there’s also not much if any nightlife. This place is great in the summer months because it provides easy access to the riverfront for the many festivals like the Italian and Goetta fests. I agree with many reviewers they will need to step it up now that Cincinnati has The Banks!

My husband always wants to stop here when we head to Cincy but I don’t know why. We always just end up wandering. It’s a nice place to head to if you’re staying in downtown Cincy because you can pay $ 1 and take a trolley across the river to Newport. Otherwise, I could really take it or leave it. They need more business inside the building where the movie theater is though.

Do you want to go to a movie, get a bite to eat, go for a walk, listen to music and even dance? Well, the meeting place should be Newport on the Levee in Newport, KY. I often meet with a group to start outside the aquarium and take a 5 mile loop hike from Newport to Covington to Cincinnati through the new parks along the river and back across the Purple People Bridge. In the summer, there are weekly outdoor concerts right outside the aquarium on Thursday nights from 7 – 10. Enjoy ice cream, or browse through the book store. Many restaurants have outside dining that allows for you to enjoy the Ohio River as you dine. Just love this place and more is building within the city of Newport.

Got a chance to enjoy the atmosphere. Bought some Buddha statues and gems from this hippie like shop and checked out the Sports Pro Shop. Every shop we went into was very friendly.

OK ready for it? I think Newport on the Levee is better than The Banks. *insert gasps here* There is so much to do here day or night. A little bit of something for everyone. In the Sumner they host many festivals/events. Neat lights at Christmastime. There’s entertainment venues, food, and a little bit of shopping. No place better to take in the river and Cincy skyline!

Great views of Cincinnati’s skyline! Many benches to sit around. Unfortunately, not the best restaurants, nothing outstanding to eat there. Great opportunities for some fun stuff: bowling, cinema, Ride the Ducks and Aquarium.

The Levee has a lot to offer if you’re wanting to catch a movie, dinner and maybe a few games. The outside part of the Levee is the best feature since it overlooks downtown Cincinnati. I highly recommend visiting the Levee to see the lights at night over the river. Also the aquarium is pretty amazing. But I have to be honest — I don’t come here that much anymore since the parking went up and the vendors/stores have decreased in quality and quantity. If parking were $ 2.00/day or even free — I’d probably go there more often. It’s still worth checking out though even if you only go during summer-festival time.

Super nice area. We went down to see the lights while we were in town and it was impressive to say the least. I loved the open lights and the ease to walk around. I had never been there before but it’s nice how the area is attached to the aquarium and then you can go down by the water as well. We didn’t stay long as it was getting late but I am glad I took my daughter here she really like it.

The levee has so much to do and is a great place to go on the weekends. Just park and walk around to the different restaurants and bars. Of course the candy shop is awesome but just walking around with friend is great too.

Newport on the levee is losing a lot of the hype that it used to have years agos. Now it’s it is just trying way too hard and is way too over priced,. I think that if they had more of an attraction for younger people they would do well but they don’t.

This is a very nice place to sit and eat some ice-cream on the pier just watching barges going north and south in the Mississippi river(Ohio branch of it). I have been here a few times to watch the sunset and night lights of Cincinnati downtown. I find these kind of palaces a true urban cultural boiler pots. While just sitting there and watching different people walking and taking pictures, I learn a lot about the area. This is my favorite place to watch people in Cincinnati area. I would like the river to be a little more clean and more access to river from the Levee but that will come in future. Definitely a place to pay a visit when you are in cincinnati.

«So what do you do for fun in Kentucky?» This sums it up, most bored Kentuckians go here… especially if we want to meet up with our Cincinnatian friends. This also saves us from having to go across the river… sometimes it a scary feat. Filled with plenty of bars for old and young… a movie theater… a comedy club… book store… aquarium… bowling alley… and complete with a mechanical bull. Everyone can find something to do. Parking is easy and is garage or lot. I also like to park here for Reds games… easy walk and cheap parking(plus you can walk off a beer or so in the summer heat on your way back to the car).

I feel bad for the Levee… well kind of. This was the place I always went to because Cincinnati totally lacked anything worthy of my time. However, Cincinnati has stepped up its’ game and now there’s no need to go to the Levee… except for a movie or the Aquarium. There are lots of things going on/places to visit, but I think I’ve grown out of the Levee. It’s nice to go because it’s walking distance from some of my friends’ places which is convenient.

The Levee offers a variety of things to do and has an awesome view of the Cincinnati skyline. Shopping, restaurants, bars, bowling alley, video game bar, movie theater, comedy club, night club and the Newport Aquarium can all be found here.(Plus more that I’m sure I’m forgetting to list.) If you can’t find something fun to do here, there is something wrong with you. Period.

I think Newport on the Levee gets a bad rap. Word to the wise don’t come here on a Friday night. Other than that I think this place is great! We usually see a matinée movie or go for drinks on one of the amazing patios. The parking is cheap and you can leave it overnight and not worry about anything. I love coming here, the aquarium is nice too. Make sure to get the coupons. It’s a bit expensive. Also here’s a tip: Newport on the Levee has a passport book at the information kiosk that has tons of coups in it for almost every biz. Scoop that up and take a look. It’s a great place for kids, familys, couples, or really anyone!

At first glacé, Newport on the Levee looks awesome, but up close it’s a little sad. It reminded me of Easton in Columbus if it ever lost major interest. The whole inside mall area was a ghost town except a few shops and Gameworks. The outside area is more bustling with restaurants, bars, and the Aquarium. There’s also riverboat access, Haufbrau House, and LOTS more bars. BEing there in the afternoon, I cannot comment on the night life. Not a bad place by any means, but I am sure there are many more interesting locally owned places to visit in Cinci or Newport.
