Target

This is NOT the 1^st time, but 4 or 5^th time in last few months that I have gone into this Target and either the electric scooters are dead or they die in the middle of the store somewhere, When I speak to the manager they always have an excuse, I have been there early morning or mid afternoon and have trouble. Today the manager said «they do not hold a charge» well then it is time to have them replaced. The clerk I spoke to before manager as she turned away she said: whatever” I am not the only senior that needs the scooter and I get the impression they really don’t care.

I love target and am literally addicted to it. This particular target is awesome and the employees are always friendly!

It’s Target, so there’s not much to report other than typical, large selection of clothes, household items, electronics, toys, and even grocery items. Prices are average and they do have a price match policy if you find a better deal online or in print. The workers vary in friendliness and helpfulness. I have never had any trouble returning an item so that’s good. This store can be very crowded on the weekend so try to shop early or late in the day. The Starbucks is a nice java jolt if you need it. The food selection is nothing to brag about but if you are starving, there are some hot food items available (pizza, nachos, etc).

After being shocked to my core not too long ago when I visited a Target near the Huber Heights concert venue that had no Pizza Hut, Starbuck’s or sit down eatery, I was so glad to return to the familiar comforts of the Newport Pavilion location. Clean, usually well stocked (save for the fact that I could not get a newly released Brian Wilson CD the day it came out, or the day after, or the day after that) despite its being a special edition Target release…
Yes, you have the usual Kentucky/​Ohio rabble who will will open packages & begin to consume food from them without paying as they meander through the aisles, but hey, the displays light up as you walk by! The cashiers are friendly enough to ask if you’ve found everything that you’re looking for & as I’ve glanced over the collection of life’s essentials I’ve brought to the Express Lane: some Command sticky strips, a $ 14.99 DVD on the American Revolution & a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, I can only sigh & nod, as I know my plans are to take this collection of randomness home with me, get into bed, turn on reruns of The Big Bang Theory & wonder where I went wrong with my life, while the cute cashier reminds me that because I now have a chip bank card, I have to put it in the slot a different way.
Target is your friend. Do not alienate him. Do walk fast if you happen to see any other friends shooting heroin in the parking lot, though.

Good for quick shopping. They have everything from small grocery corner to furniture :-)

I’d say this is for sure the best Target in the area.
Pros: STARBUCKS!, groceries, clean, and in general just a large selection of everything you may need (and probably a lot of things you don’t need, either — haha!). This is also in a fabulous location, and I keep cursing the shopping center gods for not having this here when I was in high school!
Cons: Sales here goes FAST so get in there on the first day or you risk them being out of your items, they could use an extra checkout line being open most times I’ve been here, and remember that oh-​so-​convenient location I mentioned above? Yeah, it’s the same exit as my house, meaning I’m here way toooo often on my way home from work!
I love this Target!

This target is great. It’s in a perfect location. One down fall is that all of the awesome clothing is gone almost as soon as it comes in. This target has a Starbucks which is awesome! Love!

Dude. This Target is my jam. I walked into an old janky Target the other day and was like WTF. Where is the Starbucks?! And then my hangry caffeine-​ridden self remembered they are not mandatory in all Targets. Whatevs.
So basically what I am saying is this Target is the crème de’la crème of Tar-​geys. It’s clean. It’s new. It’s organized. It has groceries. It’s pretty much the bee’s knees.
If you can make it out of here in under $ 100 — you are my hero.

Like it because it’s Target and has everything you may need.
Don’t like it because the lay-​out confuses me, some areas are really not that tidy and when I had a question on where to find maternity bras once, 4 employees were standing around and reluctantly one of them accompanied me to the right area…

This brand new Target is officially my fave. The layout is pretty instinctive, for once, and their grocery section is really nice. The staff seems to like working there, and their hours are awesome. Being right next to a Kroger doesn’t hurt either — you can run all your errands in one place.
The only downfall is the one that usually comes with Target. you probably can’t get out without spending $ 100!

Shopping at Target is a favorite passtime of mine. Some people eat their feelings, or work out, but I go to Target. I am sure my wallet wishes I did something else.
Seriously though, I come here about once a week. I only check in half the time out of shame for my Target addiction, but the cashiers can tell you they see me too often. It is just too close to my house to resist the pull of the red.
This Target is like every other Target you have been to. And if you haven’t been to a Target (what? how do you even live?), it is stocked with moderately priced goods ranging from semi-​fashionable clothing, shoes, home décor, toys, beauty supplies, and food. This Target has a grocery in it, so it also has fresh produce, bread and other grocery items. I usually don’t get my groceries here though because there is Kroger Marketplace right next door… but thats for another review.

Ok, full disclosure. Browsing Target is a recreational activity for me. This Target is new, clean, organized, and even has some grocery items you might pick up if you are in a pinch.
The bottom line: fun to see their products and how they choose to market them. Pricing: you are paying a little extra for the cool product design factor.

So it’s been a few months since this Target (finally) opened. My family couldn’t have been more excited.
Granted it is pretty much your standard Target. It has a decent selection of items at a decent price. The best thing about this Target is location, location, location. It is by far the closest store of it’s kind to my house. No more journeys far from home! And a plus for shopping with kids, it has a Starbuck’s and a Snack bar in the store!

