Breakfast place that is consistent and solid good. We had omelets and pancakes that were tasty and well cooked. We had a waffle come out cold, but those are had to time and we immediately had a hot one to replace it. The Skillet breakfasts are good. Huge portions and a good value for they money. Service was good, and it was a busy weekend. Will go again before we leave. Next trip just as good.

Went this past Sunday. Great value for what you get. I had the Dungeness crab eggs Benedict, my husband had pancakes, our 3 year old had chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was made well, tasted good, and came in a timely fashion even though it was busy. I also had a single mocha and it was larger than expected. Definitely recommend.

Hubby loved the pancakes, so many covered the plate he had to take some home. I had the crab benedict, very good, I just wish it would been bit hotter. We will defiantly be back for breakfast again.

Really flat, thin waffles. Sausage patties taste fake/frozen. Eggs were undercooked. Great waiter, lousy food.

Hands down one of the best places we have ever had breakfast!!! Very friendly staff and food was high quality and homemade. Will keep this place at the top of our list when we visit Newport again.

Super impressed with the service! No wait time for anything! They are on top of everything. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive! I watched how they all just pitch in and take the initiative to get everything done or turn over a table. Fine working oiled machine they have here! Food wise i had the kielbasa skillet, yum but came out warm not hot! My kid had a strawberry crêpe and devoured it. This will be our normal breakfast spot when we are in Newport crabbing! I came on a Sunday morning around 10! Our server was Hailey! Cool building on the outside, do wish they would bring that charm on in the inside!

Sooo. Good. Eggs Benny and strawberry waffles. This is the place to be on the coast for breakfast, your tummy will thank you.

Friendly service and great food. The crab Benedict here is a favorite for me now. Their sourdough pancake option is a good way to go too if you like sourdough. A lot of options for you to choose from at good prices.

I WASGONNAMAKE A GRIZWOLDFAMILYJOKEHERE. BUTITWASWAYTOOHAMMY…=D Ok all jokes aside, this was a great little spot to stop for breakfast on the way home. We figured we kept passing them from time to time so we ought to stop in. Pleasant surprises await. Lots to choose from both on the adult and kids menus. My son got a breakfast staple of chocolate chip pancakes, and a side of bacon. Both gone before we knew it. So that was a winner to say the least. My daughter, who tend to not like breakfasts, tried the silver dollar pancakes. Now this kid USUALLY only likes them from the original pancake place, but LOVED these. I have yet to figure out what the big flavor difference is yet, but im determined. I went with the taco omlet. Taco seasoned ground beef, olives, onions ect. Served with salsa, sour cream and guac. All in all, not bad, i would order this again. I had a choice of hash browns and toast, or 4 pancakes, i chose the hash. Cooked perfectly. The wife was craving blueberry pancakes and this place did not dissappoint. They were cooked perfect, great flavor, and a large portion. She was happy, which meant i was happy. Be warned, this place gets busy fast, but seriously, we had a great meal. Service was good, prices fair, portions excellent. I cant complain. We will stop here again when nearby.

Best breakfast place around! We’ve only ever been to the one in Lincoln City but the Newport location was great as well. The food was good but I wouldn’t call it spectacular. Five stars, for me, should really blow me out of the water. The service, however, was FAST. It was like they had some stealth communication system between employees. Just as I was about to drink the last sip of water, someone was standing at the table to fill it. Excellent service and good food.

Came here recently for breakfast while on vacation. The place was hopping, the servers were scurrying here and there, dangerously almost spilling drinks on another customer. The interior is cute, and the bathroom is clean. We got seated rather quickly. I had the crab eggs benny, it was good, not great. My son and husband had the chicken fried steak, it was good. My other son had a waffle, good also. We probably should’ve had the pancakes instead. Coffee was more expensive then it should be, and we could barely get a refill with our meal. Lots of the staff spent a chunk of time setting up for a large party of people. We might go back, but it would not be our first choice though.

Granted, they were very busy, but having worked in the business myself, that’s no excuse for the slow and inattentive service. Bunch of staff standing around chatting together long after were seated. Really felt ignored. Juice ordered came after food came. They seemed more concerned about a 13 party than getting to us, who were seated first. Asked for a coffee refill; had to practically physically stop a server with a pot to get it. Food: pecan pancakes were wonderful, as were the hash browns. But I ordered the eggs Benedict with Dungeness crab and the poached egg was way over cooked and the English muffin was nearly raw. We ordered a side of toast; came barely toasted and cold. Kicker is when the cashier asked if everything was satisfactory and I replied no, she didn’t ask for details or express regret that we weren’t pleased with our experience. Why ask if you really don’t want to know? Shame.

The Pig n’ Pancake is the place to come for a delicious breakfast served in a fun, family friendly atmosphere. There’s a small gift shop in the front of the restaurant, and all of the staff were friendly and inviting. The price is reasonable considering the hefty portions and delicious food! The eggs and hash browns were good, but the bacon, sausage links, and pancakes were awesome. Thick cut bacon, tasty sausage, and sweet, fluffy buttermilk pancakes. Yum! Plus, this place has an option besides maple syrup: triple berry syrup, which was excellent. And to whoever said the food was cold… Nope! Everything was piping hot.

I bet this is a good breakfast spot. I came for dinner — big mistake. The whimsical exterior with the pig characters didn’t carry through to the inside of this diner which was plain and uninteresting. I ordered the chicken dijon dinner and a marionberry milkshake. The chicken came with mashed potatoes & gravy and steamed veggies. Everything was okay in a below-average way. The milkshake was decent but too light in berry flavor and definitely much too expensive(over $ 5) even though they provide the tin too. My chicken plate arrived and the plain thin slab of coated chicken seemed to taste rather plain. It took me a few minutes to flag down someone to ask where was the«dijon» part of this chicken dijon. I was soon provided with a small condiment cup of honey mustard. Service was substandard, most likely due to inexperience. As I previously mentioned, it might be good for breakfast but skip dinner.

The loss of three stars is attributable to cold food. This is an amazing place filled with an abundance of employees attempting to overcome a critical design flaw — the kitchen is too far from the customers. The«ants» in blue shirts are scurrying about, inefficiently, to accomplish an impossible task — fresh, HOT, food delivered efficiently to customers. If you want to view a logistics conundrum — come in, take a seat, have a cup of coffee and observe. There is plenty of flavor our garden omelette, hot cakes and toast — destroyed by the«cold’ toast and cakes. The queen ant needs to rethink this model.

Had a great breakfast from here this morning! Eggs, sausage and buck wheat pancakes for one, eggs, bacon and biscuits and gravy for the other. We both left food on our plates and left very full. Service was great, seated right away, order taken promptly and food came out nice and warm. Be prepared on a weekend you may have a wait because while we did not have to there was a wait when we left.

Traveling in the area and wanted to get a good honest breakfast and looked at some of the reviews for this restaurant. It does live up to its reputation as the best breakfast restaurant in Newport. I had the eggs Benedict which was fantastic, instead of the thick pieces of ham I am accustomed to at most breakfast restaurants they had thinly sliced ham atop an english muffin, poached egg and tons of Hollandaise sauce. This combination made a fantastic eggs Benedict !! Our whole family enjoyed breakfast and the prices were quite reasonable. As good as it gets !!
