I love this buffet! It’s my go-to for my favorite place to eat. I’m OCD and not a fan of buffets, but I go when I know the food is being restocked and also eat at the grill. They have Yum-Yum sauce which brings me back to memories of home. The Hot and Sour soup is always hot and food is restocked quite often. This new location is bigger and better and the service is always top notch for me. They always have coupons so take advantage of them!

Food wasn’t half bad until I got a very long hair in my seasoned chicken. I WASDONE! When we complain the lady could only say so sorry so sorry. When I stated we would never be back, she offered us $ 3.00 back off our meal. We told her never mind. We will never be back. Also only half the food marked what it was.

Good buffet. Great sushi selection and huge hibachi. Food is pretty good definitely coming back again.

Visited this Chinese buffet during its grand opening recently and wow, what a disappointment. It’s the newer, shinier, «super» version of Hong Kong Grand Buffet, located in the same strip mall, but in a different, larger location. For all the glitzy adornments and«dazzling» ever-changing LED lights, the place is like Las Vegas with even less soul. I guess they felt they needed to compete with the other Chinese buffet in Newport(in the Pavilion), which offers such Chinese classics as pizza and hotdogs. Now, SHKGB offers those«classics,» too. Being vegetarian and a bit phobic about buffets in general, I opted to order from the menu instead of partaking of said buffet. My go-to favorite at the old Hong Kong Grand Buffet was Sichuan stir fry with tofu, and since it was still on the menu at this new«super» restaurant, it was a no-brainer. And it was AWFUL. It was nothing like the dish I used to get at their old location. It tasted as though they had scooped up vegetables from around the buffet(with no regard to the sauce the vegetables were cooked in) and dumped them onto a plate, threw in some tofu, and served it up after pouring rancid vinegar over it. It wasn’t hot(neither temperature or spice), the veggies were flaccid and rubbery, and certain bites of tofu had an odd hint of peanut butter. Worst of all though was that«sauce.» The dish was swimming in a putrid puddle of vinegar and what must have been used toilet water. It was foul. Never again.