I’m no Target aficionado, as I’ve only been to two others before this one — one on Long Island growing up, and the one in Florence, KY. Compared to these other two, however, the Target in Newport is fantastic!
It’s new, so I expected it to be clean, bright, and well-​organized, so in that sense it lived up to expectations. The layout is nearly identical to the one in Florence, but just a bit larger (I think) and with a much better organized grocery section (not that it’s where anyone should do their regular grocery shopping).
Overall, it is a great spot to shop for everything and anything — it’s a mega-​mart! Next time I need bedding or camping gear or cheap furniture, I’ll probably head to this Target.

Ok… so it’s «round 2» and Target Customer service is NOT winning. I went again on my lunch hour to see if they had their ducks in a row.
PRO: the gift registry kiosk was working today. Thanks!
CON: the cart I pulled from the third line of carts had some sort of clear liquid in it that I didn’t see (left by some sticky child and their parent, I suspect – and I have a child, so I’m REALLY cautious about NOT leaving messes for OTHERS) and it got all over the items I intended to purchase for a bridal shower tomorrow.
Found this out when I was heading to the check out. I’d absolutely had it, so I let a clerk know and (PRO) she kindly went back and brought the new items to the register for me.
CON: The lady at the check out only scanned the registry for one of the items, though I told her that all three items were on the registry.

CON: I’m currently sitting on hold… and have been for the last 7 minutes and 52 seconds because I want to see if they can «fix» the fact that the two items I purchased don’t show as «purchased» on the registry. I note that there are other duplicate items on her registry as well…
Still holding. Way to go, Target!!!

Target. My ‘shopping home,’ oh heavenly store. Wait, you’re so evil. I hate how new you smell — and all the colors of red that lure you into buying more — MORE!
Alas, as the newness subsides, I realize — it’s just another Target. The shoe selection is a step up from the Oakley store (it’s sad I know this), and the layout is much more friendly to find things. I also feel like I’m not stepping on someone else to look at something else. I’m sure that will change in a few months when Fall hits, and Christmas craziness starts.
My significant other knows me too well, and any time we walk in there — there have been a list to follow. And if any time, I was looking at anything else off that list — my arm was pulled to move on. So I didn’t really get a chance to check out the new produce section — but it looked a bit overwhelming anyway. I was too excited by the fact they had the record frames in the exact size I needed for a project.
Needless to say I spent all my $ 5.00 coupons that day. OH, and I had two cute dresses.

I honestly didn’t think this Target would ever come. It would be the closest to my house (by far) and although there was a sign for it in the Newport Plaza, it remained in a state of construction without any date to ever be finished.
But then, a miracle! One day, a giant, glowing red banner announced that it would be done in March, 2011! Joy!
And then it was done and I … didn’t really have a need to check out a Target for a while. But I went yesterday and it was glorious.
Ok, to be fair, this is just like every other Target in existence. The floors are bright white (although right now they are new and extra bright-​white). Everything is laid out nicely. Prices are low. Lots of parking. The workers are not overly friendly but will assist you if you need it. The works.
The only thing that really shocked me was a food section. No, I’m not talking your normal rows of cereal and granola bars. I’m talking real produce! A grocery in this Target. Jeeze, that creeped me out. Seriously, I’m never going to come to Target to buy an apple, I don’t care how cheap they are (although I did buy some Craft shredded cheese, so I guess I didn’t care that much.)
So yeah, you know what you’re going to get at a Target. Straight-​down middle of the road goodness.

Oh boy, oh boy– a shiny new Target! I have been waiting for this Target to open because it’s a closer location for me since I live just outside of downtown. I think most people know what to expect when going to a Target, so my review will focus on differences between this store and Ridge road (the next closest Target to downtown)
1. Location: it’s at least 5+ minutes closer to downtown and next to the big, new Kroger.
2. Amenities: it has a Starbucks. It’s a very American thing to walk through a mega-​store with a cup of Starbucks but i can embrace that.
3. It has more food. On that note, however, I will say i was disappointed by the produce selection. The billboard made it look like it would have lots of fresh produce but I really only saw one, medium-​sized stand of fruits and veggies. With that selection of fresh food, it can still onlbe used for convenience shopping for me because I buy mostly fresh food. Howwever, they did have plenty of aisles worth of packaged food.
4. It’s new. I’m not gonna lie, I like new things.
Other than that, I think its pretty similar and has a similar selection of products, nothing drastically more or less. I am not much of a price checker but I did think the yogurt I bought was s few cents more expensive that st the Kroger next door.
I will definitely be making it my new Target, primarily because of the location.

I walked into the new Target with high expectations. I walked out with three new shirts that fit like a glove and I adore. Target, you know me so well.
I hate that I love Target. They’ve made some donations to organizations that I wouldn’t align myself with. However, they’ve opened up this location just minutes from my apartment in OtR and they loaded it with attractive and reasonably priced clothing and housewares. I can’t resist.
There is a fresh food section and as previously mentioned, it’s not all that big. In fact, it’s weird to load my shopping basket with knitted tops and bananas all at once. But I’m willing to try it. Considering that the Kroger next door has a tough time keeping basics in stock like… I don’t know, milk, or garlic, maybe I will pick up my food staples at Target too.
I’m happy that those of us living downtown or close to downtown now have easy access to another big-​box megastore selling home goods at a price I can afford. I don’t feel good about it, but damn it, I love Target.
