This place really is a hidden gem. While the exterior(and interior) are a little drab, the food and staff are FANTASTIC. I have been coming here for years, and leave happy every time. Their menu is HUGE, and has just about everything on it. Some of my favorite items are the cheeseburger, tuna salad melt, and triple grilled cheese. They have so many bread choices(including gluten free,) and they also have a great breakfast menu. The best thing about this place is the value; you can get so much, for under $ 10! Be sure to stop in on thursday, where women from the neighborhood set up a table topped with HUGE and delicious muffin tops(oreo, snickers, blueberry etc.) The staff here is so friendly and always make an effort to remember names, ask how you’re doing etc.

Wonderful and friendly staff and AMAZING breakfast sandwiches. I’m writing this as I eat one, actually. They’re quick and easy, so it’s a perfect place to stop on my way to work. I asked for a breakfast sandwich with my egg over-easy instead of scrambled, and the cook did an amazing job and made sure he didn’t break the yolk so it was perfect when I got to work. The prices are great as well. I haven’t tried their lunch sandwiches yet but I definitely will! I absolutely love this place.

Why did it take me so long to find this place? I’ve now tried several of their sandwiches, and they have all been great. Fresh meatballs, tasty bread, good selection of chips, etc. The people who work there are super nice, and they always have different specials. I will be a regular in there!

What a lovely surprise this restaurant is! I have tons of food allergies and they didn’t hesitate to make me a yummy veggie omelette, hold the cheese, with gluten free bread! I was thrilled, and all for less than $ 8. Folks who cook know what they’re doing, and customer service was so friendly and helpful. I’ll be back for coffee as well(they have almond milk if you can’t have milk like me)

I love this place! The employees are always very nice and the food is fresh and yummy. I often get the club, my kids love the tuna, and everything is good! You just can’t go wrong for some tasty sandwiches here — no frills.

My first time going to Sandwich works. It was awesome. Very nice customer service. The man behind the counter was giving free samples of bread out. I got the chicken parm sandwich in a sub roll. It was very good! Definitely recommend this place. I went around 12:30 and was not busy during a weekday lunch. Real good!

Breakfast anytime(I’m sold!) $ 7 for 3egg omelette and toast. Sidewalk seating. Across from a stone church and 2 huge cool trees. Flavored coffee(non syrup flavored!) with«beast 32oz» for $ 3. Why go Starbucks? Good cheap food, coffee, WiFi, seating. Score!!!

Every sandwich I’ve tried here has been amazing. The Turkey Gobbler(complete with stuffing, mayo and cranberry sauce), Rueben, Ruebenette(Rueben with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut), cranberry walnut chicken salad, italian tuna… Ooooh they are all delicious! They also have delicious specials, killer fries and, if you can get there Thursday morning, you get to pick from the day’s muffin top options. So many incredible flavors! And don’t worry if you miss the muffin tops– they usually have some tasty brownies available. The Heath bar brownie is great. The only downside is that, sometimes, they are closed. Like Sundays. So get in there while they’re open and grab a sandwich!

Very good bread was toasted perfectly and of good quality. Coleslaw was fresh and complimented the overall flavor of the sandwich(I got the rubenette) Pricing was fair.

I ordered take out from here recently. I’m sad I didn’t try this place earlier. We got a baked ham sandwich with cheese-this was pretty standard. Also tried the reubenette-tasty! Love the cole slaw and corned beef combo. The curly fries were cooked perfectly. They have dessert-the brownies and seven later bars looked so good, didn’t get to try it but next time!

3.5 stars. With voucher deal in hand, I popped into this sandwich shop to taste their wares. Two tables sat outside, but within was a goodly number of tables/chairs for what was presumably a primarily take-out place. With $ 14 to spend on food, I decided to get both sandwiches that sounded so good to me: Turkey Gobbler $ 7.99 Fresh turkey from the Outpost Farm in Holliston, MA, topped with stuffing, mayo, cranberry sauce, and lettuce Monte Cristo $ 7.59 turkey, ham, and Swiss cheese on lightly battered Texas Toast, grilled to a golden brown Bread options for the Gobbler mentioned to me were simple: White, Wheat, Multigrain, Sub, or Bulkie Roll. I opted for the bulkie roll, yes on the lettuce and mayo, and asked for some tomato. The Gobbler came cold but with irregularly carved slices of turkey, which were much lovelier to the eye than the cold cut thinly sliced turkey in the warm Monte Cristo. Both were tasty but could have been much improved with some slight changes, ie. warming the turkey and the stuffing in the Gobbler, and providing a side of maple syrup with the Monte Cristo for dipping. They offer smoothies for $ 3.79, made from either a mix or fruit juice.

I work right down the street, so I can walk here, and I’m here a lot. This is a simple, unpretentious family owned place, run by great people. I’ve had a lot of different things here, and I’ve yet to get a bad meal. Try one of the grilled sandwiches, like the Westboro, Turkey, Swiss, and Bacon grilled up on rye bread. Can’t go wrong.

I go here as often as my busy schedule allows for a breakfast break… Newton has a shortage of good breakfast and sandwich shops… I’ve tried them all… This place blows the rest out of the water! They have the freshest eggs I’ve ever eaten! I’ve only been here for lunch a handful of times but no matter what I order it has been spectacular!(You gotta try the homemade Mac and cheese when it’s on special) On Thursday mornings the have fresh handmade muffin tops that are addicting. I also would much rather give my money to a mom and pop shop like this place over a chain any day of the week.

This is a neighborhood, old school, family owned café in all the very best ways. Absolutely lovely people, and excellent food. All the basics, always done well. Always. It’s like having your mom whip up breakfast for you. Muffin Top Thursday is now a family tradition for us. I would travel far to spend Thursdays with the crew here. Every Thursday brings new surprises! Thumbs way up!!!

Just went here with my fiancé. The tuna melt was delicious and my caesar salad was good as well. Wouldn’t have ever known of this place without living social, but the good reviews on Unilocal brought us in. Perfect lunch spot!

Not complicated, not gourmet, just good honest sandwiches. Was in the area and stopped in based on reviews. Sandwich Works lived up to their reputation. I had the reubenette(really a Rachael) and it was great. Brownie with melted health bar? Yes please!
