Pretty cool magic/joke shop. Picked up some custom decks of playing cards for my card collection and a few tricks. Owner is friendly and will demonstrate any trick for you before you buy. Recommended

We walked in here in August when J, the kids and I had finished with Marble house. There’s only so many gift stores you can peruse in Newport before they become basically the same. The kids were amused but had to ask what many of the items were since they speak and read mostly French. There were many pranks and jokes like whoopee cushions and yucky flavored gum and hand buzzers and other kind of tricks that were clever and funny back in the seventies. Kids would probably like this store, I know I enjoyed these kinds of things when I was a kid. They were selling those rolling balls with what looks like a little ferret tethered to it. They had those gadgets that look like a huge pipe cleaner on a string also. They also had some RC Helicopters, expensive ones too. They had some nylon kites that could be folded up and taken anywhere. It’s a small place and I hope that it survives the Winter season in Newport. I can’t remember if J and the kids bought anything.

An interesting place. Do you need to know where to get fake poop or a severed hand in Newport? This is the place! I went in for a kite, those of you who know a little about Newport know about Brenton Point State Park — there always seems to be a breeze! They have a pretty good selection of kites at this place, at reasonable prices. Beyond the kites though, I honestly don’t know how this place stays in business! Is there really a huge demand for fart spray?
