Stan’s Salon For Men

I’ve been going to Stan’s for haircuts and beard trims by Pat for over 20 years. Wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Friendly and meticulous.

Old school looking barber shop (Salon is a misnomer methinks) with some old school barbers. With wood wood paneling and wall plaques showing allegiances to local friends, sports and Italian heritage, I’m loving this place. It reminds me of Dente’s in Davis Sq where I used to go when I lived in Somerville.
I’ve gone twice and both times to Joe. He is meticulous, likes to talk about sports and has got a 80s tube TV sitting on the counter. He is a wizard with the scissors and cuts hair like you want it and then finished with a straight edge razor for the neck line. I’ve walked away both times very pleased. At $ 24 it’s not the cheapest cut around, but I find the convenience worth it and if it’s a good cut, I ain’t going no where else.
Stan’s has been in business for over 40 years and Joe has worked there more than half that time. While I’ll miss the hipster vibe of Floyd’s in Boston where I used to go, this is my new neighborhood barber and Joe is my man.
