Riddleview Park

Just went to bring my pup to this park and it appears to be extremely rundown and it was closed in the middle of the day at 3:30 on a Tuesday. Would not recommend driving all the way here. Check out highland dog park instead.

What a great park! It is close to me so it gets extra points in my heart for its walkability. The park is on top of a hill in the little neighboorhood where Newport meets Southgate. The hike up to the top can be a little trying, but its always good to get your blood pumping! Once you arrive at Riddleview park you see a festive sign announcing the park, and a small parking lot with about 10 spaces. The park itself is a little bit higher on the hill, there are no steps but off to the side there is a path cut into the hill that has been mulched over. There is a little bit of something for everyone at this park — basketball court, a new play set, a picnic area, a charcoal grill, a baseball diamond, and lots of room to run around. It also seems to be a little bit of a secret park, so I never see anyone else up here, which is awesome. Definitely will be coming back!
