I’ve been buying glasses here for years and I can’t really imagine going anywhere else. Individualized service and attention is a rarity these days, both are here in spades.

Outstanding personal service in this family owned business, Neil goes out of his way to find the best fit and look for each client. They work closely with our optometrist. My son breaks his glasses monthly and we always go in and are treated with a welcoming smile. Well worth the extra price for A+ kind service year after year. They also have a return period on progressives(bifocals for you young folk).

I went in to get a new pair of lenses for my sunglasses. The lenses were expensive. About $ 30-$ 40 more than the company itself would charge if I just mailed the frames to them, but I wanted to deal with real people, so I paid and left with my glasses. Less than a week later, I opened my hard case and discovered a small crack in the corner of the lens. This was not a crack that I caused, or even a crack in a location that they would break had I dropped them(which I didn’t). They were in a hard case on my desk! I called an told them the problem. They said they would replace the lenses no charge and they would call me when the lenses came in. It took over a month for them to call. When my wife went to get the lenses replace they tried to make her pay full price for the new lenses and would not honor what they had told me on the phone the month before. My wife left the glasses there and later tried to pick up the frames and get them to take the lenses out(since they were broken and I did not want them). They refused and were quite rude to my wife. The rude one was named Neil. Didn’t get his last name The one who gave me false reassurances(probably unintentionally) on the phone was named Mark. After speaking with another optician, I am pretty certain that the lens broke due to over tightening of the frame during lens installation. I am strongly considering contacting optometrists in the area to let them know how poorly my wife and I were treated. I can forgive them being rude to me, but being rude to my wife was inexcusable. Do not buy glasses from them. Do not believe what they tell you over the phone. There are plenty of opticians in the area more deserving of your business.

Bought my first pair of glasses here 3 years ago and i loved them but i too went to a party and broke them but i was missing a huge piece so they were beyond repair. The lenses in my old glasses were still good so i had my mother drive me to Newton and they were able to put my old lenses in new frames and i walked out a half hour later able to see again… amazing! Neal and his team are awesome and they really saved the day!!! They are really fast and just great at what they do… im going back soon for a back-up pair!

My wife bought glasses here three years ago for $ 600. Gradually spots appeared on the surface of the lenses. She recently went back to complain, and they refused to even give a discount on a new pair. The glasses have been properly maintained and the problem is obviously a failure of the coating on the lenses. I would suggest going elsewhere. Their supposed superior service seems to be limited to things like replacing lost screws.

I broke my glasses at a party. And I mean BROKE. But they were my favorite pair. After Lenscrafters told me they wouldn’t even attempt to fix them I brought them to Focal Point and not two minutes later my favorite glasses were wearable once again! The people there are amazing. When I asked how much the repair would be the guy said, «oh, no charge, you’re a customer now». Too perfect.
